We really just needed a place to sleep, but I would have definitely wanted to spend more time in the charming yard and at the beach a short walk across the street. This cottage was clean, well stocked and organized and very comfortable with a large TV and streaming services that was perfect for a movie at night. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Came to California for a soccer trip at Silverlakes in Norco. This property was just what we needed to have beach time and enjoy watching our daughter play during the day. The location is the absolute best. We enjoyed morning walks along the beach, after and happy so hour drinks at local spots. So many choices for food and drinks, family friendly ones too! The patio space was amazing to chill and listen to the neighborhood or the best views from the patio when you want some sunshine, a bit of people watching and fun interacting with the neighbors and surf community. Definitely plan to look up the house on our next trip to California, would stay here again for sure!

Perfect location to enjoy the beach which is just steps away. Easy and convenient access to the bike trail that runs along the coast. The house has all needed amenities and the gated yard is perfect to hangout and have privacy. Within walking distance to plenty of restaurants in the area. Second time we stayed here. Loved it.

Adorable cozy home. We enjoyed the location right across the street from the beach. The home was stocked with necessities. The back yard was nice with the decor and lighting. The outdoor shower was great to hose down after time at the beach. Queen bed was comfortable. Towels were nice. We enjoyed playing new games that were provided. The updates to the home were nice. Thank you for a great stay Rob and Shirley.

This was my second stay at the property, and if I'm ever in Sunset Beach again, I'll stay here. Perfect for a couple that wants a snug spot. The beach is RIGHT there. I love having access to kitchen to heat up leftovers. Highly recommended!

A well-equipped and great beachside home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is right near the beach and there are plenty of tasty restaurants within walking distance. We appreciated the owners for two reasons...One, there was a small snafu when we checked in and they immediately rectified the situation. Two, instead of some VRBO rentals where, at check out after paying 150 for a cleaning fee, you are asked to clean all the dishes, strip the bed, start the laundry and take out all garbage, these owners state that "there is no check out or cleaning procedure, we want you to enjoy your time here". Awesome!

Bob was very helpful and accommodating to a check in error that i found after the fact was me not reading through the instructions thoroughly. Great little Beach home. Beach was only 42 steps away accessed by a pathway that was right beside the house Bed was Comfy, all linens clean and house was properly stocked with all you would expect and more. Perfect size for 2 ppl in the master and 1 on the sleeper sofa. Proximity was great for getting to Anaheim; about 25-30 min away from angels stadium Airport was just a little more than that during non rush hour. good proximity to restaurants, walking distance to corner store. Parking was great (close by and free). Neighborhood felt safe. Would stay again.

Perfect for a couple or family with 1-2 young kids who don’t mind a smaller space. Beach access is truly just across the street. Bean bag toss set, a few sand toys, beach chairs, and beach towels were included. My older son had a blast with the metal detector that was left for use. Adorable outdoor space with privacy fence that was more spacious than expected and we loved hearing the ocean when hanging out on the also spacious front porch. Shower was beautifully upgraded but is a small stall size as mentioned so this could be a set back for a larger person. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and location!

The property was extremely clean and comfortable. My husband and I stayed with our teen child, and we had plenty of space. We enjoyed using the grill, and outdoor space in the evening. We would definitely recommend this property to others and we will stay there again if we are back in the area.

We are so thankful we booked this place! Loved the porch to sit and people watch and drink morning coffee, the outdoor patio is perfect with an outdoor bed to lay on, table and chairs a grill and an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. The location is steps from the beach, is located in a very safe and quiet residential area. We had 2 adults and 2 teenage girls and it was perfect. We did bring a twin blow up mattress and set it up on the other side of the table and also used the pull out bed, daughter said the couch was surprisingly comfy. I do suggest if you like a dark room, bring something to hang on the window in the bedroom, the neighbors garage lights shine right through the window. Would recommend to someone looking for a nice quiet relaxing family vacation. Thank you for having us, we look forward to staying there again.

All went great. My only complaint is the mattress was very soft and felt like a canyon in the middle. Didn’t sleep well at all, but the daughter enjoyed sleeping on the couch other than that the place was very clean very cute and nice.

Absolutely beautiful beach side cottage. Very close to the sand ample parking. Inside was clean and comfortable. It was just enough for a couple and a small child for the week. We would have stayed longer however this place is no pets which we respected. The yard is a perfect place to hangout after some time on the beach. Looking forward to coming back sometime.

The cottage is clean and cute, the bed and pillows are comfortable. Access to the beach is easy and VERY close by. You can see the water from the front windows. The beach is not crowded, even on the weekends. The kitchen is well stocked. The toaster oven was a nice touch. I ate at the house most of the time, except for 2 visits to the Calico Fish House on 19th Street. There are many other restaurants in Sunset Beach, but so far Calico is my favorite. An added plus is that it is seed oil free. Seal beach is 7 minutes away with 3 blocks of shopping and eateries. Host Robert is quick to respond to any questions. I will want to stay here again.

This is a great place! Perfect for what we needed. You can literally here the water sitting on the couch! The place is meticulously cared for and the bed and couch are very comfy.

The property is even more wonderful in person! Very walkable area with plenty of restaurants, bars, coffee and convenience stores close by. The home itself is beautifully decorated and well appointed with all you could need plus a very comfy bed/soft linens. Did I mention it's right across the street from the beach?

