Legendary Waters Resort & Casino

Great property! Very clean and the pool and hot tub were amazing. The only thing not so great in my experience is that I went down to the lobby and waited about 35 minutes for someone to come to the desk. They had pulled the phone off the base so I couldn’t even call the front desk if I wanted to either.

The resort is falling apart. No landscape, lots of weeds and garbage and the marina is full of garbage. Hot tub jets don’t work, restaurant service very slow, thing broken in room. Very sad since in a beautiful area

Last two times we stayed here the pool and hot tub were closed. No offer for discount to compensate. You could see the indentations on both sides of the bed. Definitely need replacing.

Room was clean and comfy. I liked that it had a walk out patio. The pool could use some cleaning and the hot tub didn't work. .

The poor and outdoor area was dirty. We stopped counting at 64 spiders in the pool area. The outdoor area was covered with bird poo. We had to wait several times for someone to come to the front desk for assistance.

Very pricey for what you get. Room was nice and clean. The pool was awful, dumpy, not clean, and spiders. Disrespectful, rowdy kids, would be nice if at night there could be adult only. We liked the patio and bar, nice casino but we don't gamble. The big disappointment they advertise a restaurant but it is closed. No contenintal

I book this room because it stated that there was a hot tub and pool. When we checked in there was a sign saying that it was "temporarily close". We walked pass the pool it was being used as a storeage room. Looked like it had been close for awhile!

I liked that the room was quiet and there was coffee available downstairs. I felt the room was overpriced even for the summer season. I stayed 3 nights & NO ONE ever came in my room to change towels, refill coffee or take out trash. I went to reception to get coffee for the machine and to replace the empty tissue box. AND there was no breakfast included-shocking!

The room smelt musty. I’m not sure if people are smoking in there or what. Only one small bar of soap. The restaurant was closed for some reason. The food at the snack bar was disgusting. I didn’t even eat it.

1st..we had to go back down to the desk THREE times to ge our room key to work before we could get in out room. 2nd..We had a coffee maker in the bathroom but NO COFFEE!3rd..When they came and made our room they left all the trash we had out and a left us 1 towel.. One more thing..in the shower was someone's soap scrunchie and shampoo from the previous one that had that room. For the price we paid it was VERY DISAPPOINTING!

The room was severely outdated and had stains various places. The shower was gross. I didn’t take my shoes off once while there.

The room was fine. Overall clean, but there was visible mold in the ceiling of the shower stall. The hotel was VERY understaffed, so the restaurant wasn't open, room was minimally cleaned (only emptied trash and dropped off fresh towels). Many times there was nobody at the front desk to answer phone or help out with anything. The people that were there were very nice, just not often there.

Our room was very spacious and clean. The staff were very pleasant and responsive.

I want to start this review by saying, a few staff members 'got it' and responded when I said I was going to call Expedia to complain. Issues: 1. We stayed three nights. Upon check in we looked over the room and immediately asked that someone clean up the black mold in the shower. I even shared my cleaning hacks to make it a quick job. Nothing was done. 2. Day 2: Beds were not made, towels were not replaced. I found the linen room to grab additional bath towels. Black mold remained. 3. Day 3: I lost it. Garbage was not removed, no coffee replaced to make coffee. Beds not made, towels not refreshed. No toiletries replaced. Finally the new gal of three days (desk clerk) went to our room and did what she could. Black mold remained. This was absolutely not a good travel experience. We left at 0800 Saturday to people apologizing, but it was all too late. They need to staff up and do their jobs. Disappointed Lana Cramer I have a long history of working through Expedia and this was the worst experience I ever had. We left at 0800 on Saturday, and drove straight through to Milwaukee. New, well kept up, clean

The room was a good fit for two people. The coffee was great. The beds were comfortable.

We had a king suite, Lakeview & really liked it. Good view , roomy, clean and quiet. Will probably return

Room was ok for a quick stop overnight

The price is is one of the lowest near Bayfield. The rooms are spacious with high end fixtures. We enjoyed the view of the marina and Lake Superior from our room

The stay was great, very quiet. The room was beautiful and spacious. The only problem were the flies! We killed at least 15 flies, of all sizes. We would stay there again with a fly swatter! LOL

Bed was comfortable.

