Great mid-range hotel concept by Hilton, very thoughtfully executed, with nice attention to detail: all very new and modern with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, extra large flatscreens, lights on dimmers (and well thought-out lighting scheme), clean and modern bathroom. They did not skimp on materials and design. Good climate control in the room and automated blinds and blackout panels. Snacks available 24/7 in the lobby (not a huge perk as selection rather limited). Lavazza coffee was mediocre, unfortunately and undrinkable ) but everything else was fantastic and it felt like some new, quirky, more friendly version of a Hilton with front desk person (Sebastian) who was sort of the captain of the ship, greeting everyone, and finally ssying "call me if you need anything." In fact it was possible to text as well. Salt water pool (indoor) as well, that looked inviting although we didn't try it. Highly recommend and will stay again if in the srea.

Great newer ( 5 years) hotel. Everything was nice and easy. Parking super easy and free. Loved the free billiards table in the lobby. That was a nice extra most places don’t offer. And even though we didn’t use it, the pool was open til midnight which is another nice perk.

The area surrounding the hotel is not well lit, the driveway entrance was hard to see. Staff was pleasant but not overly welcoming at check in, check in easy. Mattress needs replacement, very saggy. Mold in shower.

This hotel was nice when it opened, but now the bedding is getting thin. I’m pretty sure I smelled aftershave on my blanket, so they’re not changing the bedding between stays, which is just gross. I don’t know if I’ll be staying here again.

I can excuse a lot of things but bugs aren’t one of them. Roaches. I have pictures and no manager on duty who could do anything. So gross. For $700 for 2 nights that should never happen.

They didn’t have hot chocolate out, had to ask for it. Variety of breakfast was not great. The room above us was so loud, sounded like they were coming through the ceiling. Stomping around at 12:30 am, this went on for quite sometime.

Every time the fan kicked on it would make a loud clicking sound, 14 times, every time. I could not turn it off and it kept me up all night. Thankfully they let me switch rooms for the next night and that room was nice and quiet. Very clean. Breakfast was good and the staff was very polite.

Rooms are clean and lobby is pretty nice, but rooms are very small and there is no storage in the rooms at all - no closet, no drawers, just hooks on a wall. Trendiness was prioritized over function. Also the property oddly has a Christiansburg address but is located in Radford. If you are trying to be in Christiansburg, make sure you are picking the right Tru location.

The toilet kept running in our room so we turned off the water supply to the toilet. The maintenance man wasn’t there so nothing could be done about it. The air conditioning was very loud, we kept the room warmer so we didn’t have to hear it. The front desk was made aware and offered us another room but we were unpacked and it was late so we stayed.

The hotel is pretty basic. I guess that is on me for not researching further. The room is small, no coffee maker, microwave or ice bucket. No way to adjust fridge temp.The door to the stairs slammed loudly all night. The TV options are very minimal. The desk staff was very helpful and quick, and the room and lobby were clean.

I would have given all 5’s but upon arrival the person that checked me in really didn’t interact. She asked my name, gave me the key card and that was it. Information like how to find my room, was there coffee available in the morning etc. I had to ask. Maybe I expect to much: I have not ever had to ask those questions when staying in a hotel, they are always communicated when checking in.

We stayed two nights to visit family and college tours. We were greeted by friendly staff at the front desk. Our room was perfect and so comfy. Breakfast in the morning was the right combination and the staff again so helpful. We left items in our room. We didn’t realize they were missing til we got home and they will be shipped to us Monday morning. All we had to do was send a shipping label to them. After a long week and trip this room was our favorite and will 100% be staying next time we visit family.

This was my first time staying at a Tru by Hilton. The room was a bit more cramped than I expected but there wre a few nice amenities in the lobby. Breakfast had fewer items than similar places that I have stayed that are comparable in price. The hotel was fine and was what we needed for a one night stay. Not much to do around the hotel itself but town was not too far away. Overall, a good place to stay while you are on the road.

Parking was good. Location was close to the hospital which is what we were looking for. Breakfast was ok but not a lot of choices for someone with a gluten allergy. I was able to eat a boiled egg and yogurt.

Very nice and clean hotel! Staff was very friendly! Our king size bed was very comfortable! The only complaint was the breakfast bar! Pancake machine was out of order and there was very little food , ie, gravy and scrambled eggs and noone came out to replenish them the whole time we were there eating! This was about 7-7:15 am.
