Main House - Klickitat River Inn

Renter beware!!! This home is surrounded by what I can only describe as Meth houses.. The host was impossible to reach and gave us inaccurate instructions to obtain the keys to the home. There is zero cell reception, so we were at the mercy of someone checking on us to make sure we arrived. After waiting quite some time the host showed up and gave us a generic code to obtain the house keys. As we unloaded our luggage, the host follows us in the home with her three dogs who ran through the house jumping on everything and everyone. The host stops me to tell me that her nephew recently robbed her and that the window in the kitchen was still broken, she hadn’t had time to have the window fixed before we arrived. The host was unable to secure the window shut until my husband was able to force the window closed. I called VRBO immediately as we did not feel safe staying in the house and they offered me $100 for my inconvenience. We were forced to stay overnight as there were no other close accommodations and at that point it was too late at night to drive anywhere else. That night someone attempted to break in the home, but was unsuccessful because my husband placed chairs against the doors. In the morning someone had pooped near the front door (clearly human)… We left that day.

Perfect location for fishing, this time of year. Close to wineries. Close to Columbia Gorge and wonderful observatory !

The cabin was clean and right on the river. Beautiful setting and the host was fantastic with a few extra touches to make our stay memorable!

We had a great stay. Everything was more than we expected from a couple of fisherman.

We love the River Inn! The hosts Guy and Linda go above and beyond. Its truly a beautiful relaxing setting. The house is well stocked and cozy. We were traveling for our birthday and anniversary, Guy left got us a little gift and decorated! The hospitality! Really wonderful genuine people that own and operate the Inn. We've had the pleasure of seeing an otter family from the patio. Many deer, birds, fish. We can't wait to go back!
