Best Western Moores Central Hotel

All was good but very limited toiletries, nowhere to place tooth brush etc, and a little dated in the room. Shame it has no parking or agreement with a third party for parking.

The whole stay was excellent. Property has recently been renovated to a high standard, and the service was fantastic.

There was no set times for closing the bars at night was told they shut if there is no one in, on 2 occasions after going for an evening walk called in for a night cap before around 10pm and they were closed

Very convenient in the centre of town. There is a lift but also lots of stairs! Staff friendly and helpful. Food good

Our 4th visit to Moores Central, St Peter Port but possibly our last. The hotel is very well situated, avoiding the steeper hills. We stayed in Room 101 which was right at the front of the hotel so there was a bit of noise later at night and in the early mornings, otherwise an excellent, generously proportioned room. With food, we had breakfast each morning and that included an extensive continental buffet. However, we chose from the kitchen and this was variable. First morning excellent, second morning obviously kept warm for too long and third morning just about Ok. We had one lunch on the terrace (a crab sandwich and a prawn sandwich) both were generously filled and tasty. Otherwise we used the terrace for a mid-afternoon drink. My wife drinks zero alcohol (either lager, wine, Prosecco or gin) but here, the only choice was lager. Staff wise the room attendant was excellent. Very thorough but quick. The reception was well attended and helpful and the staff at breakfast were also good. The area that needs attention is the terrace. On a busy afternoon not enough staff and subsequently the ones that were there were flustered. I would have scored excellent for the staff if not for that. For my wife and myself we felt that the hotel had changed and is no longer what we are looking for. However, in fairness, most of the other guests (and their comments in the Visitors book) suggest that they were more than happy. Perhaps it is us who have changed!

Very comfortable hotel with amazing food, especially seafood. Room lovely - good quality bedding and towels. Had bath as requested. A small fridge would be handy. Would like to be able to sit outside for drink in evening but otherwise excellent. Amazing location.

Although it’s in an excellent location, I do find the hotel a little old fashioned. As with last time, the Saturday evening staff were excellent and went out of their way to try and find me a taxi. However the Sunday morning reception staff, a make, seemed distinctly disinterested in helping me and didn’t seem to like me interrupting his TV show. The Moore’s lets itself down on details, such as some really poor repair work on the wall near my room which looked like a DIY job done by someone even less skilful than myself. Overall I would say the visit was OK.

I had been to the hotel before - although some parts to the hotel were improved - new style reception and bar, the rooms are quite “tired” and need updating- also our air con didn’t work well Otherwise room was comfortable enough and venue is ideally placed near to the harbour

Well appointment hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Being located in the town tended to be noisy at times.

The hotel was in the centre of town, a short walk from a bus stop. There was a bus from here that went direct to the airport. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. I took advantage of the complimentary breakfast which was very nice. The service was very good. There wasn't many places to go for an evening meal but that Guernsey for you. I would be very happy to stay again.

I've stayed in the hotel on many occasions over the past 6 years and have always found my experience to be first class. Unfortunately on this occasion water had come through the ceiling from the room above and had caused some of the ceiling tiles to fall down at 3am which caused me great stress and I couldn't get back to sleep. I informed the receptionist first thing the following morning and she was very apologetic. I appreciate this is a very rare occurrence and the hotel weren't at fault. but its a shame they still charged me full price for the night especially as I had stayed the previous night too. It won't stop me staying in the hotel again but I was very disappointed with the poor customer service.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was very clean.

The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. The shower was excellent. The location of the hotel was optimal for my stay. I would glady stay longer.

Lovely hotel in the centre, close to shops, bars and restaurants Room 203 is on the corner of the front and side of the hotel and the noise from nearby restaurants and bars could be heard until midnight, it was very hot and when you opened the window the cooking smells from the hotel kitchen came into the room and the air con was not sufficient, so it is quite stuffy

Asked for an early wake up call and filled it in on reg form. Didn't get wake up call and when questioned just got it wasn't on the list

Helpful staff, lovely big room, beutiful meal in the restaurant

The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast good. I did not like the laundry being done by a very noisy team at 5:30 am outside my room. Shouting to each other and whistling merrily is not welcome at that time. I spoke to reception, who was less than sympathetic.
