We enjoyed the secluded setting and with all the various buildings, we were curious about its history. Was it a farm at one time? When was it built? It was a good location for us with proximity to hiking and outdoor activities. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and appreciated the gas grill. Saw a group of wild turkeys from the kitchen window. The house was older and rustic, but was mostly clean. The kitchen sink appeared dirty, but after wiping it out we realized it was just scuffed due to age. The king sized bed was soft and not comfortable. Kitchen counters are unusually tall and was hard to reach more than the first shelf of the kitchen cabinets. There was mouse dirt on the kitchen window sill and in the silverware drawer when we arrived. I understand it is a rural setting and was prepared to have "visitors" but was surprised to find droppings first thing. There was a leak above the kitchen sink during a heavy rain which I reported. Overall it was a good spot for us and we enjoyed our stay.

AHHHHMAZING!!! Our first time camping in Ohiopyle was beyond expectations! The Pura Vida house was beyond what we thought we were renting - HUGE, BEAUTIFUL, PRIVATE retreat minutes from everything we wanted to experience. White water rafring, fishing, hiking, shopping and hanging out around the fire and in the hot tub more than filled our days. We literally started planning to come back next year on the first day.

Stayed here with a group of friends for our OhioPyle vacation. A few minutes from everything but also feels like you're in the middle of the woods. The hot tub was a great way to warm up after a day of rafting. House was well appointed. Would definitely stay again.

I wanted to take my sister to Falling Waters and stayed here for two nights; I wish it had been longer. The drive there was wonderful, and the directions were spot on. The place is so spacious and comfortable (there were nine of us!). We were lucky that there was light snowing almost the whole time we were there! The kitchen has everything you need (except food of course), enough towels and beds for everyone. The hot tub outside while it was snowing was a highlight for me, so relaxing! Wish the inside fireplace worked but there is a firepit outside (we didn't use it, the temperature inside was perfect). There are board games and TVs. Washer and Dryer (we didn't use it). Definitely recommend!

The house is a beautiful old home located deep in the woods in Ohiopyle State Park. It had a few out building you can explore with your eyes and nature all around for long walks. We were within 10 minutes drive of both Frank Loyd Wright homes that are open to the public and the borough of Ohiopyle.

Very clean and well maintained. Only issue was the one family member has mobility issues, so you may consider adding some more equipment to accommodate such as a safety bar in the bathrooms and maybe a ramp of some sort for people with these issues to get in and out more easily Hot tub was great and in good repair

GREAT! House was clean, kitchen fully stocked( crockpot!). Everything i needed to prepare food for 12 people! Fire ring right off porch was perfect location. Extremely private.....no neighbors. Plenty of sleeping room. Master is very large and offers plenty of floor space. Property beautiful with lots of great picture opportunities. Would 100% recommend

The house was beautiful! Very clean, if yor looking for a secluded stay thats the place to be. The hot tub was great , a couple jets weren't working but not a big deal other than that there were no problems. We definitely recommend that house and look forward to renting again. Thank you! 😊

Overall the property was amazing. Well secluded but lots to do within a few miles. This is out in the woods so you can expect low water pressure. When we first arrived the upstairs smelled like sewage but the area recently got a lot of rain and as soon as we started using the water/drains in went away. This place is spacious and worked perfect for our aunt/niece getaway! Very cozy and the beds were very comfortable! This house had everything basic you needed down to some shampoo and soap!

We really enjoyed our stay, very few complaints.The tap water has a strong rust smell & taste, which is common when on a well, but a couple of gallons of Spring water would be great! There were only three of us, so we each had our own bedroom, one of my criteria. Next trip to Ohiopyle, would probably go with something smaller. My son is planning a gathering of friends and is going to consider this property.

Reviewer Comments: A rustic exterior and interior, all you can hope for in a private mountain home, but completely updated, and if you're a clean freak, you're coming to the right place. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of counterspace, a huge sink, good appliances, etc. Bathrooms are sizable and clean. The upstairs shower trickles, and the shower faucet feels like it's going to break any moment, if I had one complaint... Except for towels and bed stuff, if you want it, you better bring it with you...the only thing that was there was salt & bring your own TP, coffee filters, hand soap, everything...don't say I didn't warn you. Without question I would stay here again and again, though. The pictures on the web site don't do it justice. Great flow, spacious, and the layout allows for excellent entertainment if you have a big group. Oh, and I suggest you post a picture of the fire pit and its proximity to the is a nice feature, and you should highlight it.

