Excellent location for dogs and their people. Responsive staff providing extra blankets and space heater when heater didn’t work. Wonderful location for walks in the redwoods, delicious breads and coffee at Gia Cafe, and meals at Northwood Golf C.ourse

The room are basic, but perfectly organise. Supplies are available and in good quantities. That is a really price/quality location. The outside would need a little love around the pool, but the pool is nicely maintained as well. All the staff were kind and helpful. We will be back when we are back.

We've driven by every time we visit the area, so we thought we would check it out this time. The staff welcomed us very well, the pool was great, and the room was comfy though sparse. The overall motel itself is quite rundown; as many places on the road nowadays, it needs a good upgrade. But it was pleasant to stay there.

The place was fine, a little dirty and a little moldy on the window coverings. Probably not a problem for most people, but I have a mold allergy, so I had a reaction to sleeping in the room, unfortunately. Check in was... odd. The office was closed (at 6pm -- check in is until 7pm!) I was greeted by someone who only sort of seemed to work there. He appeared to be living there, but didn't seem to have access to the office, or any information. He did try to help me get into my room. He asked me for my room number and my after-hours lockbox code, which had been texted. He then tried several times to open my lockbox and get my key out, unsuccessfully. He then opened the door to my room woth his master key, and told me to just leave the door ajar if I needed to go out for dinner or something. I told him that I wasnt comfortable with that, and I needed a key to my room. He said I could call the main number on the office to see if they could help. I didnt get through to them, but I did eventually just try the lock box on my own, and it worked fine. So, it all turned out fine, but it was strange not to have someone there, and the suggestion to not give me a key at all was strange...

The property needs a refresher. There is an ancient box spring mattress, there was no additional security lock on the door and the room could be cleaner. There was a bottle cork and dirt from previous guests on the floor, and one of the old box springs had no zip cover on it. The pool closes so early, then wasn’t accessible in the morning at the posted time. I had to knock on the office door for an unsociable employee to open the pool up. There was a mixup with online booking, so I had to pay the hotel directly, even though I’d already paid for the room. Either trust the online booking, or don’t advertise with them! If I book a room and pay for it, it is between the two businesses at that point. Casa Secoya called me at 6pm, when I was almost there, and would not check me in unless I paid a second time for the room. It was late, and I felt I had no choice, and didn’t want stress while on vacation. The next morning, the employee at the desk was not personable or helpful when asked to support with the process of getting refunded for my double payment, she couldn’t have cared less and did not even say thank you for staying, have a nice day, nothing! While this property was affordable, I would never stay here again. The key cards didn’t work well either.

The Casa Secoya was a great find. Nice older motel with a pool comfortable grounds. The bed was super comfy and there was plenty of hot water. The staff and other guests were friendly. The rooms are small but there was enough room for 2 adults and a big dog. The location is great, we hope to return

Its great that they are dog friendly but the rooms are tiny and the walls are thin. The people next to us had a dog that barked late at night, in the middle of the night and very early in the morning. We had a fan on but the walls are so thin it was extremely loud and obnoxious. Also they leave the outdoor lights on all night but don't have black out curtains so it was very bright. We did not get any sleep.

Casa Secoya is a lovely property that works as a good base for day trips to the many recreational areas nearby. The room I had was very small so I can't imagine spending too much time lounging in it other than laying on the bed watching TV before bed. There was a small fridge and microwave, which was nice, but there's no table to eat at, so having meals in the room is a little tricky. The pool area is nice with lots of chairs and loungers and a large grass area. The room and bathroom was very clean and well kept.

Fine property, kind of like an upgraded motel 6 or old school motel. Good location, right next to Guernewood golf course. Biggest issue was room wasn’t ready at check in due to shortage of housekeeper. I give the front desk clerk credit - he cleaned the room personally, but it was a three hour delay to get into my room.

We called at 7pm to let hotel know our tv didn't work. Was told someone would get back to us. No call. Called again at 8 and was told the same. Tried to get the direct number to manager and would not be given. No call all night. We spent the night without tv and very disappointed. No offer to compensate upon leaving.

We did not enjoy our stay, as a mater of fact we stayed at another hotel. I was super disappointed. No one at the desk and no one could be reached on the phone. There were workers but none of them spoke English. We really loved staying in the past but probably will not book again. Still had to pay:(

We love it up here. A true gem by the Russian River. This was our second stay up here and the staff and property are amazing. Spacious cabins, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and overall decor. The pool is such a treat, especially for the kids. And Javier, the property manager has been so accommodating and helpful during both our stays. Of course, super close to the beaches so a really convenient location. We plan to make this our regular summer getaway spot!

Fantastic stay at Casa Secoya! Such a great hotel in a great location. About 15 mins to the coast. In the same parking lot as a great hidden gem 9 hole course. Surrounded by redwoods. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff especially front desk was super friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Casa Secoya is a delightful and affordable place to stay. It's less than a 10-minute drive to Guerneville and close to all that Monte Rio has to offer. The owner Javier was very helpful and attentive. The pool is great for laps and convenient to have Bia Cafe next door. The room is comfortable but the bed creaks. Because the rooms look out on to each other, there is not much privacy and you need to keep the shades down. Their website recommended Iron Horse Winery, which was a real delight!

Check in time was at 4:00, yet our room wasn’t ready until 5:00. Not good after an 8 hour drive. No coffee maker in the room. No coffee available until after 9:00. The advertisement is very misleading. It shows pics of the large cabin with the bar height counter top with stools. The room was extremely tiny as were the bathrooms. Nothing fancy at all. One pic on the wall. Loved everything about the town and the hiking. Will return but won’t be staying there again.

What a gem this place is. Rooms are beautiful, well appointed and immaculately clean. There’s all you need onsite (albeit being early risers we did have to go to the local Safeway for early coffees but that’s our making being early risers lol) with a well stocked reception area, pool, cornhole, picnic areas, fire pits and more. Add to that a diner, bakery and an incredible golf course all within a 3 minute walk you’ve truly hit the jackpot if you stay here.

We enjoyed dinner and drinks at the restaurant across the way (Northwood)... The food was great, service was great and the full bar was much appreciated! We also really enjoyed the live music! We slept well- It was so quiet at night! In the morning we went to Bia Cafe (a one minute walk from our room)... and had the best coffee! What a selection of pastries, muffins, etc! Hawaiian music and island vibe made this another highlight of our trip! What a treat to be so close to the ocean, the redwoods and town... and all the comforts! Everyone was so welcoming! Can't wait for our next trip!

Absolutely adorable place. Big grassy area by the pool with lawn chairs. Very friendly staff. Coffee would have been nice but there’s an adorable cafe 50 feet away by the golf course and they have great food too. Lots of trees and nature. Loved it.

The reservation process was easy and the staff was welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and well-supplied. The bed was comfortable and the only thing I might suggest is maybe make two of the four pillows a little less poofy so people have a choice when they sleep. A coffee maker in the room would also be great or even some instant coffee it was nice having the restaurant across the street. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!
