We were quite pleased with our stay at Ojala in Antiqua. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast gave us a choice of items and the scrambled egg option was good.

Plush towels (quite a rarity in Guatemala), professional and helpful staff, beautiful setting and great location and view of volcanoes. Coffee included in breakfast is on the light side, but there is a cafe at the property that makes stronger and better coffee.

Ojala is a HOSTEL and not a hotel. But they have a couple of private rooms. The staff is the worst we encountered in Guatemala: non helpfull, wouldnt even stand up to look you in the face. Might be ok, but not for the hotel experience you pay for. Rooms "face" the inner space of the hostel, where breakfast is served, so there is noise from early in the morning till late at night (10pm).

Room was hot, one tiny window opened on the wall of windows. If you have to take your clothes off, you have to draw the heavy curtain over the window which is suffocating. If you want the window open for air, anyone outside the room can see you in bed. They should either put in a heat pump or find some other way to cool or put fresh air in the room without affecting privacy. I ended up forfeiting my $ there and went to get a room in another hotel. The hotel overall was beautiful and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Such a shame the room was a nearly airtight or exposed box.

There was a wonderful view of the nearby mountain. The city is easy to access. There is a pretty terrace and seating area. The attached coffee shop was a nice touch. The place does play music until about 10pm so plan accordingly. The garden in the court is beautiful. The bed was comfy. Walkable neighborhood.
