This property said no pets. Many of the people staying there had dogs, without service animal tags. I am not only allergic to dogs but have been attacked by a dog 3 times. And the barking was ridiculous.

The hotel was fine, it could have used some basic maintenance, like the water constantly dripped in the bathtub. It was clean and breakfast was good enough for my picky kids.My kids loved the saltwater pool, which was warm and very clean. The area immediately around the hotel didn't have anything to eat within walking distance.

The staff needs to inform you when checking in the cost of the pet fee, not charge your credit card without notifying you first. Unbelievable!!!

Good over all. Family friendly, need to follow their pet policy or changed it to pet friendly. Was told at check in that there were no pets allowed and yet there were 3 family's that brought their dogs in the hotel.

Very affordable stay that is incredibly comfortable. The salt water pool is amazing. Breakfast is always served well and the staff is incredibly courteous. Never had an issue with any stay.

This hotel is amazing. Very nice furniture in the rooms and around the pool. A nice big pool. And an awesome breakfast with lots of choices and plenty to go around. Friendly staff. It’s also a great location just across the bridge from topsail island and overlooking a nice golf course too.

Very happy with the stay. Walk to a nice golf course, minutes to beautiful beaches. Friendly staff, nice pool, good prices. This will be my default hotel when friends and family come to visit.

The bed was comfortable and the grounds well kept. The room smelled of mold and mildew, ceiling was peeling in multiple places, the window wouldn’t close all the and there was a large mold spot on one portion of the ceiling

Nicely updated clean room, friendly staff, breakfast area and breakfast offerings were also very nice.

The room was spacious and the bedding was nice and soft and clean. The pool area was nice. We reserved three , two of the rooms had alot of bugs. We told the front desk twice but they weren’t concerned said sometimes that happens when it rains but we had been in the area for over a week and it hadn’t rained so I don’t know.

WHOLE place stank of mold. Including the room.

This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel. Won't stay again. Each time it seems to be less an less clean.

Our first room smelled like mold and mildew. They did switch it. It was better but still had a slight mildew smell. The vents were covered in dust. There were roaches crawling out of their hairdryers. 😬

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the condition of the room during my recent stay at your hotel October 10th-11th. I booked the 10th-12th but could not stay the second night. I had expected a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, but unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite. Upon arrival, we were immediately met with the overpowering smell of ozone. An ozone machine was running in the room. We unplugged it and brought it to the front desk. While this may have been intended to address odors or mold, the lingering ozone was extremely unpleasant and raised serious health concerns. As you may know, ozone exposure has been associated with respiratory irritation, chest pain, coughing, and can exacerbate asthma and other health conditions. It is not something guests should be exposed to at any concentration upon entering a room. Unfortunately, the ozone wasn’t the only issue. The room had a strong moldy odor, suggesting that there may be deeper maintenance issues. The floors were visibly dirty. When I accidentally spilled a small amount of juice and wiped it up with a napkin, the napkin came away black—a clear sign that the floor had not been properly cleaned. Additionally, although the room was labeled as "pet friendly," I was surprised to find a very old and dusty tennis ball behind the bed. Very clean, friendly staff, nice breakfast

It’s dirty and poorly kept. The staff I interacted with were friendly, but the place is just bad. There was a cockroach in my room and I found another dead one in the hallway that was there for my whole three-day stay. I paid Expedia for a suite with a king bed and a separate sitting area, and was given a small standard room with two queen beds because I had a dog. I specified in the reservation I had a pet, and was never told I couldn’t stay in a suite because of the pet. They didn’t offer me a refund or any alternatives and I ended up staying in a much smaller and cheaper room with no refund for the price difference.

Not a big variety for breakfast. The biscuits were hard and the gravy was cold. In the room we couldn’t get the air conditioner to cool off the room. Was very stuffy both nights we were there.

Everything was great but the comforters were made of some kind of material that makes you sweat and the beds were very uncomfortable.

We returned to this hotel after having a great experience earlier this summer. However, this time we were on the first floor and it was miserable. We were woken up all night- so glad I don't have young kids! We could hear neighbors conversation, snoring, giggling ( so glad with my kids that was all!) plus all the noise from the hall plus the waffle timer going off every 3 min starting at 6:30 - and we weren't even the closest room. There was pool party that felt like it was in our bathroom- I didn't blame them for having a good time and they did disperse directly at 10pm. The room was clean, lovely, but so noisy!

The rooms are being refurbished and are great! It is the south near the coast, so there is a smell of mold....

Liked the location convenience, easy access to Topsail Beach. Did not like the bed height-they got new mattresses that are now hip-height without a step stool available-impossible to get into!

This turned into a quick trip but we were amazed with the staff! Helpful and friendly! Room accommodations very comfortable.

This is a great place to stay. The room was clean and attractive, the lobby was inviting. I love that they vending machines by the elevator - this should be a thing at every hotel! The bathroom did leave something to be desired - the shower had low water pressure and wasn't great, and the door wouldn't close all the way. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed my stay!

The mattress was a bit soft. It was at time uncomfortable. Barely sees someone at the front desk.

Exceptionally rude check in staff. Assumed that their listing made it clear whether the room we booked allows pets. Then treated me like a liar when I said I responded to an email saying we have a dog. Then did rude thinks like loudly crumpling paper and never saying please or thank you. Not to mention that he did not even greet me when I stepped to the counter. In addition, he then assigned us to a room with a lower cost than the king suite we paid for, a room that smelled like smoke and had a dead cockroach.

I video walking into my room for my mom so she could see if she likes it and she did! 🥰 My morning breakfast was wonderful, hot, clean, and had great service. Plus I was only a bridge away from North Topsail Beach. I'll be back with family next time. One more thing, everyone in that town had positive energy! Good was great also and anything you need is only a few mins away. Thank you for the wonderful stay❣️

The location is convenient and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I have stayed there before and would again if I am in the area.

Great location with proximity to beach access, food and drinks, and pretty views when crossing the adjacent bridge. Will be back next time I come to Topsail!

Our favorite place to stay for a quick weekend trip to the beach. Staff is always friendly and breakfast is always delicious!

Took my family for a weekend beach trip before back to school and this hotel was the best we’ve ever stayed at. The staff were all super nice and friendly. Some places make you feel like a nuisance, not this place! The breakfast was a definite highlight, thanks to the sweet lady making our breakfast sandwiches and cutting up fresh fruit. This hotel will always be our go to if we come back to the area. Thank you Blue Water for giving us an enjoyable weekend!
