No hot water in building! They did not even tell me this until I paid my $250 security deposit of course, then literally handed me back my CC and said BTW the whole place has no hot water until Monday morning at least After fighting the smug useless clerk for my deposit back, he then would not cancel my reservation. Told me I’d have to go through Expedia of course🙄. He would not give me anything in writing stating they had no hot water Expedia was great, they tried calling to verify and of course the phone number was not connected to that address, but their “head office” likely overseas somewhere. I eventually left. Paid more than double for last minute Saturday night room elsewhere. Hotel of course tried to say they did have hot water, after some negotiations and eventually through a supervisor , Expedia finally saw what was going on here, and gave me full refund. Thank you Expedia. BTW when you pull in this hotels parking lot you will think your at U-haul as 50% of their parking lot is full of rental trucks, another side hustle there I’m guessing ?! VIP entry too, while you stand at the locked door waiting for someone to randomly walk by and let you in the building.

DO NOT BOTHER STAYING HERE!!! We checked in supposedly for 2 nights but left after the first night because there was no hot water in the hotel. We were never informed of this at check-in. There was a coffee maker in the room but they don't provide coffee. There were no towels or a shower curtain in the bathroom. There is signage up indicating and ice maker and vending machines which don't exist. The place is equipped for breakfast but it isn't a service they provide either. I requested a refund from the front desk because we had to leave but they told me that I had to contact Expedia, the company that we booked through. I contacted Expedia and was told that the hotel has to authorize the refund. I have left messages for the manager but have never received a response. It all sounds like a scam to me because the reviews I read before I booked were all very positive but now that I have stayed there it seems like the reviews are all negative. There are reviews from 3 weeks ago that say there was no hot water, yet the new hot water tank is sitting in the stairwell for who knows how long. Don't waste your money staying here. The place should be shut down!!

I stayed at this hotel on Labour day weekend and the room was filthy, stains on the walls, dirt on the window ledge. There was garbage on the floors of the hallways. There was no hot water any time of the day, i had to shower at my daughters apartment instead. There was no keycards or keys to access your room. Everytime someone had to walk me to the door and unlock it which was very inconvenient since i brought a dog and he had to be walked regularly. Also the front entrance was locked, so if no one was at the front counter to buzz you in, you had to call someones cellphone, which wasnt answered until the second call I was very disappointed overall. I did take a ton of photos but dont see anywhere to upload them

Pour obtenir de nouvelle serviettes il fallais chialer, nous somme 4 et on avais le droit a une seulement par jour... vraiment pas recommender comme endroit.! There is no hot water in the hotel at all.

No key for your room is availble so you need to ask the front Desk to open the door for you every time you want to go in and out. The main Hotel door was closed, no body was at the front Desk so you need to call a phone number that is at the door and wait outside for someone to let you come in.

Our room was not anything like the picture shown. It was very dirty, and the bedsheets had stains on them, including cigarette burns, the bathroom was in shambles. The toilet seat was broken, the shower curtain was full of mold, the walls were chipping away, and there was no hot water no Wi-Fi either and not enough towels very disappointed. Not wheelchair accessible, or people with limited mobility would be very challenging due to multiple sets of stairs and no elevator.

For a budget place it was decent but I can't give more stars, as there was no hot water 6 PM.

Dirty towels, exploding hair dryers, and rooms that smelled like cigarette smoke. For the money I did not expect much but this was definitely a huge disappointment. Also there was very little hot water in the shower and two days in a row I had a lukewarm to cold shower at best. The hair dryer on the wall literally blew up in my hair Sparks were flying and it melted. I had asked for a new hair dryer and for the next two days they simply escorted me to an empty room where I could dry my hair. Because I was on set acting the commercial it was important that I blow dried my hair lol. When I opened up the towels after having my first shower one was clearly covered in stains that had not been washed out and one of them had a questionable brown spot on it that I would not want to imagine the source of. There was Wi-Fi advertised on the site but there is no Wi-fi here so don't expect any. The only upside to this place would be that the location is close to downtown restaurants and bars but that is it and I could not give the hotel credit for its location after all. I have never left a review like this for a hotel but I was quite insulted that when they finally brought a hair dryer to my room on my last day that they said oh well you should leave us a good review then. So if that's what takes to designate something as good service I am seriously confused.

