Beautiful facility with the pretty green pastures surrounding the casino. Check was easy and that was with a "Newie" in training. It was our first time there and we will be back. Sherry, in the Rewards area, was just a joy from the minute we walked up to the cage to get our badges. She represents the Hotel with an uplifting and award winning smile to greet clients. She made us feel warm and welcomed. Jay (Jackson) in the Gator Grill was also very friendly and a good server. The food was very good and my only complaint is that the the lighting was too bright for evening. Would have liked a little more ambience.

Great facility. One negative. Super pungent smell of cigarettes every corner you turn. As soon as you exit the guest elevators, it smacks you in the face!

MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THERE DON'T SEEM TO BE ANY HANDICAP PARKING NEAR THE ENTRANCE. WE HAD TO DO THE VALET PARKING WHICH I DON'T REALLY LIKE. YOU DO NEED MORE FOOD OPTIONS. BUT OVERALL WE HAD A VERY NICE TIME. THE PLACE IS QUIET. WE NEVER HEARD ANYONE IN THE HALLWAYS. WE FELT SAFE. WE WERE TO TIRED TO VISIT THE POOL WE HOPE TO DO THAT NEXT TIME.

No pool access, gym was closed and horse racing was not going during my stay. The bar staff was servicing another restaurant and came by if you stuck your head into the doorway... asked for a credit or some incentive and was told there was nothing they could do or offer... wont be back!

Beautiful Room Great Bed & shower if you didn't have to go through the HORRIBLY SMOKEY CASINO it would be better. As wwll as no valet assistance handicap and was hard to carry my bags uphill It was spring bresk and pool was closed and dirty.

Breakfast was limited and not great. Coffee comes with powdered creamer. But a lovely server got me cream from another area.super sweet. The only room available was smoking room. Didn’t care for that but it was a room. Bed was clean. The tile around the bathroom was really dirty & the shelf in the bathroom had hair in it. Kind of gross. The cleaners clean the parts you touch not what you see. The carpet was pretty stained up. All that said the place has a comfortable feel to it, the casino bathroom had a lady that seems to stay in it and keeps it clean. I’ll try it again when I can get a non smoking room maybe that will be better, I’ll also carry cream for my coffee.

The room had clean towels however, there was trash on the floor of the room, and hair between the sheets. I also noticed hair on the floor in the bathroom. I didn’t notify the front desk because I was only taking a nap before getting back on the road, so I made it work. The view was really nice my room was overlooking the hotel pool and hot tub.

When we opened the door to the room it was a musty smell. Just the fan was blowing. No ac. We turned the ac down and wen we returned after midnight it still was not cold. We just slept with the sheet.

My husband and I went for our anniversary and the room was very nice and clean the only problem was the tv had no remote and the room was a little ac didn’t seem to work very well. Would like to have excess to a microwave in the room or even on the floor by the ice machine. But we liked it staying there very much. Rooms are wonderfully nice and clean

Room was clean and tidy, customer restrooms were well managed and clean and the casino was great. Big assortment of slots and there was regular drink service and clean up personnel on hand to keep the spot areas clean and tidy. Highly recommend.

Went with friends and we had a blast. Not the newest hotel but it was clean. Loved the casino and track, didn’t win but it was fun. The waitresses were not really walking around often , had to track them down in casino. Overall worth the stay and then heading to lake charles for day to the bigger casinos.

Casino/hotel/racetrack is located in a rural area. The casino was bright, clean and fun to experience. The hotel room was immaculate. The furnishings were In excellent condition and the bed was great. I have stopped at the casino before but never stayed overnight. Next trip we will definitely spend the night.

The hotel was clean and the room was beautifully maintained. The casino was fun, however staff at the Cashier were not very friendly. Lots of machines to choose from. Parking lot was littered with trash. There was a lack of nearby restaurants as well as the choice of restaurants within the hotel. We found out the two of of the restaurants were closed or had limited menus on Mon and Tues. So we drove to Orange Texas which is approximately 20 mins away. Overall it was a good stay and we will be planning on returning now that we know the limited restaurants.

The casino hotel is very nice, the rooms are spacious. and the staff is friendly. For a person with mobility issues, be aware that it’s a bit of a walk from the reservation desk, to the hotel elevators and rooms.

Staying after racings was so convenient. Valet parking was really helpful for me. Bellman helped me check in as well with getting me to my room. Front desk staff was so helpful,putting me near elevator so I would not far to walk(I have a breathing problem). Would stay again. Was a little pricey for one night but convenient!

The casino and hotel are great. Have stayed here for 20 yeats and seen it go through many changes. It’s a hidden gem in the casino/hotel world of Louisiana. The ONLY 2 things that i be negative about at all even though I’ll still always come here, is the parking. It’s very huge and plenty of spaces. But i am handicap and there’s no handicap parking. And the walk up to the entrance is uphill and exhausting. I know they do have parking services by the front door but i will not allow my truck to be driven by anyone. Ever. They need a place up front for handicap parking. The lot has plenty room to do this

If you want a gambling holiday this is a suitable place but if you're traveling for work or pleasure, maybe not so much. There was a $17.50 "resort" fee even though Expedia said all charges were included in the price. Breakfast "for a fee" was minimalistic cafeteria style grab and go ... and the coffee was the worst I've ever had. Valet parking was appreciated because we arrived with a rainstorm. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

The rooms were clean. Overall, good experience but one of the in site restaurants food quality and taste was horrible. Forget the name but the one in the middle. I tried burger and roast beef cheddar sandwiches.
