Beautifully laid out property in and out. The Jet Ski and Kayaks are top of the line and easy to use. The dock area is well thought out and in perfect condition. My only suggestion is there is no kitchen above the stove vent. We set off the smoke alarm, three days cooking bacon and or sausage. But it sure got the kiddos up and out of bed, after a good nights rest. We would love to return to this same vacation home another time.

We had a wonderful stay at this Lakehouse. The house was clean and the kitchen is spacious and well equipped for cooking. The outside area across the street is set up perfectly with plenty of seating around the fire pit - exactly as shown in the photos. Most days not a single car drove by the house, so crossing the street is not a concern at all. The dock is perfect for lounging in the sun and swimming and the lake is great for kayaking. Would definitely rent again.

We had a great time at this lake house. Highly recommend. This house was very comfortable for everyone. We loved the firepit and lights. Jetskis are a blast on the lake. Very relaxing time. We will be back!!

Perfect week spent with family and our two pooches! House had everything we needed. Location was great. Firepit and party lights kept us outside at night. We rented their jet skis which was key. We also rented a pontoon boat from Parker’s Boathouse right down the street. Grocery and liquor stores close by for quick runs. Tejay, the homeowner, was responsive and informative. Already looking at available weeks for next summer!

Our group loved our stay! The property had everything we needed and the host was very responsive. The property was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed using the grill and having dinner with a beautiful view of the lake. Sitting around the fire after dinner was a lot of fun. The outside area is beautiful. We would recommend this property!

My family (three adult couples, one infant, 3 dogs) spent a relaxing week lakeside. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms each couple had their own space. The primary bedroom upstairs had a crib set up for the infant so I didn’t need to use the pack and play or bassinet that I brought. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook each day and having use of the laundry room was helpful as we were able to use it throughout the week. The real star of the property is the patio space which is located across the (quiet and not frequently traveled) street from the home and on the waterfront. We spent most of our time outside at the fire pit or in one of the many chairs looking out over the lake. We enjoyed use of the 3 kayaks to explore the lake and had coffee each morning on the dock. There’s also a propane grill and a smaller charcoal grill available for use. An overall great spot to spend a week with family!

This property was well maintained, clean and plenty spacious. They also have a really nice entertainment area that is lakeside. (Unfortunately we weren’t able to use it as we stayed in the dead of winter) we did however enjoy the lake as we did some ice fishing with the kids. Owner was responsive and easy to work with. When we arrived we say out at the dock in the late evening and enjoyed the tranquility of both the water and the stars. Next evening we had a nice fire and a few cocktails. My wife, three adult children, and two dogs had a WONDERFUL time at this beautiful property! Clean, spacious, and tranquil—the perfect spot to get away from it all and rest. Definitely rent the jet skis! My kids were on the lake everyday! I gave “location and neighborhood” four out of five stars because, while being right on the lake was exceptional and the neighbors that I met were so nice, Shapleigh itself is in the middle of nowhere. So, if you are looking to spend some time in a cute town in Maine, dining and shopping for souvenirs, just be prepared to take a 40 minute trip into Kennebunkport—it is an adorable area with great shops! And I wholeheartedly recommend Pablo’s!!! Fantastic Mexican food and ambiance. So, overall, perfect house, perfect lake, awesome jet skiing, delightfully peaceful spot, Hannaford Supermarket very close—but be ready to hit another town if you want some cute shops and restaurants. Thank you for the wonderful rest, fun on the lake, and family memories!!!!

We visited to ice fish on Mousam Lake. We were not disappointed! Caught many fish and enjoyed the beautiful lake in the winter. House was very clean and had lots of space. Great for our group of 6. Host was very communicative and helpful! We just may be back next winter!

Spent the week in this lovely house by the lake. The weather didn't always cooperate, but when we were on the ice, the fishing was great. The house is lovely and a nice size for 6 people. Lovely little neighborhood with very little vehicle traffic in the winter. Owner is super responsive. This was our third visit to this camp for ice fishing, and all three visits were comfortable and fun!

Spent the week in this lovely house by the lake. The weather didn't always cooperate, but when we were on the ice, the fishing was great. The house is lovely and a nice size for 6 people. Lovely little neighborhood with very little vehicle traffic in the winter. Owner is super responsive. This was our third visit to this camp for ice fishing, and all three visits were comfortable and fun!

