My family really enjoyed the time we spent together in this cute Victorian house. At the last minute one of my sister's couldn't make the trip with the rest of us so we down-sized to this 4 bedroom home in Fortville. The house was very cozy and we loved the idea of being able to walk downtown. We enjoyed the Taxman, a local bar/brewery and we even found a garage sale at the American Legion. The weather was gorgeous and it was so nice to have chairs out on the deck when we played yard games. Our host, Angi, was very helpful and replied quickly when I let her know that I couldn't find where to add a dog into the reservation. She also texted me to see if we had any questions before our arrival. I loved how friendly Angi was. When I suggested that a flickering lamp in one of the bedrooms might be possessed, she played along. I would definitely recommend this home for a small group!

Our visit was for a family wedding. The location was very convenient to most of the areas we traveled to. We did have some minor issues when we first got to the house, but the hostess, Angi, was very helpful, professional and was able to get those issues resolved quickly. The house is located very close to the railroad tracks and trains do come through often, but it was tolerable. The house is older, dark inside and the stairs are VERY creaky. Additionally some of the doors were quite "sticky" so they were loud in the middle of the night if someone got up. In general the house could use some maintenance.Honestly, the house had everything we needed and was affordable. The beds were comfortable, the water was nice and hot and water pressure was fantastic, the kitchen was well-equipped with a variety of coffee pots, dishes, utensils, etc. There were also a wide array of games, books and DVDs which was very nice to see as we have stayed in other rentals that did not have anything like that. The downtown area has some fun little shops and restaurants. The closest grocery store is only a few miles away.Overall, we were pleased with our stay.
