Had a wonderful 1 night stay. We stayed in the Lighthouse room, which was bright and cool. All rooms are on the second floor, so pack accordingly. The hallway, kitcgen and dining area upstairs are not airconditioned, but there was a breeze and fans. The view if the St Lawrence from there was so relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, but would recommend that they get better quality plastic ware. We would stay there again. We also did the sunset river cruise which was a very relaxing, affordable 2 hour boat ride (owned by the same people as the Inn).

The view from our third-floor room was beautiful, but the walk up three flights of stairs was challenging for my knees. Parking was very convenient, and the breakfasts were enjoyable. The included tour on a glass bottom boat was outstanding. We will return.

Located just outside Clayton along side cruise boats. Very comfortable with access to screen porch overlooking st Lawrence river. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Overall very enjoyable

Our suite was clean, nicely decorated, and right on the St. Lawrence River. Short drive to state parks, boat launches, wooden boat museum, many restaurants, a distillery, and a brewery. There is a food trailer located next door that does have some different food options during daytime hours, and there are boat tours available out of this location also. 2 free boat tour tickets with a two night stay! Also a small complimentary buffet breakfast on property from 8-10 am. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to visit.

This place has a water view plus had a nice buffet breakfast. Room was spacious and clean. The free boat ride we had (because we stayed two nights) was really nice. We took the sunset cruise and got great pics. Captain Jack kept us safe on the water.

The Inn is beautiful. There is no sign out front so I passed it the first time. The room is beautiful and the bathroom is huge!! You could have a dance on the floor in there. And you can not beat the price in this area!! It is a resort town. The key was in the lobby as I was told. There is a common area with a screened in porch that overlooks the river which is really nice. Heading out there for coffee.

This basically a bed and breakfast with each of the 5 rooms having private bath and TV. Hot water was just warm and took some time to get hot water to bath. Hot breakfast was excellent and there are nice views from screened patio off kitchen. Shared living area has nice seating and dining area. All rooms up flight of stairs. Located next to Clayton Water Tours. Free water tour if more than 2 night stay.

What a lovely place to stay! We were there 5 nights and were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary boat trip! It was a nice touch for our Wedding Anniversary trip. The room is spacious and inviting. The bed was a little too firm for me but my husband really enjoyed it. I put a towel down to pad the top and was good. There were plenty of amenities available for us for our stay and the breakfast each day was a nice touch. Although I would have preferred a fridge and microwave in-room, the shared utilities weren’t bad and others were respectful. All of the staff was fantastic! There was reserved parking for guests of the Inn so we never had to worry when the lot was full for boat tours and the parking attend was diligent at making sure everyone in the Inn parking spaces were, in fact, Inn guests. Just a point to nite that there is a flight of stairs to climb to get to most rooms (one room has two flights) for anyone who can’t do stairs but if that’s no issue, I recommend staying here for sure!!

This property is in an older house and our room on second floor. There is a kitchen available for use with daily breakfast included in cost of room. Our room was clean and the decor was charming with a fish camp theme. Small refrigerator in room, WiFi. Plenty of towels and the bed was the most comfortable of my 10 day road trip. We stayed two nights and our boat tour of the Thousand Islands and Boldt Castle was included. Staff very friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful area to visit and I would stay here again if return in the future. There is no elevator so if you have problem with stairs this can be an issue.

Our stay was very enjoyable and would stay here again. It is a short 10 minute drive to Alexandria Bay. The Village of Clayton is 2 minutes away. Plenty of things to do and see. The room with King size bed was very comfortable. The very large bathroom was a nice add. Breakfast was very delicious with no shortage. Seconds was not a problem. The complimentary Boat tickets to Boldt Island was a nice Perk. The only negative was the very nice porch overlooking the River could have used some cleaning, There were many cob webs that I had to clear. Other than that, its a great place. Regards John A Musco.

Very cute and clean. Close to downtown Clayton and not a far drive to Alexandria Bay. We had plenty of space in our room and loved the common areas and the breakfast that was included. We stayed enough nights to have a boat tour, which also an excellent and fun experience!

It was confusing - reached out to dede many times to ask if i was parked in the tifjt spot and where to take my payment. I was given no response and left my payment in the front foyer when i left- i emailed to let her know and once afain didnt get a response- it was very clean and quaint however there was an over whelming cigar smoke that made my allergies flare up.

