Cambria Hotel Mount Pleasant - Charleston

It was a very short stay but felt the packed car was safe in the hotel’s Parking lot

Clean, spacious rooms. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Laundry on site was a plus for us, since we were in town for a baseball tournament. Pool was nice and clean.

Nice property. Pool should stay open later.

Property is 6 years old but you would not know that by looking at it. It has been well maintained, rooms are very nice and clean, front lobby is beautiful and clean. One down side they listed a happy hour and food available, but it wasn’t open for some reason.

Very nice hotel, clean and decent size rooms with nice big bathroom and a chaise chair. Great spot to stay, less than 15 mins from Isle of Palms beach and downtown Charleston, tons of great restaurants nearby in Mount Pleasant. Can walk to Ye Olde ice cream which is great. Easy to park and easy access to highways, lots of stores nearby. Nice little bar inside and a small outdoor pool.

It was well kept and the staff were extremely friendly. Loved the gym!

My only complaint is that I wish the restaurant had earlier hours. It would be great to have a lunch/brunch option on the weekends.

I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s a very fairly priced option in the Charleston area. Room was clean, gym was had everything you needed. Wish they would clean/restock the room daily though.

Clean updated rooms. Great hotel to use as a base for visiting Charleston & area. Pool was small but clean . Would have liked to have at least coffee offered in am as they do not have a breakfast service. Good value for the $.

Facility was modern and clean. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. While you could by yogurt and cereal for breakfast, there was not many breakfast options.

I highly recommend this hotel. It is pristine clean! Comfortable beds, fluffy towels, nice toiletries and large room. I loved it, and the price was very reasonable. It was an easy trip over the bridge to go to King St. Lots of grocery stores and everything you need nearby!

No washcloths in bathroom. Shower did not drain. No WiFi. Towels so thin it took two to dry off. Reception at checkin was very unfriendly. Hot tub broken. Only one elevator working. In dire need of maintenance. This was our third stay at this property and each stay was worse than the time before. Will not stay there again.

Very nice property, but at the end of the stay we noticed ants in the room that covers a box of food on the counter.

Very clean, stylish and modern hotel. Definitely recommend for its convenience to Charleston attractions and restaurants etc. Will definitely consider going back in future

We love staying at Cambria Mt Pleasant. We are in Charleston at MUSC for various procedures and treatments for my daughter throughout the year. Cambria is our home away from home when we need a room for a few nights stay. The rooms and property are always clean. Staff is always polite and helpful and always check in to see if we need anything.

Very clean. Hot water was questionable. Refrigerator not cool enough. Morning of departure next door woke us up at 5:30 am. sounded like they were in our room. the opened the door on their side for a joining rooms.

Everything was perfect except the neighbors who would slam their door every 10 minutes.

We stayed here to get ready for the cruise so I didn’t expect much. But oh wow, from now this hotel will be my go-to place when I visit Charleston (or for another cruise!). The staff were super nice, friendly, and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. I believe it’s renovated because everything looks new. The room is super spacious. The blackout curtains are legit. The only downside is that you can hear people upstairs, but other than that everything is perfect. 5/5 would stay again.

The corner king suite was beautiful! It was like staying in an apartment. So spacious it was!!

Beautiful room and a great staff. Bed was very, very soft. Not sure if it was intended to be this soft or just worn out. Staff was very, very good.

Sliding bathroom doors don’t provide quiet when someone is using the bathroom/shower.. Only thing I would change..

The hotel was fine but the water pressure in the shower was the worst I’ve ever seen.

TV access with ancient Direct TV doesn’t go with the $220.00 night bill. No Netflix. No movies on demand. No link with lap top computers. Remote didn’t work to scan through the channel guide. WiFi was intermittent.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. The room doesn't have overhead lighting and was a little dark. The bed and couch don't face the tv making it uncomfortable to watch tv. Overall very good experience with staff, convenient location, and clean room.

My daughter and I stayed at the Cambria Hotel for a girls trip to Charleston. The room was wonderful -- lots of space and a very comfortable bed. The only complaint was the shower. There was a half-wall of glass, so there was no privacy; which meant that only one person could be in the bathroom at a time if someone was in the shower. Also -- the water pressure was HORRIBLE. Since the shower head was so high, it felt like there was barely a trickle of water once it hit my 5-foot frame.

