We were greeted warmly by a very nice proprietor. The room smelled good as did the linens. However, there were cobwebs galore in the room. The bathtub was clean but because of constant use did not look clean. Some bathtub paint should help with that. The wifi password did not work, but the tv did. The beds were extremely hard but the linens were clean. It was very quiet at this motel and we felt safe.

The room was remodeled and looked very nice on the inside. The outside reminds me of one of the old motor inns from long ago. Very neat. It would be nice if it had some shrubs around the pool. The room was nice and cool when we checked in. Nice and clean and zero evidence of bugs. We will definitely stay there again. We traveled on to Fredericksburg, TX the next day and I wish we would have had this room there! We stayed in a newer, more expensive place there and it wasn't as nice. This is a diamond and the price made it an even better deal. The host always had a smile on his face. A very sweet man!

The staff member who checked us in was very friendly. The pool was kept nicely. It's a small motel on the highway but it's very quiet. When we checked in, we were told it's an older motel so it takes a while for the hot water to reach the room. The bath towels were thin and course. The bed was very firm and the pillows were thin. I would recommend bringing your own pillows. Our stay was nice and the location was convenient with several close by dining options.

We love this inn. Clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. They have a great pool, and large flat screen T.V.s in the rooms. Comfortable beds. Clean bathrooms. All this and very close to the lake and a boat ramp that is open to the public. I couldn't ask for a better experience. We will be back for sure!

Drive up appeal is very average but staff is very friendly, quick and accommodating. Rooms inside are surprisingly impressive with new appearing renovations, very clean and comfortable furnishings, freshly painted walls and very pleasant color schemes. Free WiFi and large flat screen TV with multichannel access were welcomed additions. Parking lot extremely well lighted and feels very safe. Highly recommended for no-frills clean comfortable affordable stay.

It was nice and quiet- the parking was a little cramped but not too bad. The rooms were clean and smelled clean, however the towels and sheets looked a little dingy (probably time to invest in some new ones ). The pipes are old. Overall I would still rent again.

We chose this place based on the good reviews….Let’s start off by the fact that the signage on the building does not match the name on Hotels.com. We weren’t sure if we were in the right place. After confirming, we checked in. The place is a bit run down. You can only drive around one side of the building, for some reason they have the other side blocked off. Outside needs some landscaping attention, lots of tall weeds growing and even a hose from a recent plumbing project. First initial impression was “this isn’t too bad” but then we realized it wasn’t very clean. Floors had been swept, but needed to be mopped, our socks were turning brown from the dirt (wiped a section with a damp washcloth to show, see pics) Shower took a long time for the water to get hot, and it would cut in and out from warm to cool. Shower curtains haven’t been washed in a while. Made the mistake of lifting the mattress when taking off the sheets when we left and found a ton of dead bugs under the bed. I’ve stayed in worse, but it’s been a long time….we won’t be back!

I came in to giant cockroach on the floor. The shower had obviously not been cleaned as there was an old soap in the soap dish and an old washrag hanging on the shower curtain. The microwave had a mess inside it that could not be easily wiped out with hot water and a rag. The fridge also had a mess inside it. The door could use a good wipe down and i wore shoes inside the whole time because of the stickiness on the floor. Very dirty.

Solid value which worked well enough as a comfortable one night stop on my road trip. Minus one star though for overall cleanliness, which I would rate as acceptable, but not great: I found small stains on every single pillow; the tub was a bit discolored and showing its age; there was a hair on the shower curtain; and while most of the bedding was clean (which, along with a place being safe and quiet, is what matters most to me), one of the sheets was just straight up dirty with big black soot-like areas/stains. I have no idea how something that large/obvious could be missed, but I just removed that sheet since the rest of the coverings were fine/good. As such I still slept just fine, which, again, is what is most important to me.

We were supposed to stay Friday and Saturday and leave Sunday, Motel was clean, staff nice but the beds were way too hard for my liking. If you like a hard bed this is the place for you. We ended up checking out Saturday night because I just couldn't sleep the night before and did not want to endure that again. It's a nice place just not for my back.

My stay at Lake LBJ Inn was excellent. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and the renovations that have been made show that they care about the quality of stay a guest has at an affordable price. The location of the property gave easy access to the surrounding area, but also allowed for a quiet evening. I highly recommend Lake LBJ Inn for any stay in Kingsland.

In spite of its location on a small highway, it was quiet. We took advantage of the great picnic table in the back. No breakfast included, but easy to get to restaurant close by. Staff made us feel like we were family. Clean, well-designed room. Nothing fancy, but very clean, and just what we needed to rest in between long days of driving the wildflower route and birding locations.

We were only there for 1 day. The checkin and checkout were friendly, smooth and efficient. The bed was comfortable, room was clean, AC worked great and we appreciated the coffee maker in the room with both regular and decaf coffee options.
