No towels were available at 9pm (pool open until 11). Light switch didnt work. Only lighting was from the pool and hot tub. There were 3 lounge chairs available, which i couldnt use because im disabled. Only 1 small round table with 2 chairs, and 1 chair wasnt safe to sit on

Hotel is in need of a good cleaning and updates. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was very small. No in room coffee machine. Breakfast was just ok... pool is very small and we could not find any working lights.

Lacking common hotel accommodations. Pool so over chemicaled my family's eyes were burning for the next 48 hours. Awful. Will not return

Stayed in a double queen, one of the beds didn’t have a blanket just sheets. The pool was closed within the hours posted it should have been open.

Poor management, lots of unacceptable issues. We returned last night to find our room unlocked/not latched, the cleaner had been in there to take out trash... thankfully nothing was taken! What the heck is up with no lights in the pool area (plus, no towels or chairs) and low light in the room to hide blessmishes and stained and thin sheets and other gross conditions.

One of the reasons why i picked this place was that after a long drive (9 plus hours) i thought i would like to unwind with a glass of wine....which they advertised as having a bar on site. But, to my disappointment, they had lost their liquor license. I can say with 100 % honesty, i would NOT have booked there. False advertising.

Very bright hotel, friendly staff. Room was very spacious, bed was very soft in my younger days wouldve been great but not so much in my now older days. Don't get me wrong was still very comfortable. Pool and hot tub could've been cleaned better. Only major complaint i have is none of the outer doors can be opened from outside except main door in lobby.

There was someone's pants left in my room on the floor by the safe probably from a previous guess. And then the pool area was closed only reason I reserved this hotel is to enjoy the pool and hot tub

Bathrooms were filthy. Walls. Everything dirty. Carpets had sticky spots and curtains had holes.

The property was not clean at all. The room I got had makeup or dried blood stains on the sheets, there was a dead bug on the wall, there was some dried food on the back of the door, and just not clean at all. We switched to a different room which was cleaner than the last one but still not the best. There was mold in the bathroom and stains on the mattress cover. I expected better and was disappointed.

The hotel was extremely dirty. There was a dog somewhere on the floor that barked most of the night.

At check in, we were first given keys to an occupied room. Thank goodness the occupants were not in the room. It then took some time to get a different room. Bathroom shower had significant mildew and stains in corners. Room had not been vacuumed thoroughly.

Our room wasn’t cleaned very well, had to wear shoes in the shower. Only two pillows on the king bed. Floor was full of crumbs. In the pool area there was rust coming out of the electrical sockets, I would say would be a fire hazard? Breakfast was definitely nothing impressive. Also, the whole hotel smelled like weed.

Room was filthy, holes in curtains, no ice bucket, one washcloth, one hand towel, when we asked housekeeping for another SET of towels, we got two more body towels. No bath mat, walls were DISGUSTING with ADULT sized handprints on them at bent over level…yes, come to your own conclusion. Huge clump of female length hair smeared on the inside of the shower wall, shampoo bottle had “BODI WASH” written on it in permanent marker, whole hotel was hot, humid and smelled of urine, someone kept trying to open our door several times in the middle of the night both nights, our bathroom smelled like drugs (not marijuana) the morning of the 28th when we were going to leave, I got so sick from the overwhelming smell. Carpet had not been vacuumed in who knows how long based on the garbage on it and mysterious white stains…ick. Chunks of wall missing in bathroom and again, dirty walls, afraid to touch anything in here. Water in shower was perfect temp turned all the way on. But when I was in for maybe 2 minutes, it would suddenly turn scalding hot as if someone flushed the toilet, then freezing cold, then normal, again. It would do this maybe 6-7 times in a 10 minute shower!!! The room smells like unwashed rear end, it was just an awful stay all around. The last time was a lot better and a lot nicer, aside from not shutting down the pool when someone’s child pooped in it. Unfortunately, many events in town, and this was the only place left with reasonable vacancy.

Unfortunately our experience was very underwhelming. Our room was dirty upon check in.

My room was disgusting with hair lining the shower and crusty on the carpet. I asked for them to clean it while I was at work the next day and came back to a still filthy room.

The property is not clean. The common areas need to be tended to.