Great place to stay! Would definitely go back. Large home with good amenities and a nice yard for outdoor activities. Super private location, which was exactly what we were looking for. Host was responsive to our inquiries before and during our stay. Overall, one of the nicest places we have ever stayed for vacation!

The cabin was beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary cooking utensils, pots and pans as well as dish cloths, bath towels and wash cloths. Everything was just as described. The front porch is very nice to sit out front in the morning, have some coffee and just relax. The cabin is close to activities yet very isolated and private. Overall, a great place to stay and enjoy nature! I was there with three other buddies on a college reunion get away (year 40!) and we had a great time.

Great place to stay! Would definitely go back. Large home with good amenities and a nice yard for outdoor activities. Super private location, which was exactly what we were looking for. Loved how cozy this property was. Clean, beds were comfortable and great location to visit Fallingwater. We had a hard time figuring out how to use the dishwasher (of all things), we called and someone was there to help us out within a half hour. Only minor disadvantage is that the counters in the kitchen are very high and I am short. Thank heaven one of our friends is tall and she reached the dishes and glasses for the rest of us. Lol.

It was exactly as listed on the site, I experienced some inclement weather during my stay but they provided us with salt and a snow shovel. The cabin was well heated and had good hot water so I had a great time during my stay, would definitely love to come back at some point in the future.

Two families with 6 children aging between 8-17 stayed here for three nights. We liked the location and large property. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking all our meals at home. Stayed here with a group of friends for our OhioPyle vacation. A few minutes from everything but also feels like you're in the middle of the woods. The hot tub was a great way to warm up after a day of rafting. House was well appointed. Would definitely stay again.

The house is a beautiful old home located deep in the woods in Ohiopyle State Park. It had a few out building you can explore with your eyes and nature all around for long walks. We were within 10 minutes drive of both Frank Loyd Wright homes that are open to the public and the borough of Ohiopyle.

The cabin was beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary cooking utensils, pots and pans as well as dish cloths, bath towels and wash cloths. Everything was just as described. The front porch is very nice to sit out front in the morning, have some coffee and just relax. The cabin is close to activities yet very isolated and private. Overall, a great place to stay and enjoy nature! I was there with three other buddies on a college reunion get away (year 40!) and we had a great time.

We enjoyed the peacefulness of the location and the comfort of this beautiful house. It is spacious, clean while it shows that many have enjoyed it over the years. A few things were missing in the kitchen that should have been there in a house that is far away from any store: dishwashing brush or sponges, salt and oil and a few spices. We have left what we bought as well as sugar and coffee filters for the next visitors to enjoy.

I wanted to take my sister to Falling Waters and stayed here for two nights; I wish it had been longer. The drive there was wonderful, and the directions were spot on. The place is so spacious and comfortable (there were nine of us!). We were lucky that there was light snowing almost the whole time we were there! The kitchen has everything you need (except food of course), enough towels and beds for everyone. The hot tub outside while it was snowing was a highlight for me, so relaxing! Wish the inside fireplace worked but there is a firepit outside (we didn't use it, the temperature inside was perfect). There are board games and TVs. Washer and Dryer (we didn't use it). Definitely recommend!

GREAT! House was clean, kitchen fully stocked( crockpot!). Everything i needed to prepare food for 12 people! Fire ring right off porch was perfect location. Extremely private.....no neighbors. Plenty of sleeping room. Master is very large and offers plenty of floor space. Property beautiful with lots of great picture opportunities. Would 100% recommend

Very nice spot, one of the better supplied kicthens I have seen in a short-term rental with decent appliances. And yes the counters are all bar-height, but it wasn't an issue for us. One thing that I didn't realize was that the wood-stove is only decorative, so if you want a fire, it is outside.
