Natalie was an amazing host and an outstanding massage therapist! The highlight of the trip was an early morning couples massage while a gentle rain fell on the tin roof of the outdoor screened in porch. Her place is centrally located, very pet friendly and easy driving distance to downtown Charleston and surrounding areas. Also very close to Folly Beach and Bowens Island. She was very responsive to our requests and even gave us a late checkout. Thank you Natalie for everything! When we come back to Charleston, we’d love to stay at your place again!

Had a great time, and the space had every thing we needed. I loved the hot tub and the day bed on the porch. I want to build a deck similar on my house now!

Such a cute, romantic little property! My husband and I enjoyed the weekend here while visiting my daughter. We’ve been married 2 weeks today and visited the mountains after our wedding so this was a nice change of pace and scenery! We absolutely loved the screened in porch and hot tub! So relaxing and peaceful! The flowers and painted fence were so pretty as well. The property was well stocked and convenient to restaurants and activities. We didn’t bring our pet but it was very well equipped if we had chosen to. Will definitely recommend to others traveling to Charleston!

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our 3 day stay here. Natalie was an amazing host, she was super helpful and ensured a comfortable stay. The outdoor patio is actually screened in now with curtains for privacy and made the outdoor living space much more cozy than what the picture shows! We spent most of our evenings hanging out on the porch with the gas fire pit and it was a perfect oasis. The location is great! about 10mins from downtown Charleston and 20-30 mins from both Folly Beach and Isle of Palms! we did a lot of sightseeing and visited all 3 places and we had such an amazing time. I would absolutely come back to stay again!! :)

Everything was great! We loved our stay and experience! We got to enjoy the jacuzzi will my son napped on the patio bed. Our fur babies loved the yard and patio! They love being outdoors. We were very pleased with our stay.

My dogs absolutely loved the fenced in outdoor space! The rooms were homey and the interior was clean. The host responded promptly to texts and questions. There was a problem with the AC but the host contacted her HVAC company ASAP, got it fixed and gave us some money back. Overall, great experience and would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Bird House 3 nights after a full week on Folly Beach to extend our trip and explore Charleston more. The rental was exactly as described and we loved the vibe of the outdoor tree lined, bird and nature “sanctuary”. Two teens, two adults and our dog stayed and we did utilize the back porch sleeping arrangement for our son. He liked having the space to himself at night and it was a cool area for all of us to hang out. As described, the porch is the living room for this rental and the unit consists of two queen size bedrooms with adequate space and a small but well equipped kitchenette and a nice bathroom (with an incredible shower we loved!). My daughter and myself took advantage of the owner’s massage business on site and both had a relaxing, stress reducing massage during our stay from Natalie. She communicated well and was very friendly. There was never a problem sharing this VRBO with the owner residence attached. It felt private. Clearly a lot of work and funds have been put into this unit to make it a unique but practical place to stay and have access to many Charleston areas in minutes. The fenced in area was nice for our dog to have room to move around worry free and not be leashed. We explored downtown Charleston and visited Sullivans Island during our stay. We already miss our morning coffee on the back patio as well!

Super grateful to be able to bring my pup on my vacation! The home was cute, pet friendly, and super comfortable! Really enjoyed the outdoor, closed-in deck that leads to the fenced-in back yard - would definitely stay here again!!

One of the best short term rentals I’ve stayed in! Check-in couldn’t have been simpler, and the place itself is terrific. It was great for our two bulldogs - especially the screened-in porch area that stayed cool enough for them to hang out in all day. Lots of bugs but that’s just Charleston. Everything was clean and the space is very well-supplied. Would stay there again 100%.

My dog and I were only there for one night, but it was absolutely perfect for the both of us. Very peaceful, private and relaxing location. The screened porch and fenced in back yard were perfect for my dog to safely enjoy while I was out for business meetings. An easy 1 minute drive to enjoy some Home Team BBQ, complete with good food, good tunes and some pretty awesome Widespread Panic and Grateful Dead memorabilia on the walls. I will definitely look to book again one day. Natalie was awesome.

I was hoping to be able to sleep outside, but the mattress was too hard for me. The location was nice. It was close to the beach and Charleston. The only things that would keep me from coming back are the pressure of the shower, it was way too intense and the tub didn’t drain quick enough. The smell was musky and not the most pleasant.

My family stayed at The Bird's Nest for a quick vacation to Charleston. It is an adorable cottage connected to the owner's home. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Natalie had plenty of supplies including k-cups, cofee creamer, towels, and a pantry stocked with things you might need such as soap, lotion, etc. She quickly answered any questions I had. It was well decorated and cozy. My favorite thing was the futon on the screened in porch. We didn't have the best weather but it was nice to relax and lay on the porch and listen to the rain. We would definitely return.

Very clean and private. The host was very accommodating. It is a very relaxing and charming property. The only negative thing I have to say is, I would have liked the gate to be able to lock. I definitely would recommend.

This is an older home that has been renovated and is a mix of old (bathroom) and new floors, finishes, etc. My main concern was that it was a house divided into back and front, with the owners living in the front. Only separated by an adjoining door. Just my personal preference but I prefer a separate space. The porch is nice but be aware it is the only place to sit and socialize. Inside the home is only bedrooms, bathroom, shared laundry and the tiny kitchen. Evening drinks on the patio were quite chilly even with the heaters on. Would be a great space especially in the warm weather. Mildew smell when you walk in. Kitchen area is very small. Really only enough space to cook single meals or toast and coffee.

This was my best experience in Charleston besides the food.The host was amazing at helping with anything we needed and my car wouldn't start The last day visiting but he was there to help.This is The only place I would stay in Charleston.The outside living room was the cherry on top.

It is a special little place, in the sense that it does feel private and cozy. It is an old neighborhood so we weren't comfortable walking around after dark . It is a very convenient location if your're driving to the places you plan to go to. I love that they allow dogs of any size, we have a Bernese Mt. Dog and many properties don't allow over 40lbs. The fenced in area was perfect for letting her out at night. And the screened porch is great.....nice set up We were only there for two nights, but we will go back again, hopefully when it's cooler

We had a very enjoyable stay in West Ashley. It is a good location and not far from just about everything. The house is comfy and clean. The screened in porch is a very nice amenity. The shower had very good water pressure. The host was very responsive and provided essential informatio about our stay. We would book through them again if we were to go back to the area.