We had a great stay at the Lakehouse. The property was exactly as described. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and very responsive. The property was very clean and well cared for. Gorgeous lake views from the house. We made good use of the fire pit at night. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and had an amazing time swimming and fishing. We were a family of 5 and it fit us perfectly.

I feel taken advantage of because the owner charged an entire daily rate to check in two hours early. I still would appreciate a partial refund of the $300 plus dollars extra I paid. Communication on the owners part came off as rude and was also incorrect regarding details of the amenities in the listing. Lastly, the pictures in the listing feel somewhat deceptive as the house is not on the lakeside. There is in fact a public dirt road between the lake and the house. Having said all this, in spite of the major issues outlined above, our stay was reasonably enjoyable and the home was clean and well appointed. We loved staying at Tejay’s house. It is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The dock and sitting area/firepit are across the dirt road, but it’s quiet there, and no problem at all. We enjoyed using his kayaks and walking in the neighborhood with our 2 dogs. And, there were loons!!! We hope to rent his home again!!

My wife, three adult children, and two dogs had a WONDERFUL time at this beautiful property! Clean, spacious, and tranquil—the perfect spot to get away from it all and rest. Definitely rent the jet skis! My kids were on the lake everyday! I gave “location and neighborhood” four out of five stars because, while being right on the lake was exceptional and the neighbors that I met were so nice, Shapleigh itself is in the middle of nowhere. So, if you are looking to spend some time in a cute town in Maine, dining and shopping for souvenirs, just be prepared to take a 40 minute trip into Kennebunkport—it is an adorable area with great shops! And I wholeheartedly recommend Pablo’s!!! Fantastic Mexican food and ambiance. So, overall, perfect house, perfect lake, awesome jet skiing, delightfully peaceful spot, Hannaford Supermarket very close—but be ready to hit another town if you want some cute shops and restaurants. Thank you for the wonderful rest, fun on the lake, and family memories!!!!

Our group loved our stay! The property had everything we needed and the host was very responsive. The property was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed using the grill and having dinner with a beautiful view of the lake. Sitting around the fire after dinner was a lot of fun. The outside area is beautiful. This property was well maintained, clean and plenty spacious. They also have a really nice entertainment area that is lakeside. (Unfortunately we weren’t able to use it as we stayed in the dead of winter) we did however enjoy the lake as we did some ice fishing with the kids. Owner was responsive and easy to work with. The property was just as advertised. Clean and very spacious. The view of the lake from the house were amazing. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the setup. When we arrived we say out at the dock in the late evening and enjoyed the tranquility of both the water and the stars. Next evening we had a nice fire and a few cocktails. Just relaxing and listening to some music. We both highly recommend this property to a family/ friends or if you are just looking to spend some peaceful time with the one you love.

Beautifully laid out property in and out. The Jet Ski and Kayaks are top of the line and easy to use. The dock area is well thought out and in perfect condition. My only suggestion is there is no kitchen above the stove vent. We set off the smoke alarm, three days cooking bacon and or sausage. But it sure got the kiddos up and out of bed, after a good nights rest. We would love to return to this same vacation home another time.

We had a wonderful stay at this Lakehouse. The house was clean and the kitchen is spacious and well equipped for cooking. The outside area across the street is set up perfectly with plenty of seating around the fire pit - exactly as shown in the photos. Most days not a single car drove by the house, so crossing the street is not a concern at all. The dock is perfect for lounging in the sun and swimming and the lake is great for kayaking. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect week spent with family and our two pooches! House had everything we needed. Location was great. Firepit and party lights kept us outside at night. We rented their jet skis which was key. My family (three adult couples, one infant, 3 dogs) spent a relaxing week lakeside. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms each couple had their own space. The primary bedroom upstairs had a crib set up for the infant so I didn’t need to use the pack and play or bassinet that I brought. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook each day and having use of the laundry room was helpful as we were able to use it throughout the week. The real star of the property is the patio space which is located across the (quiet and not frequently traveled) street from the home and on the waterfront. We spent most of our time outside at the fire pit or in one of the many chairs looking out over the lake. We enjoyed use of the 3 kayaks to explore the lake and had coffee each morning on the dock. There’s also a propane grill and a smaller charcoal grill available for use. An overall great spot to spend a week with family!