The hotel had an unpleasant smell as you entered. The rooms were small and the bathroom was very small. The door to the bathroom had to be closed in order to stand at the sink. The sink was more form than function. Water splattered everywhere every time you used it. So any item on the counter got wet because there wasn’t much counter space. There was no lighting in the room, except for one small lamp. If they were back to the wall, they weren’t working. The sheets on the bed were marked up with black streaks. The AC was on in the room instead of the heat and it was cold through the night. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice that until the morning. It was not a good night sleep because there were people talking and moving about a lot through the middle of the night and you could hear people snoring in the next room. The walls were so thin. I feel I overpaid for these rooms by a lot, even for the going rate the day I was there through hotels.com. Unfortunately, the hotel could not do anything to rectify the situation because I booked through hotels.com. I will not stay here again and I am questioning using hotels.com again as well.

This hotel was not the best or the worst place we’ve stayed. The staff was welcoming and helpful but the room and hotel decor was a bit off. The rooms were spacious but the lighting was terrible and it was rather dark in the room. Our phone was also broken so we had to go to the front desk when we needed anything. We wouldn’t recommend this place to friends.

Walls were thin and I could hear the people in the next room. The first night they were very loud all night and woke me up blasting music at 3am. I called the front desk and they were helpful at getting the music turned down.

We loved the overall vibe of the hotel, the front desk personnel were very welcoming and kind. The only issue we had- and this is a BIG ONE- the walls are so thin that we literally had to hear some sort of sexual marathon that went on Saturday night for over 2 hours. My kids are 7 and 14 and it was so loud it sounded like it was an inch away…..and this was around 12-2am the night before my daughter’s third day of competing in a high level dance competition. Also, please start using actual standard size pillows. My husband thought they were for munchkins.

The walls are very thin, and you can hear everything in the adjoining rooms. You can hear people coming and going through the doors as well.

Rooms had been remodeled and seemed to be clean. Rooms were extremely dark.Black carpet and 2 small led lamps.We could barely find our way around.

Reasonably quiet room for decent rest. Nice lobby to sit in and read/work on computer while others in room sleeping. Our room seemed very dated and tired. Some stains and lots of wear marks on walls. Suited our purposes.

Checked in and our key didn't work 2x so I had to change it 2x and go back down to the lobby. The front desk clerk was rude and unprofessional. People vaping in the lobby. Our toilet was cracked. Bed sheets were stained. Our bathroom sink didn't drain. We asked for another room only to find out that it was unsanitary and the sheets had yellow stains as well. We checked out and the hotel wouldn't refund us eventhough we did not use the service. DO NOT STAY HERE.

While we didn’t spend much time at the property the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and we had no issues.

TV didnt work and they refused to change my room until i allowed a man to enter my room (2 women traveling alone) to try the remote. (See pic 1. The tv had been noted as not working a week before my stay!) He tried for 15 minutes and failed so changed our room. In the process of trying to get tv to work, my credit card was charged for a pay-per-view. When i notified front desk, they said there was nothing they could do. I asked to talk to a manager and they said he wasnt there. I asked for a number and they said they cant give it out. "When will they be in?" Anytime between 10am and 2pm. The room was in much better shape than the halls and reception. Carpet in reception was stained with numerous black and brown stains. Grease, oil? Bulbs burned out chandelier and light fixtures. STRONG smell of food cooking as soon as entry door opened. Hallway carpet had worn holes in multiple places and hall was painted with a Very bright almost fluorescent blue. Hotel looked great from the outside but was a bit of a surprise when you walked in.

Staff was fantastic

I had originally booked a two night stay. I called to change my booking to be one night instead. All was confirmed, I even received a confirmation email and a refund for the one night I wouldn’t be staying. Upon check in I was told that they had no idea I changed my reservation and that in the system I was a ‘no show’ and charged for that. I provided them the confirmation email and proof that I had paid for the one night and they said all they could do was cancel my entire booking/refund me and that I would have to make a new booking. This new booking was over a hundred dollars more than I had originally paid. It has been a week and I still haven’t received my refund for my original booking. Whenever I call, the man at the front desk is very rude and sounds confused about what I am asking and keeps telling me to call back when the manager is in

Front desk was a gentleman, very helpful, very nice. We booked the room months in advance and the day before arriving we asked for a quiet room, on upper floor, away from the elevator, away from the ice machine. We got exactly that, it was perfect. Quiet, clean, beds were comfortable, shower was great. The area around the hotel is a neighborhood with mostly apartments surrounding it. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around outside. We didn't have enough towels, so I would ask ahead of time for the number of towels you want, they are very accommodating. Breakfast was ok, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy. Cereal, bagels, toast, coffee but they didn't have any tea. The waffle maker was broke, but it looked like they were trying to fix it. Other than that, it was very good.

