Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Dawsonville by IHG

Above Arrival on Friday evening. I went to store to purchased some snacks to keep in the refrigerator for my Diabetes. The Refrigerator was not working upon returning to hotel. Its was around 10p.m. or later. The night guy Adam try his best to fix the issue finally on Refrigerator number 3 they thought they fixed it. Waking Saturday morning refrigerator was not working food was hot as ever.I proceeded to take a shower when going into the bathroom the walkin shower I requested turns out to be a tub.I requested a walkin shower because im partial disable and with a partial amputation to my foot my balance is not the best for a tub.So, I went to front desk to give details of the Disaster and the Tub issue.Then thenight shift lady came removed food and at 530 am im moving to a new room. Upon moving to new room appears to be better. Yes, a walkin shower as requested. Refrigerator working.overall im alot more pleased. After taking a shower went out side to inspect pool area. Leaves and debris on pool patio area,in the pool on top and the floor of pool. I assume maybe im expecting to much too early..I went ahead did a few things. Came back after lunch pool still Nasty. The pool water does not even seem to be moving (circulating in the pool). Again,big disappointment because I want to try some pool exercises for my affected leg and foot. Pool still not clean on Saturday evening at closing time for pool. Sunday morning I woke went to use the sink...Alot more to story please call me.

Great location. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. Also pet friendly if traveling with dogs. Seemed new. Only complaint was no one at desk to check in waited a while. Also bathroom door stuck and locked us in a couple of times.

The property was awesome. It’s relatively new and close to all sorts of shopping around the area. The front desk people were really awesome. The breakfast provided was very good as well. Overall a very good experience during our stay at this property.

Large room. Dog friendly and small fee. Breakfast great. Bed great. Last minute booking and all was great. Location good.

Very clean space and a greag dinning areas. The hotel was so thoughtful and acomodating. The pool was also a great pluse as well as their huge variety of breakfast selections.

Everything was good, except the room smelled like smoke & humidity

The bathroom stand-in shower doesn't have any barrier to stop the water from flowing into the rest of the floor while taking shower. The shower curtain was also very high. So, taking shower was a nightmare as the whole bathroom would get flooded with water. Stayed there two nights. Bathroom got new towels in between days, but wasn't cleaned at all. Room was not touched at all either.

Total stay was flawless...room was clean, furniture and amenities were well-organized and the breakfast was quite good.

Hotel looked nice but smelled terrible. As soon as you walk in the lobby it stinks horribly and our room was smelly as well; like musty pee. Was kind of inconvenient that you could only get housekeeping by request at certain times.

Internet access was difficult

The room above me had a party. It was extremely loud and I couldn’t sleep. The tv in my room only worked on a few channels. Overall terrible experience.

The internet did not work which meant the tv didn’t work either.

Staff is excellent. HVAC system allows room to be damp. System does not have a bathroom vent allowing moisture to accumulate while the cooling system only runs while room is occupied. The trapped moisture is captured by carpeting, bedding and clothing. This is a solvable problem.

Big room - big enough for a wheelchair in Rm 125. However, there should be more than 1 grab bar in that shower.

My significant other and I were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Holiday Inn in Dawsonville. Not only was the staff more than nice and friendly, the hotel was spotless! It was a short trip, but it made us want to go back! The water pressure in the shower was amazing. The bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was very accommodating. My husband was not feeling well and they were able to assist him throughout his stay. We are very grateful that they took such good care of him and my son.

Brandy was amazing. I had a hard travel day on my birthday, arrived defeated, and her kindness made a world of difference!

The first room we had unfortunately the toilet wouldn’t work so they moved us to a suite and gave us free waters for our trouble. The staff was amazing!! I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and there’s a reason for that!

At 9 pm we had to call for extra towels due to shower getting the floor wet. The towels were delivered to our door in less than 5 minutes. Check in and out was quick. While checking in all of my questions about things to do in the area was answered with other suggestions also. Breakfast was delicious

Staff was superb! Food was excellent and the room was absolutely fantastic!!

The front staff was amazing. The booking didn’t get pushed to their system and the manager came back in after she had already left for the night to contact customer service and get me checked in.

This hotel was super clean! Excellent location! Lots of restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. Super convenient to hiking areas and waterfalls if you’re into the outdoors.

It is located close to the outlet mall. This was the reason we came to Dawsonville.

Family lives close by. Excellent area. Easy for out of towners to travel. Hotel is well maintained, grounds are appealing, well tended. Shopping and many choices for eating out.

Great location

The shower in the room was phenomenal, hardest water pressure I've ever felt in a hotel, bravo! The breakfast bar was really setup nicely, just wished you would have had bacon along with the sausage Links and patties. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The only issue we noticed was in the hallways it was VERY warm, the temperature was not the same as in the lobby area or the rooms. Making that consistent throughout the facility would be my only request. Other than that, great stay!
