Decent hotel near Texas Tech. Very limited parking.

It was overall great. Loved the pool area

overall the hotel was nice, comfortable, easy access, and nice finishes. The gym was very hot and very small. No more than 2 people could comfortably fit in the weights area and that's assuming they are friends. It was probably 85 degrees or warmer in there, so using cardio equipment wasn't possible.

Parking doesn't feel safe. Not in the nicest area, but hotel is nice. Nice restaurant. Tv didn't work upon check in, but they moved me to a different room

Wished the restorant would have been open Sunday night.

The property is well maintained and looks nice! We had a small issue and it was corrected in a timely manner. The is no shuttle to anywhere… not even the airport.

Pool was broken. Restaurant and bar were closed. Police monitoring station in the parking lot. One person on staff for the entire hotel.

The cold water in the bathroom sink was trickling and no force at all. Ofc after hours the parking was full and had to find difficult parking must've been busy weekend don't know.... Saturday morning only 1 of the elevators stopped working ofc it was harder for the elderly since they can't do the stairs..

We enjoyed the bar in the evening and all the Texas Tech parents there for drop off this weekend.

EVERYONE is so kind and friendly. Cleanliness was also top tier. We had a great experience!

The stay was good. The room was very nice but there was no hand soap and when we asked for some soap we were informed the hotel was out of hand soap. There was no effort to try and locate some from any of the vacated rooms. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay there.

On this particular weekend, I booked three separate rooms. One room had two queen double beds, one room had a king bed, and one room was a king bed suite. The room with the two queens, the coffee maker did not work, and the room was absolutely filthy upon entering. The furniture and bedding was heavily stained, and there were toenail clippings all over my floor. It looks like someone hadn’t vacuumed that room in years. The King suite was just as bad. The microwave worked, but the glass plate that goes inside was not in there, leaving no way to use the microwave. And the room itself was filthy. Stains all over the furniture and honestly look like someone didn’t clean that room either, in quite some time. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs however, the layout of the hotel leaves it very easy to stay disrupted until that bar closes. The bar is located in the middle and the rooms are all around it. You can hear the band, you can hear the bar, and everything no matter what room you’re in. As I said, we had three different rooms and they were all in three different areas and all of us were able to hear it.

Clean room and facility. Family friendly. Didn’t get to try but the restaurant looked hoppin’.

When we first got there they lost our reservation, when we got to the room things seemed okay later the first night as I was about to go to bed I see a throw up stain not cleaned at all , I then start to notice how the rest of the room is dirty with dust on just about everything , I didn’t even shower because I was so thrown off , THEN THE SECOND NIGHT HAPPENED AND THIS IS WHEN WE KNEW WE WERENT STAYING ( BED BUGS ) they have bed bugs … I booked this place because it was expensive and seemed nice .. looks are deceiving

Two main concerns. First, the front desk clerk made me extremely uncomfortable. He checked me into the room and offered me some “diabetes cookies”, referring to the signature Doubletree welcome cookies. He then proceeded to discus his and his family’s medical history and then inquired if I had diabetes This was inappropriate and made me feel uncomfortable and judged. Second, the bathroom in our room has an obvious plumbing issue. The smell of raw sewage coming from either the bathtub or toilet was overpowering. I was informed the hotel was completely full, so unfortunately there was no solution. Overall I’ve always had a high opinion of the Doubletree brand but this experience was far below the standard I have come to expect.

The room was very clean, the staff was very friendly and very polite. Overall I enjoyed the stay and will definitely be back again.

Beautiful hotel and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Only thing that wasn’t great was our bathroom was dirty. Sink and counter were covered in hair when we checked into the room. Not a huge deal but makes it questionable if they cleaned after the last person checked out.

Bathroom was filthy Under counter had old food, misc garbage; tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned.

The bathroom floors in the corners were funky. You could hear every door open and close in the adjoining room. Some sort of texture could be felt on the bathroom sink counter. Wasn't clean.

Could not get hot water for a shower or at the sink. Temperature was tepid and talking to the staff did nothing. This on two separate stays I two different rooms. The restaurant was excellent.

Front desk was very nice, welcoming and attentive. Properly was very beautiful. Only downside is the AC units in the room, they took a long time to cool the area.

The bottom floor is very loud.

Was there last week with family for kids sports event. Glad we chose this hotel compared to the neighbor hotel. Room is so spacious, modern and clean. Kids and wife loved it! Highly recommended!

Staff was very nice. Didn’t sleep at all due to a party going on down stairs that echoed right in our room. Lasted until 12:00am.