Our 3-night stay was AWESOME! Each staff member that we came in contact with were friendly & professional beyond reproach (a special shout-out to Sidney for accommodating our sudden request with such grace, due to an unanticipated injury that limited my hubby's mobility. The change of room to be closer to the elevator was appreciated more than you'll ever know!). Our room was exceptionally clean & comfortable. It was also generally quiet with the occasional exception of the noisy upstairs guest(s). Due to other plans, we didn't get the opportunity to use the pool for swimming, but we did find a little bit of time to sit on the edge to hang our feet in the water & take in some afternoon sunshine. So peaceful! Unfortunately (by no fault of the property), the bar & restaurant were closed during our entire stay, due to the sudden death of the bar/restaurant employee the day prior to our arrival. 😢 So, we ended up having food delivered instead. The only real downside that we had with this property was the lack of ANY sort of on-site breakfast. Though we knew this before booking, we would highly recommend at least providing a Continental breakfast option in the future for the comfort of your guests. It would've been nice this time, especially since the bar & restaurant was closed (and that was one of the on-site amenities for why we opted to book at this location). For that, our overall rating really hovers closer to a 4. All in all though, we hope to return again sometime.

Our recent stay at the Cambria was wonderful. From a warm welcome at Check-in to seamless check out and experiences throughout the stay it was fantastic. The room was clean and spacious. We were often checked on and asked if we needed anything. I will definitely return and have referred other family members to book their stay here as well!

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel overall. When I checked in on October 8th, the young man at the front desk was delightful and made the process smooth and welcoming. The rooms are great! However, my experience the next morning was less positive. I asked for a 20-minute late checkout, but the elderly African American lady at the front desk informed me that they were fully booked and needed to clean the rooms. While I understand that, as someone who works in hospitality, our motto has always been that the customer is always right—or at the very least, we make an effort to show that every request is considered, even if we can’t accommodate it. Unfortunately, her response was rude, abrupt, and very matter-of-fact, which left me feeling dissatisfied. I saw only one maid on the floor surely she could not possibly clean everybody's room in 20 minutes! Despite this encounter, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again.

We enjoyed our one night stay so much that we returned after another day of touring the Charleston area. Mel checked us in. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We will stay here for our future visits.

I received a text at 11:44 pm (woke me up) stating there were children running around knocking on doors and that if this behavior was not stopped I would be fined $100.00. I texted back stating that I have no children, and now that I have been woken up I cannot get back to sleep. I received a text back stating that all the patrons received this text. My reply was they should identify the offenders and deal with them specifically, rather than sending out a mass, disturbing, and monetarily threatening text. The reply was there was only one person at the night desk which they cannot vacate. My response was that it is then very apparent there should be two employees on the night desk. The question I have is how can they fine a patron when there is absolutely no idea of who is responsible for the violation? I lost most of a night's sleep. I paid for a place to sleep for 4 nights but only received 3. I will not choose your establishment for any future stays. Very disappointing and I will certainly warn family and friends of Cambria's policy when dealing with situations such as this.

Hotel was clean, new and fairly priced for the location. Super convenient to Mt Pleasant, Daniel Island, IOP, Sullivans Island as well as Charleston. Very nice hotel

Walkable to walmart and probably other eateries, short drive to attractions.

Nice hotel with great staff. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was a bit hidden, but very convenient.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel in Mount Pleasant, an attractive suburb of Charleston. The room was very comfortable, and the front desk service, especially from Jacob and Sunshine, was outstanding. It was located near some fine restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only negative is that it's a bit distant from Charleston and even further away from the airport, which can be a problem when there is heavy traffic, and that happens daily, especially at rush hour.

Very good stay at the Cambria Hotel in Mt. Pleasant. Only thing i would improve on, is adding a continental breakfast.

I came to Charleston for an event and I was happy with the conditions of the hotel. I was a little nervous because the price was lower than most other places I checked, but everything was like brand new. I ordered from the restaurant twice and it was really good and quick. The front desk personnel and bar tender were also very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this facility!

This is a great hotel! We stayed here for our trip to Charleston because it was more cost effective than staying downtown. Our room was very nice, I loved that they had a pool (although we never had time to use it). I also liked that they had a bar/restaurant which was nice to come back to after a day of exploring to have a nightcap. The staff that I dealt with were all very kind. Except the bartender, he was crusty, but definitely entertaining if you stayed on his good side lol.

Didn’t like the fact that breakfast was supposed to be included in our 6 day stay, just to find out after we get there that they were not going to be doing breakfast because of the ball tournaments going on. Only the teams were getting breakfast!!!
