Stayed 3 nights

Our stay was good and here are some points for the future guests:1. Xbox was there and our teen kids enjoyed a lot.2. Dishwaser was not working and it leaked water when we used. We informed the host and he said he will take care. Luckily, turned it on when we were inside the house and so try dishwasher or washer when you are inside the property.3. The last one mile way to the house is unpaved and curvy. We had our tire flat and so please be prepared for that. It was a Saturday and we couldn't find anyone repairing the flat tire and luckily Les Schwab store is there at Redding and another place (40 miles away) and we took our car there for flat tire repair. 4.House stocked with kitchen items, soap and bed sheets.Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we enjoyed.

Stayed 8 nights

We stayed at this property for a week and overall enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, quiet, easy to access, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the mountain views, seeing the lights from I-5 in the distance at night, and especially hearing the train whistle from afar. However, several aspects did not match the listing. The deck photos appear outdated, as the deck no longer looks like the pictures shown online. Several boards were lifting, there were a few holes, and guests should use caution when walking barefoot. The two white outdoor chairs were weathered, warped, and unstable due to stripped screws. The hammock shown in the photos was also not present. There was a newer round fire table on the deck, which made a nice gathering spot for meals and card games. The listing advertises air conditioning, but it is actually a swamp cooler. During our stay, the house became quite warm at night, even with the three portable fans provided. While the listing mentions room for boats, RVs, and other toys, much of the property is sloped. The final mile of road is steep, winding, and partially unpaved, which could make maneuvering larger trailers challenging.Overall, we enjoyed the peaceful setting, comfortable accommodations, and beautiful views, but feel the listing photos and description should be updated to better reflect the property's current condition and amenities.

The listing was accurate and the host was very attentive to our communications and questions. The place was a very nice place for peace and quiet time. The weather was active while we were there, but the host checked in on us and made sure everything went well.