It was a good stay for our one night. The check in was efficient and professional but not overly friendly...nothing negative...just all business. Toilet handle stuck and would keep running if we didn't push it up. Clean. Resonable price! I would stay here again.

This is an older Inn, but with little musty odor. Room was a very large, clean comfortable, as was the bathroom. Pleasant continental ++ (more than just starch and juice) breakfast. Nice view of the water. Would plan to stay here again.

I’ve stayed here before, so I knew what to expect. I really loved the duck room. It has beautiful views of the river, which was completely snow covered. Everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom spacious. The inn was super quiet this time of year . I will definitely be back.

Check-in with easy; my key, receipt, and instructions for my stay were in an envelope on a table in the entryway when I arrived. The common space and my room were very clean and generally very quiet, although some of the other guests were occasionally loud going up and down the stairs. The bed was not particularly comfortable, and the room was way too hot – I wound up having to open windows. Other than those two issues, I liked the place and would stay there again.

Stayed in room #5. Nice room with lots of space (basically a one bedroom apartment). The only negative is the low ceilings. If you are tall I would request another room. Breakfast was delicious.

First, the bed was the most comfortable of any accommodations we have experienced in a hotel/inn/motel! Second, great room and bathroom. Third, awesome coffee and breakfast. I highly recommend!!!!

Traveling for business, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The rooms were clean and beautiful. I felt extremely comfortable and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked with breakfast supplies and snacks. I highly recommend this gem of a place!

The house was unmarked, no sign indicating it was Chateau Country Inn. We arrived after 6 pm, so our key was left on a table in the foyer. We collected the key and went to dinner. We returned after 9 pm, and the front door was locked. The key did not work in the front door and no one answered the phone when we called the number. We finally caught the attention of another guest who opened the front door for us. Once we got to our room, it was lovely. The free breakfast the next morning was great and the ladies who served it were nice and helpful

Just a very lovely place to stay. So many little touches. Responsive and kind owners and staff. We loved our stay and have already made plans to come back. Our room was so nice, the complimentary breakfast was great as well. We also suggest the boat tour they offer, it was perfect!

Super friendly staff. So many personal touches, towel swan on bed like on a cruise, snacks and beverages in community kitchen, located right along shore of St Lawrence River, good recommendations for dinner.

This was perfect location in Clayton. Close to everything. Everyone was extremely friendly. Very clean and quiet. Hot breakfast options in the morning was just right. Will book again when in the Thousand Island area.

Our suite was clean, nicely decorated, and right on the St. Lawrence River. Short drive to state parks, boat launches, wooden boat museum, many restaurants, a distillery, and a brewery. There is a food trailer located next door that does have some different food options during daytime hours, and there are boat tours available out of this location also. 2 free boat tour tickets with a two night stay! Also a small complimentary buffet breakfast on property from 8-10 am. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to visit.

This place is fantastic. Quiet, clean and beautifully done. I have driven by many times without really paying attention to the building from the road. Its a true hidden gem! And conveniently located to all the Thousand Islands has to offer.

The Inn is beautiful. There is no sign out front so I passed it the first time. The room is beautiful and the bathroom is huge!! You could have a dance on the floor in there. And you can not beat the price in this area!! It is a resort town. The key was in the lobby as I was told. There is a common area with a screened in porch that overlooks the river which is really nice. Heading out there for coffee.

The stay was pleasant. The only sticky point is that it was advertised as a B&B. No breakfast was supplied. They claimed that this was because it was still considered winter hours. At least there was a Keurig so we managed to have coffee.

Yummy breakfast during our 4 days. Great boat tour, our guide very good. On the very last day packing up to go, noticed the TV didn’t work. Or operator error… who cares! 4.5 stars, nothing is perfect!

A great spot to explore the 1000 Islands. We attended the town's wine festival, took a complimentary boat excursion to Boldt Castle since we were staying 2 nights at the Inn. First class boat service with mate providing excellent commentary on the the trip. I'd have paid the fee for the boat, as many people did the weekend we were there. Excellent breakfast in a cozy atmosphere that enables you to meet the 4 other couples there.

This is an older Inn, but with little musty odor. Room was a very large, clean comfortable, as was the bathroom. Pleasant continental ++ (more than just starch and juice) breakfast. Nice view of the water. Would plan to stay here again.

There was a bat flying around inside the hotel in the evening of our our stay. We contacted the owner and she basically said they would try to find it later in the day. We were not pleased with her response.
