rooms were clean but, no soap, conditioner or shampoo in the shower, no coffee packets in the room, no ice machine and waited 15 minutes for a front desk attendant to come check us in.. now, this is to help improve. the services. we would stay again if we are in the area.. we liked that there was a washer and dryer in the room also..

Employee at check-in was pleasant. Room itself was clean, as expected. Trash cans surrounding building full for two days, to include pet waste cans. Elevator had a red substance spill for the last two days of stay. Since only one elevator, should have been looked over for cleanliness.

Use to have great staff before Wydham took over and they replaced almost all the employees. Courtyard is nice firepit does not work hasn’t in months . Terricka the new assistant manager is rude and just a nasty person all around. The best thing about waterwalk is Joy and Zayda at front desk two of the best people we’ve ever met .

We showed up and there was no one at check in. No one answered calls made to the main number, and it was 40 minutes before anyone came to help. When we finally got a room, the hallway was sticky floors, trash scattered, and a musty smell. The floors were still just as dirty when we checked out in the morning. The room itself was mostly clean, though there was trash under some furniture. Couldn't change the AC, and no one at the front desk to ask for an extra blanket. At checkout we explained all the issues, and were offered an insincere "sorry" We will not be coming back.

Elevator to our 2queen bed room was not working. No king beds on site so had to take another room with 1 queen. Air conditioning blew right at our faces all night, bed uncomfortable so got zero sleep. Do not recommend. Kids running wild in lobby.

They were checked in around 10 pm. The room was spacious and the washer and dryer were very nice. Issues are with the cleanliness. The fridge and cabinets had leftover food from previous guests. The bed was also broken. When I notified the front desk I was thanked for letting them know. Overall this hotel could be great. Dog-friendly and spacious but the cleanliness and customer service are lacking. The last gripe, the coffee machine in the front was broken and leaking everywhere. Also informed the front desk where I was told it was normal and okay. Police crime tape is still around the poles by the dumpster.

Lot of nasty people on the property. Smell of marijuana pretty steadily (around the main entrance and in halls) and dog pee in the elevator and floors that was there for a long while( almost dry and sticky).

This property reeked of weed from the moment you step into the lobby; even though they have a no smoking policy. When the AC started working, it would expel cold weed-scented air into the unit. The toilet's bathroom was clogged and asked for maintenance and the best they could do was “submit a work order.” This work order never was fulfilled and when I followed up, they offered a plunger so I could unclog it myself. Thirdly, my room was not serviced from one day to the other. The bed wasn’t made and no towels were changed. On the bright side, the unit has its own washer and dryer inside, and the space is wide with a comfy kitchen, small living room and ok bedroom. Definitely needs improvement, more staff and not mixing long term residents with hotel guests.

The room was not very clean. I asked for the bathroomsto be cleaned again, as one shower had hair in it and the toilet in the other bathroom was nasty. The hallways and elevator had an extremely strong odor of nasty weed. The only positive was having two separate bedrooms and bathrooms for us and the balcony.

It’s affordable and very flexible with check-in and check out times (for a small fee). It’s a 15 minute drive to downtown Charlotte. Pet friendly. Outside of the property is nice and it’s in a nice area but inside didn’t feel as clean or presentable in places. Room was decent but didn’t have that deep clean feel and the hall smelled like marijuana. The front desk staff were amazing and made checking in or making requests easy.

Unfortunatley, room was not clean, toilet had hair in it, smell was really bad. Did not feel especially safe, men in parking area drinking and smoking what smelled like weed. Came back to our room after we had checked in a few hours earlier and key card did not work, employee helped but seemed to act as if someone else was in/ should be in our room. once we got in we found the refrigerator door open and signs of someone having been in room. Nothing missing to our knowledge though. Ended up leaving and not spending the night.

This is more a motel 6 than a waterwalk. DIRTY, TRASH EVERYWHERE. Stayed there a week without a working TV in the living room (someone stole it), or the bedroom. I guess we got the only room in the place that they couldn’t make it work. The staff here was effectively useless. We were offered another room after 6 nights. Decided to just check out before something bad happened. Between junkies nodding out in the courtyard and the sheriff showing up at the door looking for a prior tenant, we had enough. Place felt more like the south side of Atlanta than Charlotte. Manager did offer a refund but, reneged in the end. Straight up lied to us, no refund has been given as of the time of this review. SKIP THIS S#!thole. Ballentyne district is only a couple miles south. WAY BETTER neighborhood

Filthy place. Furniture is all stained and the whole room smells very bad. Dirt & all kind of stains are on the doors, walls, mold, dirty blinds & curtains. Just gross overall. Not kids friendly place. Hallways always smell like weed and cigarettes. On top of everything neighbors were very loud in the middle of the night keeping the whole family up for several hours. Kids were shocked for sure and we were all super tired every morning. It seems like it’s a very convenient to have 2-3 bedroom available, but it was just extremely dirty and unsafe place to stay. I wish I can attach some pictures of furnitures, just shameful to have nasty rooms like this for rental. We had to cover everything in trash bags in order to use it… now positive - close to Carowinds and some groceries stores & restaurants.