Check in took over 45 minutes. No one was at the desk and there seemed to be no urgency at all for them to check in. Our room door to the patio was broken so we couldn’t even use the patio.

Nice view from the room and good coffee in the room.

The hotel/resort is in a perfect location and right by the water. The room we picked had a view of the lake with many windows. The casino is a plus if you like to test your luck and the dining area had good options (portions) for breakfast (did not try dinner). The hotel is 10 minutes away from the marina in Bayfield and I highly recommend the boat tour to the Apostle Islands.

Staff was very friendly. Clean rooms and area. Staff always asked if we needed anything. I would recommend this hotel.

Did not get the room's I reserved and paid for. Front desk staff very rude. Said you get what they give you for a room the tribe comes first for patio or balcony rooms. Staff said if you want that type of room regardless what you paid for online you should have booked directly with them. Bathroom dirty towels left on the floor. Front desk refused to have someone come clean it up due to it was the staff Halloween party going on and did not have time they said put them in the hallway and they would get in the morning. Staff members drunk and obnoxious outside and inside the place. Same front desk staff the next day and very rude to people and making rude comments when people would walk by the front desk. Will

Receptionist was horrible. Insulted basically everyone who comes in the place. Told us she didnt care for any tourists. Well it was our first ever visit. Thats us i guess. I The property is on the red cliff reservation, which is not revealed. It states Bayfield. Its not. We left the very next day. I am a disabled veteran of 34 yrs. I will never use expedia or stay at a native American property again. I will not abide with any disrespect or insults by someone who treats me or my minority wife with such distain. Immediately. Expedia sucks and so do the staff at your property.

Nice motel located on the shores of Lake Superior.

I've stayed here 2 times and have only been happy with my stay. The location is fabulous with sweeping views of Lake Superior all around. I feel that it is an excellent value for what you get compared to other hotels and inns on the water. The staff has always been friendly and I find the size of the property charming. It is not a typical large casino resort but I appreciate ease of getting around, location and personable staff. I made an error when booking my room that they were extremely willing to work with me on and even booked it through a 3rd party. I will definitely stay here again...without hesitation!

Excellent location for Apostle Islands visit and Bayfield. Price was great compared to other hotels and the casino is small but fun. Excellent bad tenders.

there was black mold in the shower, the restaurant was closed every time we looked,we never did get to eat in there, and the snack bar was out of fish, broasted chicken and pizza, and most of the time it was closed. Be it the hotel desk, the players club or the cashiers desk they were closed, and you had to wait for them to come back. The workers that we did come in contact with were very nice and friendly.

Overall this place is perfect for the price. The Food and service in the entire hotel was outstanding. Very welcoming. The Grill diner had very good food. The chicken was outstanding. Rooms were clean.

The hotel and staff were great! The restaurant/dinning facilities were not open very often and not when people usually eat. They didn't open until 8a.m and closed at 3pm on a holiday weekend.

We had one small packet for shampoo and one small bar of soap. I asked at the desk for more soap and I was told they had none. Both the restaurant an$ snack bar were closed Sunday evening. My wife enjoyed the casino.

Advertised for jetted tub and paid extra for a room with this upgrade, but after we checked in we found a sign near the tub saying the jets aren't working but use it as a regular bathtub. If people are paying extra for this, and you are letting them book without knowing, this is really shady. Hotel restaurant was not available on Mondays and was told it was closed the following day as well. Morning customer service person couldn't be bothered to look at me when I greeted her. Bed had pillows were flat. Lots of little stuff just not addressed. TP holder falls off the mount when you use it, for example. Would not stay here again, not impressed with anything at this hotel.

View of Lake Superior and patio were excellent. Room was nice and spacious. Snack bar food was tasty and reasonably priced. Restaurant was closed both evenings. No pool towels available and mattress was hard/old were the negatives.

Everything was amazing, but restaurant was closed for the week. Would have been nice if we knew that ahead of time.

Very nice rooms for the rate we paid in early April ($100 approx). Nice view of the bay. Friendly staff. Ate at restaurant and staff was nice and doing their best. My ribeye was excellent and my wife’s sirloin was shoe leather. Odd.

The food was delicious at the restaurant and the staff was always friendly. The view from our room and from the lake was unbeatable. Will definitely be returning.