I do not know where the pictures on this ad came from, but let me tell you it was not the place we stayed! This place was dingy. The room was DIRTY - there is no way the bathroom had been cleaned in some time - spray along the mirror from toothpaste and I do not know. The toilet had dried urine running down the front of the bowl. The shower was super grungy. There was no bulbs in some of the lights and we asked at the front as we left for the night - even offered to replace the bulbs ourselves when we got back if they just got out bulbs for us, but nothing. The air conditioning was on full blast and unable to be stopped on a night that was -10, so we were freezing - we did ask at the front too, but no one even helped they just said the remote was the one that "should" work. The bed was like an upside-down pyramid - the frame was smaller than the box spring, which was smaller than the mattress. We certainly had some laughs about the place, but if you actually care about where you are staying, DO NOT book here!

The bathroom was full of mold. The tap had black mold coming out. The bed sheets were stained and burned with cigarette holes. We had to Clorox wipe the lamps, the sink, the counters. When we asked for towels and for clean sheets, the front desk said the people who clean were old like my mother. It was a terrible experience.

The worst most dirty hotel I’ve ever put my foot in. Beyond dated beyond un clean beyond almost everything broken in the room! Blood on switch plates, caved in beds! Horror show!

Our room was absolutely horrendous. There was feces left all over the toilet (NOT OURS!), Hair all over the bathroom and shower wall and bath tub, blood in the sink, hair from previous customers in BOTH beds (hair was black we are redheads) The room advertised had a jacuzzi tub, we were provided a regular tub with a shower that barely worked. Parking lot was filled with U-Haul trucks because they also rent out Uhauls therefore there was absolutely no parking left for customers, there was drug addicts hanging outside of the hotel, garbage bins were spewing of garbage. We requested that the staff clean our rooms, we gave them the entire day, came back to NOTHING cleaned, we requested again for staff to clean our rooms and was told no. Tried to get refund with refusal, so we stayed as we had no where else to go. We will NEVER rent here again.

The room was filthy, the air exchanger was black with dirt, walls had splash marks of liquids, gum on the door frame, furniture was scratched, lamps had water mark stains, the room stunk of smoke, black mold in shower, water faucet came off in my hand when attempting to shower. Room for 2 had 1 role toilette paper and only one towel. Front desk staff not available at front desk and would not answer phone # posted fir service

I couldn’t stay, and I am waiting for a refund! This place shouldn’t even be on Expedia, honestly. It’s a very bad quality motel! The hallway smells like weed, very strong! Very dirty and gross, garbage on the floor in the hallways, also bottle of alcohol. And when we finally got inside the room, it wasn’t properly cleaned, the washroom smelled like pee, and the toilet wasn’t clean. Also the bathtub was dirty, even the pillow case had a stain, that honestly looked like blood. A lot of things broken, even the drywall. I took pictures of everything! I don’t recommend anyone to stay there!

Bed linen was dirty and requested a replacement. Looked like it was not replaced after last use as there was hair and sock lint on the fitted sheet. No hand wash towel or drying towel. One shower towel for two people, but they supplied later. Complained of loose toilet seat and five hours later after a close mishap, had to complain again and finally it was fixed. Hallway and stairway carpeting very dirty. Bathtub had chips on bottom. I wouldn’t recommend this place even at half the price.

I do not recommend to go there. And in the bed you smell pee. no television, no remote no air condition and no hot water. Towel it’s dirty somebody clean his ass with towel

The sheets were full of holes and stains, absolutely disgusting. It didnt matter in the end, we ended up sleeping without them because we couldnt control the ac or open the window (bolted shut). The room was awfully hot is what I'm trying to say.

Hallways and rooms were not well maintained. some lights worked, light shades were broken, toilet seat wasn't fastened properly, front lobby door was broken, only 1 employee on staff and was away from the desk at times and we were actually locked out of the lobby and entry into the hotel.

The check in was fine. It is not a good neighbourhood but the pictures looked ok. The room they put me in did not have a working keycard lock - you didn't need a key to enter at all! The bar lock on the inside had also been partially removed. When I went to the desk to explain this as a problem, I was told by Sam that "no one will go in your room if you are in there". I should never have had to explain why I was uncomfortable with this! I had to request another room, and was told only if I hadn't slept in the bed yet. Again, safety is your first priority, people! It doesn't matter if I slept in the bed (I hadn't) if the door won't lock! The second room had no working AC during a heat wave, had no soaps and had no towels in the room. I settled as it had a working lock. Both rooms had peeling paint, hair on the floor and shower walls, dirt on the floors, and I was very uncomfortable. This is absolutely false advertising and I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone. Expedia should not be allowing them to use their services, this should absolutely not be acceptable. The hotel refused a refund, so they obviously do not care about their guests.

