This property is very clean and well cared for. The reason we chose it was because it is 30 minutes from Madison and 30 minutes from Governor Dodge State Park and House On the Rock. We stayed with my family of 8 and everyone had enough room. It has a hair salon on the front of the house that we were not expecting, so it is not quite the square footage that you think when you see the outside of the house. The salon was not a problem and was never disruptive to our stay. The house is close to downtown Mount Horeb. Overall, I would highly recommend this house.

What a terrific week! Home was incredibly well-equipped and cozy. We loved walking into town for drinks, dinner, & shopping. Perfect location for hiking adventures as well as the Cave, breweries, wineries, International Crane Foundation, Big Cat rescue place, Madison, and more. Host was so communicative and helpful with a small issue. Note that living room is small and there is a salon attached to front which was not in listing. Never had issues with the salon, but we were surprised by it. Main level mattress was oddly uncomfortable (could be an easy update) but upstairs was great. Kitchen has everything!

It was a wonderful, updated home, and walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Kitchen had everything we needed, bathroom had fluffy towels, and bedrooms were comfortable. It's a really nice place! We called it our "salon home" because there's a salon attached to the front of the rental. I didn't see that in the description so when we pulled up we were confused. We did NOT experience any smells or noise from the salon, so don't let that prevent your stay. The door to the salon locks from the salon side. I would suggest a slide lock in addition for guest while they are there. It would have made my husband sleep better knowing we could lock all the doors. However, it's a family operated business so that's more comforting at night when there no customers in the building. Thank you for sharing your rental with us.

The property was as advertised. It was cute and made good use of the space available. Not overly spacious but we were comfortable with four adults. The “rules” were very clearly posted and were more than reasonable. The only feedback I would give is that it didn’t appear to have the floors well swept and countertops wiped, nor the toilets cleaned. However, they weren’t filthy by any means. Just needed to have a quick cleanup. The linens were all nice and easily accessible. We would stay again.

The house was a lot smaller than it looks online. Very nicely done, but small. Wish the living room was bigger. I'd like to suggest putting caulking in front of the upstairs shower. No matter how hard I tried water got on the floor, it will get moldy if you don't put caulk in there.

We came to Mount Horeb to stay here with my family of four (two teens) and brother and sister in-law for a wedding in Madison. This place was absolutely gorgeous. The place was well stocked with everything needed for our stay, including cleaners, paper products,and shower shampoo and conditioner. The place was extremely clean with all updated appliances, and plenty of dishes and matching plates and silverware. With brand new washer and dryer and matching blankets sheets and towels. The room layout was one bedroom downstairs, and two bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom on each floor, it was perfect for our family of four and another couple. The place is located right on Main street within walking distance to all the local shops. The town is quiet and quaint, and everything shuts down by 7 or 8pm. The ac and heat units are individually operated by each room which gave each room a very comfortable space for temperature. Our hostess Melissa was very welcoming and responsive to anything needed as she lives locally. I would highly recommend this place to stay. It was very comfortable for 6 of us.

We very much enjoyed our stay! The house is clean and comfortable. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect, right in town. The host was very helpful and easy to reach. I would highly recommend staying here, I hope to be able to stay again!

The home was very clean and well kept. The upstairs bedrooms were larger than expected. We could even fit a pack in play in the one with two beds. Great location, walking distance to downtown, restaurants and shopping. We stay at many VRNO’s, this is one of the nicest.

This Mt. Horeb WI home has been renovated with exquisite attention to detail to make our stay a true pleasure. The kitchen fully supports cooking and dining, with an ample stock of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and flatware, along with both a Keurig and regular coffee maker for caffeine lovers. Refrigerator and dishwasher are new. Everything has been fully renovated, including two new bathrooms. Our comfort was assured. Thank you, Melissa!

Thoroughly enjoyed our girls weekend at this great little VRBO. Very clean and well equipped. Nice location - easy walk of just a block or two to Mount Horeb's restaurants and shops. One thing I would like others who are considering this property to be aware of is that the living space is rather small. If you envision spending your time here playing games/eating/crafting around a big table this will not be a good choice for you. If it is simply to be a home base for exploring the area it will be PERFECT! Met the needs of 5 ladies well.

This property was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 children in Mt. Horeb for a wedding. The home was exactly as shown and was fully stocked with typical house hold items, so food and drinks were all we needed to have (coffee was provided)! Melissa was very responsive to any questions. The town is so quaint, especially the troll scavenger hunt. This was such a better choice over getting 3 hotel rooms and more economical! If you're in the area, please consider staying here. You will not be disappointed!!

They charged me extra after 2 people, with the house having 3 bedrooms and 4 beds. I think that is insane with having rooms to accommodate atleast 3 people. They also messaged me the extra charge while I was there staying, which didn’t sit well with me either.

We were participating in the Horribly Hilly Hundred bike ride and needed a nice place to stay that wasn't a hotel where the teenagers could have their own room. The house was really comfortable and clean and accommodated the four of us really well. There was a snafoo with teenagers locking themselves out but someone was able to come soon and help them get in. Very happy with our stay!

This is a very cute place in a perfect location. We were blocks away from downtown with cute shops and restaurants. The kitchen was stocked with lots of spices and everything we needed to fix amazing meals.
This is a very cute place in a perfect location. We were blocks away from downtown with cute shops and restaurants. The kitchen was stocked with lots of spices and everything we needed to fix amazing meals.

We really enjoyed our two night stay. We were in town for a family wedding and staying at Melissa’s was so much better than a hotel. It had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed being right downtown. Definitely recommend!!!

This house is in a great location which is close to shopping and restaurants. It is very clean and beautiful. Wonderful updated amenities. The whole house is a very comfortable environment. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family. Kristen

Girls weekend was such a success! This home is within walking distance to a perfect cider place and fun shops. We loved it! Only 25 minutes to downtown Madison!

Beautifully remodeled home located right in the middle of Mt Horeb, a 5 Minute walk to restaurants downtown, we stayed while skiing at Tyrol which is only a 10 min drive. Very comfortable house with everything you need, will definitely plan to stay again!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The house is clean and comfortable. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect, right in town. The host was very helpful and easy to reach. I would highly recommend staying here, I hope to be able to stay again!

The home was very clean and well kept. The upstairs bedrooms were larger than expected. We could even fit a pack in play in the one with two beds. Great location, walking distance to downtown, restaurants and shopping. We stay at many VRNO’s, this is one of the nicest.

Location is easy walking distance to downtown restaurants and bike path and church. Sleeps 6 easily. Supermarket 5 minute drive away. Tight showers, by clean! Well equipped kitchen. No real dining area- breakfast bar and pull out table.

What an excellent location! A easy stroll to the downtown hustle & bustle. It is on a busy street, but we didn’t notice being the location is on the backside of the house. Clean, crisp & easy to communicate with!
