Mjög glæsilegt hús með góðri setustofu, bar og útsýnisherbergi, en alveg sérstaklega fullkominni SPA með IR-klefa, sauna og heitum potti. Hæstu einkunn fær nudd sem hótelið býður upp á en en dálítið skvaldur heyrist í hvíldarherberginu inn í nuddherbergið.

Great hotel just in the middle of no where. Had horses outside our room which was cool. Restaurant had great food. Good gym and amenities but the pool table was broken and limited pool cues - only 1, rest were broken. Didn’t love that you needed to pay 3000 ISK per person to use the sauna and hot tub.

Pros: - Beautiful building architecture and materials. - Friendly, helpful staff. - Clean, comfortable rooms. - Delicious breakfast with options for a variety of diets Cons: - Gym doesn’t open until 9am, so early workouts aren’t possible. - There are not really walking paths outdoors so going for. a run or walk are not possible. Notes: The location is quite rural, with no nearby restaurants. We recommend dining at the hotel—the food was very good and reasonably priced.

Best vegetarian meal I had in all of Iceland, the mushroom soup and cauliflower steak was amazing! The hot tub under the igloo enclosure was so relaxing at night. My favorite thing about the property was the view: beautiful snow capped mountains, horses at the nearby horse farm, etc. There’s a little country gravel road that you can take a walk or run on where you can pass the most beautiful horses, definitely check it out!

Hotel is a little far away from town. You have to drive bumpy roads to reach there. But hotel itself is nice and new. They also have spa and pool table .

Arrived 9pm or so. Sauna & hot tub closed already despite daylight til after midnight. No upgrades were available to me per hotel. Hotel did not appear full. Room was ok, small, clean, twin beds and a cot which was extremely uncomfortable. Bathroom, huge however no hot water for morning showers. Informed clerk and was offered a free soda. Free breakfast was good. Technology great. Nice sitting areas throughout probably for viewing the northern lights.

O hotel tem um sistema de monitoramento de aurora bem legal. Há câmeras de monitoramento e quando são identificadas auroras visiveis a olho nu a equipe liga. Se você estiver caçando auroras boreais acho que este hotel é perfeito. Ele tambem é perto do Golden circle. Muito confortável.

Great hotel in a nice location. Included breakfast was excellent and restaurant has a nice view. I wish the hot tub wasn’t so close to the parking lot which makes it not super private. Also sound proofing in our room was not perfect. We could hear the people outside of the building at all times. Nonetheless, we had a great experience overall.

Wow, a gem in the middle of nowhere. Exceptionally modern amenities, super clean. Ideal to watch northern lights. Would definitely stay again.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area. Our room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Also their continental breakfast was excellent.

Very clean, comfortable hotel that is centrally located to southern Iceland sites. Hotel is off the beaten path, but is very quiet with beautiful scenery and excellent viewing location for the northern lights and star gazing (very little light pollution). Food is very good. Breakfast is excellent with tons of options. Would definitely stay here again!

O Hotel é muito bonito, mas fica bem longe da cidade de Hella, uns 20km. Camas e travesseiros confortáveis, bom aquecimento no quarto, porém o chuveiro não esquenta o suficiente, para um lugar de neve, deveria ser revisto. As paredes também não tem isolamento algum, da pra ouvir tudo o que as outras pessoas estão falando nos quartos ao lado. Também não tem opção de lanches, caso a pessoa não queira jantar no restaurante do Hotel, minha sugestão seria colocarem geladeiras com sanduíches e salgadinhos como há em outros hotéis da região, tendo em vista que está um lugar isolado.

We had our best sleep in Iceland at this hotel. Rooms are quite with great view. Breakfast was great too.

This was truly a luxury hotel. It was beautiful all-around. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom. Great blackout curtains were helpful too. The breakfast included was one of the best I’ve ever had an any hotel. The only complaint I’d have was that the hotel didn’t have a/c in the rooms, and the window you could open was quite small and not screened-in. But we still made it work. If you do book this hotel, I’d also highly recommend getting the travel insurance. We had one of the bridges washed away during our visit and since Iceland has mostly only the single road (Route 1/Ring Road) to get anywhere, the hotel told us there was nothing they could do if we couldn’t make it since we didn’t have insurance. It didn’t matter that the only road was closed, they said they hope we can get there. So we had to drive 16 hours (instead of 2) to get to the hotel. We made the best of it, but if you can get insurance, please do because Iceland has this happen semi-frequently and we would have gotten the insurance had we’d known that in advance.