The front desk attendant kept leaving the front desk so kept getting locked out of the hotel when we came to check in and when we left and came back. Bed was very comfortably. Was never told my deposit was not gonna be returned in the morning if they put it on a visa/mastercrd. Also AC did not work and the towels stunk

The sheets were a little dirty; no towels in the room (had to ask); the floors were dirty and made my socks/feet dirty, the door was unlocked when I first got in, and the towels later given to us later had stains on them.

Terrible hotel. First room the door would not lock. Second room has no towels, nothing, no bath mat, face towel. AC barely worked. Tv did not work. I was offered a firestick but the wifi was not working. And absolutely no hot water in the morning

Not having a TV sucks

Literally everything was dilapidated almost to a comical degree. Toilets didn't flush, phones didn't work, wardrobes stank. The worst part was instead of a key card they gave you a 10 digit code to enter on the keypad of the door which was super unresponsive and just didn't work at all.

Limited parking as uhaul trucks take up to many spots. Room was very basic no chairs, microwave and mini fridge did work. Had to ask front desk for a remote for the tv as the one in the room didn't work. Like the laminate flooring over carpet. Keyless entry into room via a key pad. Very very basic over all. Id stay there again but not a place to take wife or family

Staff is great

Not friendly stuff, if the two guys there is the only stuff. Old, smelly place. I doubt the sheets and the only towel were washed and clean. I called for help turning on the tv and I had to wait over an hour even though I was told one of them is coming up and they were just chatting outside it’s not that they were busy.. after I waited over 30 min i had to go to the lobby and ask again. I also asked for extra towel, he brought an old and not clean looking towel. There wasn’t any hot water, I had to shower with cold water. I called and told them, he said “ oh let me check “ and never heard back… In the morning there wasn’t anyone on the front desk, tried to call twice, no one answered my calls or calls me back… i left the card from the room in the room like they told me to do but they assured me that someone will be at the desk at 6am. I had a very busy weekend and booked the place to accommodate me with work and I needed to get good rest for the night but I was extremely unhappy with the whole experience with this place. No wonder why they don’t do refund.

When i arrived to this hotel the door was locked and i was unable to enter. When i called the number left on the door i got not answer but was eventually let in. When I checked in i was informed that the key machine was broken and i would not receive a key to my room and instead would have to be brought to my room by a desk attendant each time i wanted to enter however when i arrived there was no desk attendant present. The property felt very unsafe and I ended up leaving to stay elsewhere.

I had to phone the front desk every time I wanted to enter the building as the main door was kept locked at all times. 4 out of 5 times, no one answered the phone and I had to wait until someone appeared in the lobby to gain access. The 5th time, the desk clerk was at his station talking on his cell phone and ignored me. All he had to do was reach down and push a button to let me in, but he made me wait. The room was neat and clean enough, but without any towels until I asked for the 3rd time for them. The first time I asked he brought me 2 facecloths only. The next time, he was "busy" outside, talking on his cell, speaking in his own language, leaf blowing the 4 leaves that were in the parking lot and told me he would get to it. The last time I asked (3 hours later) he brought me 3 bath towels so thin you could see thru them. I asked if there was breakfast and for coffee for the coffee maker in our room and was told the city inspector shut down their breakfast and coffee machines, (Health Inspector I wonder?) so he could not give me any coffee. The fridge in the room had so much ice inside that the door did not close properly. I mentioned it at check out and even showed the clerk a photo of it. He said he would try to figure out how to get the ice out. Never again will we stay there.

Our second time and we’ll keep coming back. Close to downtown with friendly staff. The room and location suited our needs.

Worst place to book. Staff lacks professionalism, dirty lobby. Called 5 times before checking in to have information about my reservation, no one answered. When I got there a customer was talking to the receptionist, he had to sleep in his car because no one was at the front desk to let him in to his room when he got back from dinner. Other customers waiting to check in had similar experiences. I cancelled the reservation and had to find somewhere else to stay.

EXPEDIA: I don't know what is outside your review guidelines(?...). I haven't mentioned specific rates, profanity or personal information. Please let me know what to change, and I will gladly do so. Thanks I booked and paid for the room in July. One week before my stay, the hotel cancelled my booking, saying "your room" is under renovation. They said I must tell Expedia it's cancelled, they didn't. Then a few days later, there are several rooms available again at double the price. I asked them to honor my original booking, they would not. During the stay, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain, we could see there was broken drug paraphernalia in the drain. Asked front desk to fix, they could only get half out, then left some broken glass on the counter. UNTRUSTWORTHY, for cancelling my booking, 4 months after it was booked, then relist it shortly after for double $$. No apologies to us for a terrible experience.