This little cottage was perfect for me and my husband. The property had everything we needed with functional kitchen, comfortable bed and nice family room area. Best of all is we were walking on the beach in less than one minute!

They made everything they could out of the space they had. I was worried with the low sq ft of the home but I didn’t feel cramped inside with 2 adults and 2 kids. the mattress was better than mine slept great. Patio was great for eating outside. Would love to stay here again

This VRBO listing is a must stay. This is a perfect place for 2 people. It is a friendly neighborhood, ton of walkable restaurants, nice walking trail down the street that follows the beach and extremely quick beach access right out the front door. Would recommend to everyone!

My wife and I stayed for a week with our two children. The cottage is literally across the street from one of the entrance points to Sunset Beach, which makes this a fantastic location. It's probably better suited for weekend stays, however, if you have more than two people. Since it's really kind of like a studio apartment (with glass doors separating the bedroom and bathroom from the living room with pullout couch), it's much like sharing a hotel room that has a small kitchen. The outdoor shower is very handy for coming back from the beach. Not having a dishwasher or washer/dryer makes it a challenge for longer stays without a hotel staff to change out towels (or toilet paper for that matter as you'll need to bring your own for longer stays). Overall, great affordable beach cottage for either a couple or a 2 night stay with kids. For longer stays with kids, I'd spend more for a bigger place or stay at a hotel.

Cute house in an ideal beach location. The sand is right across a small street. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops around Sunset Beach and the marina. The hosts are very gracious and easy to communicate with. Absolutely loved it and hope to come back here again!

We loved our stay here. The house was perfect for the 2 of us. Less than a minute walk to the beach. Great sunset views. Property was just as it was described. Place is perfect for a couple or single surfer. Surf does not break well out front but access to HB and surrounding areas is great. Place was super clean and nice. Well equipped. Shower is tiny but great water pressure! Owners stopped by a few times changing out furniture on patio. I didn't know they were coming.overall a great place and I would stay again.

The cottage is clean and cute, the bed and pillows are comfortable. Access to the beach is easy and VERY close by. You can see the water from the front windows. The beach is not crowded, even on the weekends. The kitchen is well stocked. The toaster oven was a nice touch. I ate at the house most of the time, except for 2 visits to the Calico Fish House on 19th Street. There are many other restaurants in Sunset Beach, but so far Calico is my favorite. An added plus is that it is seed oil free. Seal beach is 7 minutes away with 3 blocks of shopping and eateries. Host Robert is quick to respond to any questions. I will want to stay here again.

Had a great time with my wife and 2 kids. A lot of time spent on the sand and water with the complimentary boogie boards. Would recommend to all. Have family and friends in the area and they want to stay there as well. The owner is awesome and had a blast!!!

A well-equipped and great beachside home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is right near the beach and there are plenty of tasty restaurants within walking distance. We appreciated the owners for two reasons...One, there was a small snafu when we checked in and they immediately rectified the situation. Two, instead of some VRBO rentals where, at check out after paying 150 for a cleaning fee, you are asked to clean all the dishes, strip the bed, start the laundry and take out all garbage, these owners state that "there is no check out or cleaning procedure, we want you to enjoy your time here". Awesome!

Bob was very helpful and accommodating to a check in error that i found after the fact was me not reading through the instructions thoroughly. Great little Beach home. Beach was only 42 steps away accessed by a pathway that was right beside the house Bed was Comfy, all linens clean and house was properly stocked with all you would expect and more. Perfect size for 2 ppl in the master and 1 on the sleeper sofa. Proximity was great for getting to Anaheim; about 25-30 min away from angels stadium Airport was just a little more than that during non rush hour. good proximity to restaurants, walking distance to corner store. Parking was great (close by and free). Neighborhood felt safe. Would stay again.

Came to California for a soccer trip at Silverlakes in Norco. This property was just what we needed to have beach time and enjoy watching our daughter play during the day. The location is the absolute best. We enjoyed morning walks along the beach, after and happy so hour drinks at local spots. So many choices for food and drinks, family friendly ones too! The patio space was amazing to chill and listen to the neighborhood or the best views from the patio when you want some sunshine, a bit of people watching and fun interacting with the neighbors and surf community. The property is even more wonderful in person! Very walkable area with plenty of restaurants, bars, coffee and convenience stores close by. The home itself is beautifully decorated and well appointed with all you could need plus a very comfy bed/soft linens. Did I mention it's right across the street from the beach?

Adorable cozy home. We enjoyed the location right across the street from the beach. The home was stocked with necessities. The back yard was nice with the decor and lighting. This is the way to enjoy Sunset Beach! This cottage is cute, cozy, and has all the comforts of home. I loved being able to cook, store food, relax in a living room, etc., all while just yards from the beachfront. I'll definitely go back again!

We have stayed at this cottage multiple times and for good reasons- location, location, location! So close to the beach and great restaurants are within walking/biking distance. The location is so close to the bike trail along the ocean and we love riding down to Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. Love the yard as a place to relax and listen to the ocean waves.

Home was pleasantly quaint. Would’ve benefited from better window coverings so sleeping in would’ve been better. Shower was fun to navigate, really needed a more flexible shower head. Other than that, everything was better than expected. Would definitely recommend it and would book again.
