Gorgeous place with an amazing, amazing view. Sparklingly clean! Hot tub was wonderful to relax in and very clean as well. My husband and I enjoyed spending a weekend here with our dogs with great hiking nearby. The closed porch gate was great for them to enjoy sniffing the air on the porch. A few things potential guests should know: Home chefs may feel limited by this kitchen as it is stocked with zero kitchen basic ingredients (not even salt or oil) and my husband was kicking himself for not bringing our own knives (knives are dangerously dull even after using sharpening stick). But it has an excellent assortment of pots, pans, grill tools. We were disappointed to see a neighbor’s confederate flag on a huge flagpole, however this is unfortunately par for the area. Future guests should know to buy basket style coffee filters on your initial grocery run or you will be spending a coffee-less first morning like me mournfully looking at the bag of coffee you can’t brew. You do not need to have a four wheel drive to get to this place which is nice (our Accord did just fine). A trip to town takes about 20 min for groceries. The chimpanzee sanctuary is only a 7 min drive away and has a fun and unique hiking experience. Many other hikes are within 30-40min. We would have loved to try the restaurant Cucina Rustica nearby but we didn’t realize they were closed the day we planned for it, so will have to try out next time. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable weekend!