I had a confirmed reservation with Landhotel and 2 days before arrival they sent me an email that they have been overbooked and they have moved me to a different hotel in Selfoss!!! This has never happened to me and it was a terrible experience as the hotel that was “assigned” to us didn’t have the features I have looked for when I booked Landhotel: - 30 min drive further from where we wanted to be the following day - Landhotel was in the middle of nature, the hotel that they sent us to was in the middle of the town - Spa was closed - no restaurant on site - very uncomfortable beds - not looking as nice At the time of booking Landhotel, I had 2 other very good options I could choose too, if only I knew it wasn’t 100% sure I would get a room in Landhotel. If they are overbooking, I would like to know this at the time of booking as I would definitely choose a different option. I want to stay in the chosen accommodation, not in the one they assign to me. When I called them to discuss with them, their excuse was that airlines do the same….. Yes, they do, and this is why many people complain about their service and also, airlines give you compensation when they are overbooked. My thoughts about why they have moved me to a different hotel: - they received a reservation for a bigger group that didn’t have enough rooms - I heard this from someone in Iceland that this happens sometimes. - maybe the problem is that I booked through this platform which is the first time I did it.

The staff was warm and very accommodating. This is my second stay here and I recommend it highly. Tomas and Peter were outstanding

We decided last minute to spend our last night in Iceland at Landhotel due to watching their Live Aurora Borealis webcam throughout the week. It was the BEST decision - the staff, hotel and Aurora were absolutely amazing. The staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable!

The hotel is right off the main road, in a pretty secluded area. Don't expect to find mini marts or a gas station nearby. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with very comfy beds. Breakfast is plentiful and included in your stay. The only restaurant on site is expensive (but to be fair, so is the rest of Iceland) and the waiters were not friendly or even attentive. Everyone else in the hotel was super nice and we had a great time! Special mention to the bartender who always had a smile on his face, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy!!! (I'm sorry I don't remember your name! but you made me the most delicious cucumber mojitos!!!) Would love to come back!

Our one night stay at Landhotel was wonderful. From the moment we arrived everyone was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in April so the place was quiet and peaceful. The hotel feels very new and modern and is set away from all other ambient light sources, making it an ideal location for Northern Lights viewing. They took time to explain the amenities and dinner options. Our daughters have Celiac (gluten free) and they were great with food options for both dinner and breakfast including offering gluten free bread. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of options. We also went to bed with low expectations for northern lights options, but they called to wake us when the skies luckily cleared. What truly set our stay apart though, was how much the hotel helped with our car trouble. We had accidentally put the wrong gas in our car, causing it to not start in the morning. They had someone with mechanic experience who drained the tank, while another colleague drove to the nearest gas station (15 minutes away) to get us the right gas so we could get back to town. Saved us hundreds of dollars and the hours we would have had to wait to use the car rental service's roadside assistance. Truly a memorable stay and quite reasonable compared to other options in the area.

Great location and the staff were all kind and would do anything to assist you. The beds are out of this world comfortable! They provide a wake up call if wanted so you never miss the northern lights. Will definitely stay there again-and highly recommend Landhotel!

This property is definitely not close to anything which was fine with us. It was clean and the front desk staff was very nice. We stayed 3 nights and the breakfast did not change at all from day to day. We would have preferred a little more variety. The hot tub was in the oddest location out front. It was a nice hotel for the location and price.

The hotel was clean, had good food, was in a beautiful place. Perfect launching place to the Highlands. About a 18 minute drive from Hella.

This hotel is about 15 minutes off of the 1 and so worth the drive. The rooms were large, as well as the bathroom & full size shower. The restaurant was the best part, fantastic food, as an example I ordered Dessert and it took 15 minutes to arrive because it was cooked fresh.

Breakfast was not upto the mark
