everything was great... the entire facility was nice and clean, the gym fantastic. My only complaint was the $11 tap beer in the restaurant, and it was a wasn't even a Heineken!

Overall, we had a great stay for the ECU vs UNCC game! We enjoyed the pool with our kids and tailgating in the room before the game. Super convenient to accessing UNCC and surrounding area. A couple things to note: room was very dusty-most likely from down pillows. The water was always warm in the sink and got extremely hot. Restaurant was very slow for breakfast and kids portions were the same aa adult portions for cheaper price. Food was delicious though!

You must pay $15 a night for parking. Also the fire alarm went off while we were there. Thank goodness it was a false alarm. Wife didn't like the fact there's no bathroom in the room.

This is a convenient hotel for UNCC parents to drop off kids at college. However the 2 issues were charges for parking and daily charges for internet use. The parking is across the street and it’s not a fixed daily charge. You have to pay every time you drive in and out of the parking garage. The Internet charge is $10 per day per device. I was charged and once I reviewed the bill- they took the charge off. I think both charges are exorbitant. Also, we had the fire alarm go one night that we were there and the whole property had to be evacuated and checked by firemen. The room close to us on the 6th floor had water gushing out of the overhead pipe and flood their room and the hallway. So overall though it is a great property, there’s issues that need to be rectified.

You have to pay daily for parking. The restaurant on site is quite expensive and offers no perks to guest staying at the hotel. The bar was more expensive than south beach in Miami. The fridge in the room was broken but thank God I brought a cooler. The ac would not go down. If you let them park your car be prepared to not have easy access to said car.

Staff is excellent, very professional and friendly. The valet guys were so fast retrieving my car even in the rain. Property is clean and updated. Bed was super comfortable. My only complaint is having to pay for parking but that seems to be the norm at any hotel these days.

The Marriott was very clean, quiet, the staff was very professional and polite. We parked in the parking deck of UNCC. It was close to different dinning areas, its about 10 mins from the PNC Pavillion. I will definitely come back.

Customer service was awful. When I tried to speak with a manager about it, there was never one on duty. Dirty sheets in the room. Rooms were not ready on time. Staff had an attitude (Lajcia) when asked why the room wasnt ready and why when it was, we didnt recieve a call or for them to let us know (we were in the lobby).

I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 or 4 times now and each time I like it. However, I notice that there were stains on the pillows and sheets the past two times I’ve stayed. I’ve also noticed that there’s certain things in some rooms like the small mirrors and they weren’t in my room the last time I stayed. I do enjoy staying here and I will continue to do so.

The property is noisy, I can hear guest talking and walking by my room. I can also hear the train going by the property. I could hear the doors opening and closing. I could also hear guest walking above me. I will never stay at this property again. One of the lounge chair was broken.

Location was very good as we wanted to be close to the UNCC campus with easy driving access to highways. Front desk and valet parking service was excellent. Access to satisfactory public dining options was a short walk from the hotel. The only real negative was lack of working hotel Wi-Fi internet access for our cell phones.

The overall experience was great, however the thermostat in the room would not stay set. We contacted the front desk, and they sent maintenance up to change the air filter that helped some because the filter looked as though it had not been changed in months. However, the thermostat continued to change, and it would not remain on the set temperature.

We absolutely love the location of the hotel. The walk score should be 100! The bartender Savanah was such a joy! The only downside is the draft in the rooms caused there to be a weird sound all through the day and night. But that's a small complaint to the overall stay! I arrived a girlfriend and left a fiancé! Greatest weekend of my life.

The staff was really smart and polite. The restaurant service and food were excellent. The only complaint would be that my room on the 7th floor was near the elevator, and it made a lot of noise. Also, the wood fire smoke from the pizza oven in the restaurant made my room smell like a smokehouse a little bit. Not enough to make my clothes smell, but it was noticeable. They might need to make a change to the ventilation system. It didn't bother me too much, but I know my wife wouldn't have liked it.

During our stay we had fire alarm gone off four time at odd hours. One of my family member is wheel chair bound and we had informed this to the hotel, despite knowing this none of the staff ever called to offer help during evacuation calls. The hotel does not have any provision or SOP to evacuate the guest. So far so the reception team members were the first people to run away from their desk instead of taking care of the guest, when the alarms went off. You are off you own when you stay with them.

We had a great stay! We got to check in a little earlier than expected thanks to the wonderful front desk staff. We also went to the bar and had a great time, and awesome service by Q, I believe - not sure if that’s how you spell it but she was great. The rooms were clean, and valet was fast and attentive.

I stayed here on 2/17. I had to wait two hours because my room wasn't ready on time. The gentleman at the front desk took down my number and said he would call me when the room was ready. He never called. I sat around waiting for two hours then I had to return to the desk to find out the room was already ready he just never called to tell me. He said he would add 10,000 points for my Marriott member account to make up for the wait. He lied again, he never added the points. I asked the lady about the points when I checked out in the morning. She told me she added them to my member account. She lied as well, she never added the points. They were completely unprofessional and dishonest.

We booked our room two weeks ago for a one night stay 8/17/24. We arrived at 5:10 to find out our room wasn’t ready. There was a lot of people in the lobby also waiting. Apparently they over booked Friday and they didn’t have the rooms clean. We waited and waited. They ended up giving us a different room with just one bed and it was four of us. We finally got a room at 7:40 and caused us to be late to our concert. The next morning we went to the lobby and wanted to discuss on an agreement about the room and a possible refund of some sort. The young lady at the lobby said we would have to speak to the manager who wasn’t there and told us to check again after 10 am we did and she still wasn’t there.

Hotel is still newer and not tun down at all. Great location to blue line & it was very clean. Will definitely stay there again in the future! Only thing was had to pay for parking but it was close by so not a huge deal.

This hotel is in a class above all others in the area. If you are in University City area, no other hotel can compete. It has very good restaurant and nice bar, conference center. Worth a few extra bucks for cleanliness and resort style bathrooms alone.

Came in for a Wedding and could’ve chosen a nicer place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Food was fresh and good, Starbucks was good and everyone working at the hotel was extremely friendly and attentive.

Very nice hotel. We were there for my son's orientation at UNC-Charlotte. Impressed with the overall experience. Place was full with a number of events going on. Bar and restaurant area is comfortable and fun. Had dinner there one night distant not expect it to be as good as it was. It was excellent actually. Service was great. Bar tender was an amazing gentleman but he needs help on nights that were as busy as it was! Worked his tail off! Only downside was that I was told that breakfast was free as a Bonvoy Silver Elite member and didn't recieve a voucher to use the following morning and then we didn't have time to retrieve the voucher and then sit down to a breakfast with a server (thought it was a buffet to grab and go situation). Small issue but something that could be learned from. Will go back for sure and am already booked for Family Weekend
