Zenit Convento San Martin

The room was fantastic, great location and the staff was very accommodating. My only feedback was the room service menu - and it’s not that it was bad - but it was very limited and only sushi. The parking options (either in the hotel which is what we did or the lot nearby if they are full) are fantastic. All-in-all I would highly recommend this hotel.

Parking was an issue during our stay, When we arrived, there were no spots on site and the reception person gave us the location of two parking garages. Both parking garages were full and it took a half an hour to find another park garage. It was a 20 minute walk with our luggage to the hotel. There is no parking in front of the hotel to drop your luggage or street parking. When I told two people at the reception desk, they were dismissive of my complaint. You are not allowed to prebook or request a spot prior to your check in when I asked the reception person if it was a possibility. In addition, when I was booking the hotel on Expedia, it stated that the parking fee was 25 Euros in the parking garage but the actual price was higher.

Really great spot, parking on site as well if available, beautiful lobby/bar and great facilities.

Nice but twin bed was hard for my taste and sheets were a bit rough. Gym is small and not that clean. Overall great building, room nice cool and dark via exterior shade. Breakfast was good.

Nice bar and restaurant. They will park your car and you won’t need it to get around.

Great location with easy walk to the beach and all sectors of this wonderful city. The hotel itself is excellent - staff, ambiance, facilities, on-site parking, food and drinks, etc.

A great location for a base, not too far from anywhere. Beautiful hotel with bright clean rooms. Helpful staff and lovely rooftop area. Gym is a little small but we got all our steps in from walking around the town.

Great location, beautiful hotel and fantastic staff. It’s a very easy walk to the beach, to Old Town, and to hundreds of shops and restaurants. The little pool on the rooftop (7th floor) was very clean and refreshing, and the poolside furniture was very comfortable for lounging and relaxing. The exercise room is very small but has a treadmill, bicycle and some dumbbells, so it had everything I needed, and I only saw one other person there on one occasion.

A very well-located, clean and friendly hotel. The service staff was amazing. The front desk was welcoming and very nice. We had breakfast daily and it was fantastic. Really enjoyed it and would recommend highly. A great place to stay near to the beach, too. There's a quite little bar next door with locals and we enjoyed that very much, too.

Not a 5 star hotel...more like 3.5. Noisy rooms...can hear people cleaning hall and rooms next door. Also I found hair in clean towels twice evan after changing towels. However, the staff was excellent...the price did not match the quality of the hotel

Yes,however the room was in a dark corridor that looked more like a buncker tunnel.

I liked the location of this property because it was central to all the activities my wife and I wanted to do. The hotel was clean, the staff were helpful, and it was certainly walkable to the beach, old town, and the funicular. My only grope about the room was that you could hear conversations and commotion in the rooms next door. Overall, I would consider this hotel again if I visit San Sebastian, but I would bring ear plugs for sleeping.

We stayed in many hotels around this beautiful area of similar quality/price range. Most cheaper than this one but then Zenit is in the heart of San Sebastián so it’s only fair to expect it to be more expensive. We came by car & found locating the parking spot, across the road up a side street a tad tricky to find, the hotel is on a pretty busy road and seeing its name plate (hidden behind an open door) didn’t make it easier either. Anyway, once parked up the great staff took over all of that and moved the car for us. Check-in was easy and the staff very friendly. The reception and bar area is very nice and as in many of the photos you will no doubt have been attracted to. Up the elevator and the room floors are super modern but incredibly dark, black walls and fittings with some back lighting but it’s dark and even the door numbers are hard to make out at first. The floors are pretty short but there’s some clever use of big mirrors at the end of corridors to make them look longer. Our room was a superior with a balcony as described and the balcony area was nice and welcome but overlooked by local apartments. The room was modern, light and airy, bathroom pretty modern, a small bath with shower overhead note very big though. We had a large bed which was pretty comfortable with nice clean bedding. But my main grip would be that for the money the room actually felt a tad cheaply fitted. Pretty cheap furniture desk and chair, laminate floor etc. Overall a good stay though.

Great hotel in a great location with excellent staff and an excellent buffet breakfast. Just need to request a room at the rear of the hotel to avoid noise from the front by the road. Some cushions for the loungers on the sun terrace would also be appreciated.