There was alot of screaming at the bar until about 2am. Was not happy about that. But the plave was clean and pretty. But will not stay again.

Water pressure in shower was terrible (Front desk staff reported that all the rooms on the 1st floor had low water pressure). Room temperature was uncomfortable even when thermostat was turned down.

The staff was really nice. The room cleaning could use some work though. Windows an walls were super thin, you can hear people outside and what’s going on in the rooms next to you or people down the halls. This property is near Walmart and restaurants so it is in a great location.

From the outside, you’d think the property would be a certain way but it’s great! Looks recently remodeled/upgraded. Desk staff was stellar, any DT staff person that walked by greeted me. The room was very nice. It’s modern, clean, spacious. If I’m ever in Lubbock again, I will stay here.

I had called saying I would be there late to check in they said no problem. I waited in a locked lobby for 15 min calling the front desk over and over and over for there to be no one there.

Awful we drove in for 5 hours to arrive to the hotel to find they did not have our room since they overbooked Sent us to a hotel on the other side of town. So we are no where near the event we came to see in the morning

I would never recommend this Hotel to anyone! The amount of disrespect/unprofessional treatment we received by a Gentlemen at the front desk is beyond our disbelief. We will be contacting corporate offices at Doubletree/Hilton as well.

Excellent service and help on finding a certain venue from the front desk staff.

Everything has been excellent except for the check in. We arrived at 3:30 but our room was not available till 5:15! We got a room went up to the 3rd floor only to find out the room was still being occupied by someone! We opened the door and were greeted by an individual.

D was so kind upon check-in and very helpful letting us know about the amenities. When we were eating dinner he sought us out and brought our boys fresh baked cookies. We’ve stayed at this property many times before, but D went above and beyond!!

We had prepaid $300 for a hotel room, sent a note that we were arriving late yet when we arrived, the hotel had given our room out. Never again staying at a Doubletree. Worst service ever. Receptionist offered us to pay an additional $199 for either a dirty but unoccupied room or a room with maintenance issues. We declined and went to a holiday inn.

Loved this hotel! Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and fresh! Will definitely be back!

When we arrived, the front desk was empty. Another guest said it had been so for an hour. We left for a local bar. Upon returning, it took over an hour to check in. The first room assigned was already occupied. The second was on an upper floor next to the elevator after we requested a quiet room.

Within walking distance to see a concert at Buddy Holly Hall. Room was spacious & beds were comfortable.

Close to a lot of amenities, especially Walmart and restaurants. Comfy rooms and bed. Had to wait a bit to check in but front desk staff very apologetic.

The location of the hotel is excellent for shows at the Buddy Holly Theater. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The CSR who checked us in was an amazingly friendly person and asset to the team. The food at the restaurant was also phenomenal.

Lots of construction going on here. Otherwise very nice.

The employees were awesome and the hotel was in great shape and clean. The location was in a bad part of town with a lot of homeless and not the kind that are down on their luck. These people were high as a sky and aggressive. They were roaming the parking lot as well as the area.

Always love the double tree. The area around it is questionable and lits of trash outside, however it is nice inside and great service

In a bad area

I’ll start with the good parts, all the staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon checking in, I was told that the restaurant would be open until 10 and the bar until midnight. We were in town for cheer competition that ended around 8 that evening. It was also my birthday, so a few other cheer parents and myself decided to head down to the restaurant for a few celebratory drinks and maybe a little food. It was about 9 when we headed down and were met with the restaurant hostess telling us that the kitchen was closed because, and I quote, “there was no one here.” I looked around and all but two tables were full of patrons. No big deal, most of us had eaten earlier in the day, so we asked if we could sit and have drinks from the bar. No problem as it would be open until midnight. The place started clearing out a bit and my friends and I ordered drinks and grabbed a table. The bartender was extremely nice and very attentive, but informed us at about 10:30 that the bar would be closing at 10:45!? We let him know what we were told by both the front desk when checking in and the hostess as well, who had already left by this time. He was very apologetic and did allow us to sit until about 11:30 while he tidied up. We did tip him very generously.

Fantastic breakfast was great! Pancakes!

Overall great hotel with a fabulous restaurant onsite. Claraboya is one of the best restaurants in Lubbock. Really nice and professional staff. Thank you!

We came in around 7pm...was snowing lightly. We waited at the check-in counter for the agent to give us our keys. The cookies were forgotten...so we asked for them the next morning on our way out. Our room was nice and tighty and efficient. Dinner in the bar was quite good :)

The restaurant menu is top top notch rivaling most restaurants on the area. Very fancy menu.
