We had a fantastic stay at Don Bonito while celebrating my birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience special, and their friendliness truly stood out. The hotel and common areas were impeccably clean, and the amenities were a pleasant surprise—especially the complimentary yoga class, which was an incredible experience. The included breakfast at the café was delicious, and the service there was just as warm and welcoming. The hotel’s location is also very convenient, just a short distance from the main town. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay at Don Bonito again when visiting Sayulita!

Check in was good. Room was immaculate. Matty at reception was very warm and welcoming. We were disappointed that the pool area was shared with guests to the adjoining cafe and yoga studio. Wifi was also shared. This made it impossible to enjoy the pool or the wifi. Free breakfast was difficult to receive as service was slow. Very busy with other guests so staff seemed overwhelmed. Was charged for peanut butter for toast. Had to wait 15 minutes for change after paying. Better off to go down the street to get breakfast. Room was fantastic and Matty was a great host. Other than that the accommodations need major improvements.

Lovely property in a quiet spot. Loved the pool area and rooftop yoga, staff is amazing and helpful. It’s 5 min walk to the beach, and 15 min walk to town. Keep in mind walls are thin so if you’re a light sleeper like me, can hear everything may not be the most restful sleep.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable. The pool was so nice and so was the cafe at the property. It was easy and quick to walk to the town and restaurants, however because of the heat, we rented a golf cart which was super fun and got you into town quickly! Matty was so lovely and friendly the entire visit. We definitely recommend Don Bonito!

My time at Don Bonito was unforgettable. The location is perfect — just steps from the beach and a short walk to the heart of town with amazing food spots all around. The hotel is clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed. The café serves great coffee and light bites, and the yoga class was one of the best I've taken. What made my stay truly special was the warm and genuine staff — especially Matti at the front desk, who was so kind, and the sweet café team who always made me feel at home. I’ll absolutely be back. Don Bonito has the heart of Sayulita.

Property was nicely decorated and well maintained. Cafe with breakfast and to go items for purchase with friendly staff. Air conditioned rooms to come back to from the heat. Not a lot of foot traffic since it is a small hotel which suited us fine. Only improvements, I would say the pillows were quite hard which made it uncomfortable and the fact there is no lighting for the pool so we couldn't enjoy into the night as expected to cool off. Otherwise a good location for walking distance to the main part of town as well as access to the north beach which is more desolate.

El lugar está muy limpio, seguro y con mucho estilo. Tienen un café abajo con muy buen sabor. Lo único es que hay mucho movimiento. Si quieres ir a descansar habrá ruido toda la mañana por Yoga en el 3er piso y el café abajo, pero nada del otro mundo. Lo disfrutamos mucho!

Staff was so helpful and friendly, beautiful design, loved the location, breakfast was great. The only feedback is that the floors were not clean, hard with cement and sand and that the shower didn’t drain very well. Would definitely stay there again.

Well I booked a "Master Suite", the room had no balcony per the pics, but worst of all the room had a free standing toilet, no door or ventilation to a bathroom ??? I could lay in bed a few feet away and enjoy the sounds and smells of my partners ablutions. What a lovely experience on holiday, paying $200 per night for a concrete box room that really tested the limits of my love for my partner. The pool and sitting area are tiny, almost always in shade, the angles of the property pics are very misleading, this is NOT an upscale property in any way. Not what you would expect in a "Master Suite". Very disappointed and will not return. On the plus side good hot water and quiet part of town.

Beautifully designed space in a quiet location. There is a lot of noise from the yoga class, and the sound proofing in the room is quite bad (woke up before sunrise by a rooster each morning). The pool is very nice but there is some pool equipment that is very loud and takes from the enjoyment. Also no coffee in the room and cafe was closed during our stay.

We stayed at Don Bonito for a week over New Years and had the BEST experience!!!! We were greeted by Mattie and she made us feel instantly at home. Our room was absolutely perfect, and any request was taken care of immediately. The location was amazing. We will most definitely be back to stay again!! 😊

Great spot with very friendly front desk. Near a really nice part of the beach that’s a bit more chill from the main beach. Nice cafe as well. Only issue was that shower water was never warm. Aside from that, no issues and would recommend.

My husband and I stayed overnight for a wedding in Sayulita, and this was an incredible hotel! The rooms were clean and hospitable and the service was over the top! They helped us book a golf cart, our taxi to and from the airport, whatever we needed! I highly recommend staying here. We would love to visit again!

We stayed at Don Bonito for a week over New Years and had the BEST experience!!!! We were greeted by Mattie and she made us feel instantly at home. Our room was absolutely perfect, and any request was taken care of immediately. The location was amazing. We will most definitely be back to stay again!! 😊

Lovely property in a quiet spot. Loved the pool area and rooftop yoga, staff is amazing and helpful. It’s 5 min walk to the beach, and 15 min walk to town. Keep in mind walls are thin so if you’re a light sleeper like me, can hear everything may not be the most restful sleep.

Property was nicely decorated and well maintained. Cafe with breakfast and to go items for purchase with friendly staff. Air conditioned rooms to come back to from the heat. Not a lot of foot traffic since it is a small hotel which suited us fine. Only improvements, I would say the pillows were quite hard which made it uncomfortable and the fact there is no lighting for the pool so we couldn't enjoy into the night as expected to cool off. Otherwise a good location for walking distance to the main part of town as well as access to the north beach which is more desolate.

I had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is quiet which makes for a peaceful stay, but close enough to town that it makes walking to restaurants convenient. Close to some hiking trails to the beach which was also nice!

We had a fantastic stay at Don Bonito while celebrating my birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience special, and their friendliness truly stood out. Beautifully designed space in a quiet location. There is a lot of noise from the yoga class, and the sound proofing in the room is quite bad (woke up before sunrise by a rooster each morning). The pool is very nice but there is some pool equipment that is very loud and takes from the enjoyment. Also no coffee in the room and cafe was closed during our stay.

Staff was so helpful and friendly, beautiful design, loved the location, breakfast was great. The only feedback is that the floors were not clean, hard with cement and sand and that the shower didn’t drain very well. Would definitely stay there again.