The attendant spent the entire time on the phone, kept my license for the duration of my stay, had unexpected fees at check in, said they would accept cash but didnt have change, hotel manager came to my room at 11:30pm to give me change, when i got my change it wasnt exact and they kept the difference, the ac unit had a drip, disgusting room, moldy bathroom, broken shower and to top ot off there were people running through the halls all night

Checking in went fine although front desk person seemed mildly annoyed by me asking questions about the hotel and was also on the phone while checking me in. Room was dirty; stained sheets and pillows, bathroom tub had 2 large rusty dents in it, dried toothpaste splatter across the bathroom mirror, someone’s hair left on the shower curtain… overall not pleasant. Showered anyway and the handle for the shower faucet fell off. No hot water. No front desk person at all when checking out in the morning and after stepping out for a smoke to wait for said desk person, I was locked out of the building with no way of getting back in (thankfully had all of my things or would’ve been completely screwed and late for work.) Called the number on front door that is posted in the event that the desk person is missing around 20 times over the span of 30 minutes and got voicemail every single time. Went to work unsure if I would get my deposit back. They texted 2 hours later telling me I could come back at anytime to get it. Drove back after work and got deposit back and once again desk person seemed annoyed/ generally unfriendly. Overall unpleasant stay, certainly not worth the price. Would not recommend, will not be returning.

Lobby staff were always gone somewhere both days and unclean showers. The surrounding area outside also felt unsafe.

I rented the room my aunt and the motel and service itself was fantastic. The room was clean, the attendants were helpful and kind, my aunt forgot her bank card after checking out, they called me 30 minutes afterwards to let me know she left it there It's convenient, close to amenities, shopping and the business area downtown. Transportation if needed is close by Now the issue is with the homeless and drug addicts in the parking lot around the garbage bin and the church beside it is a hang out. No one bothered her or myself when I visited her, but the potential of it is possible. If renting just be aware of your surroundings Checking in and out was quick and easy

Free and convenient parking in this hotel that is good. The towels and bed sheets in the hotel need to be improved. I was told refund of the security deposit is 5 business days or 7 calendar days while other hotels discharged my security deposit immediately after we check out. My security deposit was discharged by the hotel. The hotel is located in the downtown area of the the city, seems there are some homeless people around. Overall I like this hotel because it is within my budget for the travel. I will come back to this hotel in the future if I come to Hamilton again. Good luck to this hotel, please keep improving. There was no hot water which they could have let us know at check in. couldnt get into building without front desk staff who werent there all the time. Not a very safe neighbour hood couldnt leave at night to walk around.

A great affordable convenient stay downtown. Close to shopping and the downtown region. The price range is really affordable and the room was your average room, nothing over the top and nothing to complain about. Staff were friendly.

This hotel is a steal downtown. It's not fancy but everything is clean and up-to-date. The staff is very friendly and it's close to everything downtown.

Front desk talking on blue tooth while checking me in. At times, was unsure if he was talking to me or not. As there is no restaurant, went out for takeout around 530p, came back around 30 mins later to being locked out of the building. After 10 or so minutes, the desk attendant came thru the lobby and let me in. There was no explanation or apology Room VERY uninviting and echoey. Desk but no chair. Coffee maker, but no coffee. 1 brown towel. No handtowel or washcloth. No garbage can in the bathroom. Unsure of cleanliness of room as there was garbage from the last guest on the side table.

$15 dollars to check in early didnt impress.. No glass or cup in room.Coffee machine in room but no pods.

The only thing they didn’t have to offer was the breakfast as the area was closed (not too sure as to why). Although Tim Hortons was within walking distance.

Staff was fine checked in early and told a room was not available but we could have a room which the TV didn’t work, we agreed but there would be a charge of $30 plus tax for early checkin. No towels, needed light bulbs in all the lamps, the room smelled funny, coffee maker but don’t provide coffee, maybe next week. But the beds were ok

Everything is good. We git coffee machine but not coffee packets in the room. Frontdesk guy was very helpful.

No hot water. So we were unable to have showers. The Tv did not work (no cable). Coffee machine but no coffee pods present and when my husband went to ask for some at the front desk, they said they weren’t allowed to provide food or drink on premise. Only two bath towels in the room. No wash clothes or hand towels provided. When asked for more towels, the front desk said they would bring it up and never did. No fitted sheets on bed and they were stained. Needless to say, we will not be back.
