The location was great, but there was no safe parking. The host was not easily reachable to enter in the apartment because getting keys etc was quite complicated process

We could watch the lock operating from our window. Very central. Room was large. Downside was quite late check-in - 4:30pm was what was on the email, though we got in just before 4pm. Parking is difficult - we found free space further down the street the accommodation was in, but you can't park outside, and if there is nothing close you have to pay in the big carpark and then trundle your luggage through town (not so great in the rain).

A fantastic place to stay if you are walking or cycling the GGW. The room was very comfortable, nicely decorated with stunning views over the River Oich. Dedicated space for boots and wet clothing, drying rail in the bathroom for wet gear and plenty of tea and coffee! There is also a secure bike store (outside, but upstairs on the roof space)

Our room Loch Oich overlooked the swing bridge and 1st loch. Ideal for Loch watching. Beds comfy, ideally would have liked the extra put up bed taken down and replaced with a chair but understand that is probably a bit awkward especially as we were a short stay. Bathroom great, modern. Ample tea, coffee sachets, milk, sugar etc. Fridge. Nice decor. Everything worked. If we were staying in the area would stay here again. If cycling there is secure bike storage up the stairs, in an outside patio area.

We loved our stay with our 2 children and dog. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were loads of options for where to eat in walking distance. We parked less than 5 min walk away as there is no specific carpark. The flat we stayed in was super quiet and clean. We had tea/coffee left in the room. Our dog also enjoyed his stay we didnt require the dog bed available as he tends to shred them but it was a nice option to have.

Parkings a bit of a faff. This is due to it being right outside a non parking road. However you can park at the otherside of the canal if you head further up and round the bend opposite the bank building. Other than that defo accommodating and would stay again.

Fabulous boutique hotel that is self served. You were located right in downtown and you can’t get any closer to the lock and dams or any of the sites. I would highly recommend this hotel. Extremely clean and nicely done.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The beds were incredibly comfortable — I haven’t slept that well in a long time. The self check-in process was really well organized, easy, and convenient. We stayed one night at Lock Chambers on our way to Inverness. The room was very clean and tidy and check in was straight forward using the code and lockbox. We were able to leave our suitcases in the cafe next door before the check in time which was handy. The room was a little stuffy but there was a fan which helped a bit.

I have been traveling for many years, and I don't think I've ever been as comfortable in a hotel room before. Everything was clean, comfortable, quiet and I felt very safe. Traveling with my family is not easy in Scotland, this was fantastic. We had a full bed and two twin bunks. No cots or rollouts. Local meals were amazing. And the canal was super cool. Highly recommended.

It's the center of this small town, great location. Newly remodeled, fabulous large tub that fills in seconds. Could use a new mattress and I was glad I used a sound machine app...when I turned it off in the morning I could hear neighbors talking through the wall quite easily. I enjoyed my stay!

A beautiful room with a comfy bed, lovely bath and terrace. Due to hot weather the room was a little warm and although there is a floor standing fan provided, the height of it, it didn't really cool you in bed. The blind would have been good at blocking out the light, but because of how it was installed there was around 1cm of window that wasn't covered which meant the room got light very early in the morning. The terrace is a lovely idea, but there is also a terrace right next too it and with no privacy screen it was a little awkward sitting out there having a conversation or reading a book when those in the other room also were on their terrace.

Loved this little gem and will definitely return. Great view looking over the bridge and beautiful river (Neptune room). Big comfy bed, huge bathtub and nicely decorated. Tea/Coffee bar provided with lovely biscuits.

We loved this room and location! Such a comfortable room, so cute & the location is amazing for looking out at the canal. We loved Fort Augustus and if we ever come back to Scotland, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Unfortunately because all the emails did not come through in the order they instructed, and not having a phone allowing me to dial the “emergency” number on the door, we were unable to enter our room and had to find accommodations elsewhere. Since we’ve been traveling for a month, I was unable to print off emails to keep in my folder of reservations and found the email with the room code dated two weeks earlier instead of two days after the email telling me to expect in two days. Shame because area was gorgeous with all kinds of places to eat.

It was a great centralized location for the areas in the Highlands we wanted to visit so we could have a hime base for a few days. The check-in instructions were emailed to us plenty of time in advance giving clear and concise information. The cleaning staff were extremely accommodating, going above and beyond to meet our needs.

Comfort and friendliness in Loch Ness territory. Although check in is not until 4:30 pm, the staff person/manager was very helpful. He showed me to the room and carried some of our gear which had arrived by courier vanservice. I still need The restaurant downstairs was open for the first time the best evening of our stay.Thefood was quite good and the service very good.