Lobby and bar are beautiful! But for the price, I expect better service warmer welcome. Room is spacious and nice but air conditioning was weak so it was too hot for me to sleep.

The staff were courteous and helpful. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was spacious. There is a lovely lobby bar. I would stay here again.

The Hotel Zenit Convento looks nice on the surface, with newly renovated rooms and a very pretty bar. However everything else is severely lacking. The rooms had floating floorboards that creak so loudly it woke my husband up every time I got up. Several amenities you’d expect in a 4 star hotel were missing, like tissues and water. The breakfast service was total chaos. No one came around to ask if you would like to order something like eggs, and people had to try to flag one of the frenetic staff down to order. A couple people near us never got their order, and others were never able to place an order. The coffee machine was broken 2 out of the 3 days we stayed, and tables weren’t bussed leaving a mess everywhere. The buffet was lacking basics like fresh fruit (other than a bowl of kiwi every day). The worst was the front desk and bar staff. No one ever smiled or asked how our stay was, and when we checked out the person at the desk just said “you owe 90 euros” without offering to give us the invoice. The bartenders and other staff would stand around talking to each other and ignore customers. We mentioned the poor breakfast service on our first day to the manager and he was very apologetic and nice. The next day they seemed to be trying harder in the restaurant, but during our entire stay we never felt welcome by any of the staff. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Wonderful service. I had to park my car in a public parking lot and when I retrieved my car, one of the hotel workers accompanied me. Thank goodness, because it was actually very complicated. That was above and beyond.

Just a phenomenal and unique hotel. Very detail oriented. Staff extremely helping. The restaurant was absolutely impeccable! Will certainly come back = )

Our Zenit Premium Experience was great. Beautiful hotel and easy access from Amara station. Attentive and friendly hospitality. Our Guest Service Manager was great. She arranged an early check-in and taxi transfer to Mugaritz. We can't wait to return.

We stayed at Zanit Convento San Martin for 3 nights. The design of the hotel was nice, converted from a convent and location of hotel was great only 2 minutes walk from the beach. Check-in was good and staff were helpful with restaurant reservation. However it lacked the service and amenities of what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. Room was comfortable but didn’t have robes, slippers and no facial tissue or face towels. On the last day, the hotel maid barged in on us even though we still had the do not disturb sign up and was still 1 1/2 hour before checkout. She then argued with my husband pointing to her watch about her cleaning time. We spoke with the hotel manager who took note of our complaint.

Excellent hotel, fantastic location and room very good. The check in though took way too long with keep being asked for passports and credit card over and over again. 20 minutes is way too long. Don't know if the girl was new but she didn't seem to know what she was doing. She was very pleasant though

Beautiful hotel and close to so many things.

The property was excellently located 100 metres from the beach and a 5-7 minute walk from the old town. The first impression we received from our stay happened with our greeting at reception, the reception was warm and friendly and immediately made us feel at home. We received the same vibes from the bell boy, his English was excellent and was a very friendly staff member.

객실도 천장이 높아 개방감이 좋고 깨끗하고 직원들도 모두 너무 친절하십니다. 위치도 라콘차해변 근처고 올드타운과 걸어서 15분 거리 내여서 너무 좋습니다. 산세바스티안에 재방문할시 반드시 다시 숙박하고 싶습니다.

Rummet och läge är underbar. Tyvärr var frukost en besvikelse. Vi var tvungen att köpa frukost då vår kollege hade bokat det med hennes rum. Att ta 25euro är skamligt. Det var dålig med frukt utbud och en kaffemaskin hade ingen mjölk. Man förväntar sig mer för det priset.

Hotel is well managed and organized. On one sheet of paper we got the WiFi name password, gym floor, restaurant info, pool floor etc…Everything you might want to know when you check in. Service is top shelf. The restaurant was Michelin rated.

Limited breakfast

Having stayed here before I had high expectations but felt this stay I was a little underwhelmed given the price point. The rooms are very well appointed and the overall standard of the hotel is good. However, as one of the more expensive hotels it lacked the wow factor this time. We had breakfast one morning and felt this was fairly average for €25. The staff were great but we did observe dirty cups / plates which was a little off putting. Overall a very nice hotel in a brilliant location but feel it didn’t quite deliver on its price point.

The hotel service was great and the hotel restaurant surpassing our expectations with delicious food and the best breakfast buffet.