No housekeeping, my garbage was overfilled. My room was dark. I ask them to change the light bulbs. They never got around to it!!

Excellent showers and comfy beds! Heat and AC worked great. Convenient to have the microwave and fridge in the room. Front desk and housekeeping was so friendly and helpful. We already booked again!

An okay stay but left lots to be desired. Upon arriving to check-in only 1 employee was on site resulting in a very slow check-in. The employee lacked any customer service skills — barely even saying hello. The room was okay, multiple outlets/light switches did not work, stains on the curtains, and rips on some bedding. Unfortunately housekeeping had left for the day by the time we arrived so requests for additional items such as pillows and towels were unable to be complete. Overall a good place to sleep for the night but probably would not return.

Location to campus

Do not book this hotel! We had a terrible experience from the start. We pulled into the parking lot and there were so many people loitering, I felt uncomfortable exiting my car alone. Therefore, we parked, gathered our suitcases and headed for the lobby to check in. There were several cars with people sleeping in them. When we got to the entrance, there were 5 or 6 people crowding the door, smoking with inappropriate and concerning conversation. We waited in the hotel lobby for ~10 minutes (there was sign that the front desk attendant was with another guest and would return shortly). The lobby was unkempt and there were two more guests arguing. My husband and I decided that the situation felt so unsafe that we were uncomfortable staying the night, especially with our daughter! We never spoke to an employee and just turned and left. Decided it was safer to make a long drive home at night than stay the night. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Did not like that key cards didn't open outside doors. Also, non hotel person's partying in the parking lot made us uneasy.

This is in a terrible part of town. People smoking weed as you walk in. Had a person stalking my wife and kids and talking inappropriately to them. My family was very scared. We checked out an hour after checking in. Shady things going on at this hotel. Front desk reversed charges, im hoping to get a refund from Expedia. Went and stayed at a very nice Holiday inn.

I bit loud with people running in and out...police presence, sketchy people hanging around all the time.

A bit run down. Not the best feeling neighborhood. Close to a lot of things because it is right in town. Our weekend nightly rate was way too high for that area.

Hotel was great, about 13 minute drive to downtown and UW-Madison.

In a very bad part of town and the building was not upkept like it should have been.

Please fix the broken hot water machine, at breakfast! It’s not acceptable to have broken things at a hotel. Also, there’s no overhead light in room 302. There’s one light where you enter, that’s it. The nightstand lights are not enough to light the room at night. It’s dark. Thank you

The cost was very good but the room had cobwebs, very insufficient lighting, and dining was extremely limited. Additionally, less than an hour after I checked out I called to enquire about a gold necklace that was left in the bathroom. The staff was very incooperative and after 2 calls, the front desk staff said housekeeping did not see my necklace. I asked if I could return to check for it and they insisted it was not there. Sadly, I would not recommended this hotel.

The main reason we booked this hotel was because it said that it had a bar. We get there and they said the bar was closed.

The rooms are clean and standard issue, with a microwave, fridge, and safe. The breakfast was adequate, with a waffle maker (yeah!) and very bland coffee, despite using whole beans (!) and a coffee mill. The interior decoration is, to be polite, peculiar, with bright blue hall walls with a neon red stripe. The abstract art paintings in the rooms and halls are, instead of the usual corporate pastel blah, verge on the demonic......very strange.

It was alright. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. By the time we went down to get breakfast, most of it was gone and there weren’t many choices. The coffee could have been better.

It’s a nicer location than the actual facility rates out. The rooms are too dark, the bar was never open, and breakfast set up is below average. The eggs were awful.