Great location overlooking the bottom of the canal locks. Rooms okay and well equipped, including a small fridge. Check in not great. Supposed to be from 4.30pm but at 5pm, door still said "no check in, still preparing rooms", where it remained for several more hours. Eventually we ignored the sign, let ourselves in and all was set up - no cleaners anywhere. Disappointing start.

The Rooms werw nicely appointed and a good size. We did have an issue regarding the emergency light coming on in the middle of the night and stayed on for 3 hours. As there are no staff on site to resolve the problem we had to improvise as it could not be turned off remotely. The employee we contacted was as helpful as she could be from a distance and we were given a bottle of Prosecco as an apology. Though we were told its not the 1st time that this has happened in one of the rooms so may need to have a plan in place should it happen again. Once again the member of staff was lovely and did what they could so no complaint regarding her service at all. More to do with their proceedures especially as not staff local to resolve any issues immediately. It would not stop me staying again if we were planning to visit the area again.

Self check in was convenient, make sure you have your code ready. I had asked for two beds (for my 6ft teen and I) but it was set up as one bed. It was only by chance that I saw one staff on her way home. She did not look pleased but still, moved the two singles apart and got the proper bedding. Otherwise, clean and convenient. You need to park in a lane, close enough at a couple minutes walk, but you'll want to drop your bags first.

Beautiful little hotel right on the Locks. If you are a people watcher this hotel is for you. It is so fun watching the boats go up and down the five locks into or out of Loch Ness. Everything is walkable.

Stayed for one night following completion of the NC500. Good to see Loch Ness although we missed Nessie on this occasion! Very easy check in and great facilities right in the centre of town. A few places to grab food nearby. We had a Chinese takeaway.

Comfort and friendliness in Loch Ness territory. Although check in is not until 4:30 pm, the staff person/manager was very helpful. He showed me to the room and carried some of our gear which had arrived by courier vanservice. I still need The restaurant downstairs was open for the first time the best evening of our stay.Thefood was quite good and the service very good.

We loved our stay with our 2 children and dog. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were loads of options for where to eat in walking distance. We parked less than 5 min walk away as there is no specific carpark. The flat we stayed in was super quiet and clean. We had tea/coffee left in the room. Our dog also enjoyed his stay we didnt require the dog bed available as he tends to shred them but it was a nice option to have.

Loved this place. The accommodation was stylish and spotless. Good for those walking/cycling the canal route. Fort Augustus has good food and drink options too. I recommend the pizzas from nearby Beaufort House. Enjoyed watching the canal locks being opened for boats passing through and the swing bridge being opened too.

We stayed one night here, passing through to Inverness and then to Skye. The stay was comfortable and clean and very interesting as we got to watch a boat go through the locks. we had a room of 4 bunks, which was perfectly fine. The breakfast at the canal center was good and the area surrounding the town was lovely to explore.

Beautiful room! We stayed in the Loch Ness room which had a private balcony overlooking the village. Huge windows in the room as well. The chap who came to bring us more towels was kind and friendly. (It was his first day.) We stayed here after arriving in Inverness en route to Ft. William. The only downsides: Not a lot of places open for dinner. Had to eat twice at the Chinese restaurant. (Granted, it was delicious!). I wish there was an iron and ironing board.

I have been traveling for many years, and I don't think I've ever been as comfortable in a hotel room before. Everything was clean, comfortable, quiet and I felt very safe. Traveling with my family is not easy in Scotland, this was fantastic. We had a full bed and two twin bunks. No cots or rollouts. Local meals were amazing. And the canal was super cool. Highly recommended.

Loved this property! Check in is unique but there are very clear instructions and free parking just down the street. The restaurant is great and we sat out by the water outside. Great smoked salmon and egg breakfast. Also ate at the Old Boathouse down by the water which was great! Fort Augustus is a cute little town with little shops and restaurants. Saw the locks in action the morning that we left as well which was very cool to witness! Would stay here again for sure.

Clean, modern, and an amazing power shower. Tip.. the window does open wider and the guest information booklet explains how. Wish I had read it! I feel it's a bit expensive for what it is but overall a pleasant stay.

Great location. Very comfortable stylish rooms with everything you need. Can hear other guests but thankfully as like minded no noise after 9pm. Clear instructions and easy to enter building and room. Don’t leave review for staff as didn’t see anyone.
