The sound from the night club on the 9th floor is very disturbing to rooms with Bosphorus view (which are the most wanted and expensive rooms). We started our stay on the 8th floor. We wanted to sleep at 11:00pm but couldn’t due to the music. I called to complain about the noise and I was surprised that Guest Relations said “yes, guests complain about it and the music will continue until 12:30am. I asked for a different room for the second night onwards on the same side. I was given a room on the second floor. The sound was still be heard but less. I believe this is hurting the hotel and needs to be addressed. Secondly, the floor in the showers is not sufficiently sloped and causes the bathroom to flood. We experienced this in three rooms. The hotel facilities and service are very good. The above two areas and the doner kebab shops in front of the hotel entrance lets it down. Hope this feedback helps.

The room was absolutely beautiful, the bed and pillows oh so dreamy comfortable and the staff everything you expect from a Sofitel. The Executive Lounge is small, but its offerings were delicious during cocktail hour. The location is great. We will return.

The room was clean and tidy and a decent space. Checked in and went to the roof top pool to relax after our flight only to be horrified by a dirty pool. Shocked to see this at the hotel. The staff were all friendly and the location is good.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend you booking the premium rooms. Whilst the view is beautiful, I wasn’t able to sleep at all. There is a nightclub on the rooftop and the music was playing until the very early hours. When speaking to reception, it seems that this is a known issue and the receptionist showed very little compassion. I question why sell these rooms at a premium price, if you can’t sleep at all.

This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at and we have stayed at 5 stars all over the world--Ritz, JW Marriott, etc. The hotel was clean. The service was amazing! The bellhop not only took our bags to our room, but showed us around, connected all of our devices to Wifi, gave us recommendations for restaurants and dishes to try-and they were amazing!, and gave us recommendations for a Turkish Bath. Anything we needed they took care of without being pushy or annoying. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to Turkey.

Beautiful Hotel, room was amazing (upgraded to a suite) with a large patio looking out on the Bosphorous, amazing bedroom with views. The staff and concierge were top notch. The breakfast had a vast selection of options to accomodate everyone. The concierge (Kaan)went above and beyond - hit 5/5 on restraunt reco.mendations and helping plan our days, offering tourist suggestions and shops to visit.

When we entered the room and saw the surprise gift hotel team had prepared, we was absolutely delighted. It was clear that this was not something put together casually, but a gift prepared with great care and thoughtfulness. On top of that, the Bosphorus view is great and stunning. Great location, lots of food options around, the room was great but the thing that didn't cut out for me as a 5-stars hotel was the front of desk. They ain't very friendly, didn't even say hello when we met a couple of them in the main lobby. For the 2 days stay, the only person who greet us were the security staff, ironically. Don't think I am asking for too much, sometime service staff are being complacent.

Would not recommend staying here. I booked a luxury room for my family with a young child. This was confirmed! Arrived late night following a long flight to be told at check in at the hotel that my booking was cancelled. The reception staff was rude making out I cancelled it- why would I cancel it myself and then turn up at midnight! I was offered a standard room for one night instead of the four nights I had originally booked! Considering the mess up no one spoke to me the following morning. Definitely not 5star service and not Sofitel standard! Lucky I didn’t stay here longer. I stayed at a much better hotel for the remaining 3 days! Would not recommend - chaotic and again ripped off over taxi arrangement to next hotel.

The hotel location is in the heart of Taksim square. Easy walking to all the shops and Mosque. The rooms are beautiful, all new and modern. I loved the rain showerhead in the bathroom. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Candan and all the guest services staff helped us plan our days for the best tours, shopping , and restaurants.

Possibly one of the best locations - the hotel is literally ON Taksim Square. 10 steps from Istiklal Street, a gazillion food & cafe options. 3 mins walk from the Metro and Tram as well. Very convenient location.

Sofitel brand lives up to it’s name. The staff and rooms were excellent. I had an issue where my cab driver left with my suitcase and the doorman told me to go check in and he would handle it, he somehow had my back in 10 minutes and I didn’t even have the cab plate number. The location is superb to walk or take metros or funiculars and there’s shops, restaurants and people around all day long. If there’s anything I wouldn’t suggest is their rooftop restaurant. It felt bland, tacky and super touristy, we expected better.

The only thing that was negative is the breakfast, they close at 11 and at 10:30 they start removing the food . At 10:30 they were out of croissants and when i asked one of the chefs , he told me it’s 10:30 and it’s finish . Everything else was good and we enjoyed the stay there

Stayed 4 nights

Service for a 5 star hotel was really bad. At breakfast they run out of basics like bread and yoghurt. Orange juice is artificial. Not 5 star standards at all.