Staff was amazing, accommodating to my needs. The hotel on the other hand needs a complete renovation. Rooms weren’t clean, furniture was stained dishes were used and not cleaned, smoke, mildew and other odors in the rooms (I was showed three rooms before leaving the property) and they have roaches in some rooms. I chose not to stay there and booked another stay else where.

Here’s a few samples. Trash from previous people. Blood stain under fridge that we discovered after unplugging the fridge since it was making so much noise and maintenance finally came today to fix. Stain on the couch and they told kids we couldn’t get a sheet to cover it because they only give one sheet per bed and no extra pillows because “we aren’t a normal hotel”. We finally got a sheet to cover the sofa. TVs never did work the entire stay and fridge got fixed 2 days before leaving. They never did offer another 2 bedroom unit.

Our shower doors did not work, there was no dispenser for shampoo or conditioner and after asking 2x we were told the “hotel was out of shampoo”, making it seem like the worker just did not want to look for us. We went to an open next door room and took the shampoo out of that bathroom instead. The floor had previous guests hair scattered around, and we never received new towels or linens after 3 nights stay. Overall the hotel room felt very dirty.

The rooms were pretty nice and were clean, however they didn’t have any wash cloths in the rooms. There were only two pillows per bed that were very flat and they had no extras to get. The trash cans on the property were overflowing and the floors in all of the public areas were dirty. There was poop in the floors in the hallway and when we called to inform the desk they said they know and were going to get it cleaned, it was still there 4 hours later. The desk never answered their phones and were never behind the desk when you walked down, you’d have to wait 10-15 minutes for service every time you needed anything including checking in. This was a nice hotel potentially, but it was ruined by lack of services and terrible housekeeping.

Have stayed here plenty of times in past but this time was different got checked in and my room door wouldn’t lock no big deal they put me in another room and the tvs wasn’t working in that room they said maintenance had went home so they could check in the morning I was leaving the next day so that didn’t help me from missing my games but after all of that when I checked out and mentioned about the tvs the lady at the front desk had a attitude like I had did something wrong

The room was perfect for the trip. I was disappointed that the microwave and dishwasher in our room didn't work. Also, we did not get fresh towels daily. When i asked for frsh towels, the rep said the ran out. Thank god there was a washer/dryer in our room and i was able to wash some of our towels.

Do not book here unless you're willing to risk a cancellation. They will accept your booking and take your payment but will cancel your reservation if someone already staying at the hotel asks to extend their stay. They also don't call or notify you of the cancellation, so once you drive 6 hours with your small children in the car you get there only to find out you have no where to stay and they will do absolutely nothing to help you. The front desk person assured me they had processed my refund, but now it's 3 days later and I had to call them back only to find out that was not correct and they never planned to give me my money back. 0/10, will never book with a WaterWalk again.

My booking was cancelled 4 hours after check-in after coming inside of the establishment and talking to the person at the front desk. I was told that there were no rooms available for me and my company to stay in and even asked the clerk if we could leave and come back to a ready room, of which they assured we could. Subsequently, after leaving for the Kendrick Lamar concert, I received a message saying that my booking was cancelled because of an overbooking issue. This left me having to not only drive about 5 hours from Virginia to Charlotte, but also drive almost 3 hours at 11PM back towards Raleigh, just to have a place to rest for the night at and not getting there until 2:40 in the morning.

It's very well located for getting around town as it's close to several major roadways. Property itself is quiet and tucked back from the road which is nice. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. However, like some other reviews I've seen, I think some improvements on general cleanliness would be nice. We stayed for a week and we moved an ottoman around for space and found old nail clippings underneath and weird ash/dirt that kept getting blown in from the vents that we couldn't identify. If that cleanliness would be improved, I could see this being a nicer place to stay.

The Water Walk is a live/stay experience that was mostly positive. The desk personnel was very friendly and helpful. The price was certainly right and the unit was spacious and clean. It is more like an apartment building than a hotel, with no surrounding restaurants or shops. It's in a lovely area, if a bit secluded. We enjoyed the suite that we had.

Everything was filthy. All of the furniture in the hotel room was disgusting. I didn’t want to sit down. The facilities and property appeared newer and well kept, but the furniture in the room was disgusting. There was a distinct odor around the entire property. The location is not close to anything and was isolated next to a few office buildings.

The check-in Rep gave us a room that was already occupied with another customer. She assigned 209 and stated she made a mistake and was supposed to give us 206. She was pleasant at check-in and we were fascinated because we have the same uncommon first name, but that mistake could have gotten me hurt or someone could have been nude or had intimate relations when we entered their room. The rooms were nice, the other disappointment was they didn’t offer complementary breakfast to their guest for the amount of money customers pay to stay.

wasn't aware it was a hotel and apartment housing. Not really the best situation for a business meeting. Lobby area had seating but was noisy, people milling about. Kids, people smoking everywhere. Room was ok, large, full kitchen, but for one night it was overkill. not much in the area for food choices.

Staff was super friendly and sweet! The room itself was very spacious and clean. Loved the laundry machine in each room - came with free laundry detergent as well. Felt very comfortable and spacious. Well stocked kitchen. Also had 2 smart TV's in our hotel room!! One in living room/kitchen and another in the bedroom. Very convenient. Coffee machine in lobby area was quite delicious and we looked forward to getting the drinks every chance we got. Would definitely stay here again! 10/10!
