We loved that the cabin was located near all the things we had planned for our trip. It had everything we needed, it was clean and comfortable! We enjoyed the fireplace and grill, it was peaceful, private, and exactly what we needed for our anniversary! Wayne is very nice. He gave us some dining suggestions and information helpful to our stay. We absolutely plan to stay here again.

Dennis, our friendly and exceptional host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. He thoughtfully provided firewood and lighter fluid for the fireplace, and there are plenty of comfortable chairs in the outdoor sitting area. As the cabin is situated near a farm, you may occasionally hear the soothing sounds of cow calls from your room. Additionally, Dennis has even created a small hiking trail in the vicinity, allowing you to explore the area's natural beauty. This cabin was a fun stay for us with our dog. Super clean, well stocked with all the essentials and plenty of space to roam. The bed was really comfortable and the linens were very nice. The added bonus of a HUGE covered porch with fireplace made it easy to spend lots of time outdoors. The property is secluded at the top of a steep rise in the hillside with a nice view of the farm and countryside below. The walking trail on site offered a nice bit of exercise without having to drive to the surrounding hiking trails. The host was friendly and responsive but allowed for plenty of privacy. Would stay here again without hesitation.

The Park has the small Glen Hill Chapel and the tiny Country Store, as well as a long BBQ spit for grilling many chickens. Ask, and Dennis will tell you the story! It’s an easy drive to Harrisonburg and the surrounding Shenandoah Valley.

I loved this property! Very private, shady, even better than i thought it would be. The cabin was clean and tidy, nice size and even a dish washer! The large pavillion patio is a great space for relaxing. There is actually a small church there too! My dogs and I enjoyed the walking trail. My host Dennis was super nice, friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again, fall should be gorgeous!

We enjoyed the fireplace, walking trail and just sitting on the porch enjoying coffee looking out at the beautiful scenery. Our host, Dennis was amazing! Lovely secluded spot surrounded by cows, chickens and mountain vistas. The cabin is clean and well maintained. Although it rained part of every day, we were safe and warm on the patio with a fire in the fireplace. Dennis is genial and easy going, always answering messages within 10 minutes. We enjoyed touring Bluestone winery and White Oak Lavender Farm nearby.

The space is small but so very well appointed. I haven’t stayed in such a clean place in a while. The counters, the floor, the dishes…even the smell was fantastic! They do a really great job communication was great, the hosts were very friendly. I would stay again so I feel like that sums it up!

However, that is part of the charm of the location - isolated and quiet but not so far off the road to be a problem. The property sits above the owner's working farm. This is the perfect getaway near the JMU campus. The location of the cabin is very private. We loved building a fire in the outdoor fireplace. The cabin may appear small on the outside, but it is perfect for 2-there is more room inside than in a hotel. The host is very personable and hospitable.

Great air conditioning for a hot July week. A long driveway to a secluded quiet wooded area. Bottled water was welcome and needed. Strong wifi signal and TV worked great. Because we were at a camp about 20 minutes away all day and into the evening, this cabin was our older adult quiet place to rest and attend to our elder needs. We slept very well and it was needed after a long and active day. Thanks!! Enjoyed our brief talks with you.

Dennis was very timely in responding to any questions I had. Some other reviews mentioned the fact that the property is on a chicken farm as if that was a drawback; that is true, but you only drive past the coops to get to the house. We were there in August, and did not notice any farm odor once we got to the house. The house was clean and Dennis was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

The cabin is sweet, comfortable and clean. It is off the beaten path and a bit hard to access. However, that is part of the charm of the location - isolated and quiet but not so far off the road to be a problem. The property sits above the owner's working farm. He is easily accessible and most helpful for any questions or assistance.

This is our 2nd visit and it feels like home. It is off the beaten path, but close to town , comfortable, and relaxing!! The valley is beautiful, get off the beaten path and enjoy it 👍

This place is an absolutely delightful and affordable option for a weekend getaway. It is conveniently located within about a 10-minute distance from downtown Harrisonburg. The cabin itself offers a charming and cozy atmosphere, equipped with all the essential amenities. You'll find a fully-equipped kitchen with utensils, spices, as well as reliable AC/heating. The cabin also features a complete bathroom, and just outside the room, there's a covered sitting area with a lovely fireplace. Dennis, our friendly and exceptional host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. He thoughtfully provided firewood and lighter fluid for the fireplace, and there are plenty of comfortable chairs in the outdoor sitting area. As the cabin is situated near a farm, you may occasionally hear the soothing sounds of cow calls from your room. Additionally, Dennis has even created a small hiking trail in the vicinity, allowing you to explore the area's natural beauty. Without a doubt, we are already looking forward to returning to this remarkable place.

This was the perfect getaway cabin for our trip to hike around Shenandoah. The cabin is very secluded and overlooks the owners farm. The drive to Shenandoah was about 45 minutes, but some really great scenery on the way. Would definitely stay again.

The little house was very clean, in the woods and just what we were looking for in a spot. The gentlemen was very nice and showed us how to get there. He answered all our questions. The only thing I regret not knowing is the view and knowledge. It’s a working farm. There are 6 chicken houses right in front of the little house and three more across the street. Though the smell wasn’t as bad as I had thought it would be when I drove up, I just felt deceived, hoodwinked. We enjoyed our trip and made the best of it. Just know it’s on a working farm with many chicken coups.

This cabin was a fun stay for us with our dog. Super clean, well stocked with all the essentials and plenty of space to roam. The bed was really comfortable and the linens were very nice. The added bonus of a HUGE covered porch with fireplace made it easy to spend lots of time outdoors. The property is secluded at the top of a steep rise in the hillside with a nice view of the farm and countryside below. The walking trail on site offered a nice bit of exercise without having to drive to the surrounding hiking trails. The host was friendly and responsive but allowed for plenty of privacy. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Our stay was fabulous! Dennis greeted us and showed us around when we arrived. The property is right on his farm, but secluded enough where it felt private. Even though we stayed in January, we loved the fireplace outside. The cabin was clean and welcoming. It was an easy 18 min drive to downtown Harrisonburg and about 30 min to Luray Caverns & Shenandoah.

This was such a relaxing spot all to yourself behind some poultry sheds and a grazing pasture with cows (and a barn cat) at the treeline of a hill. Dennis is a kind, wonderful host and led the way to the property in person. Great view of a forested hill with sunset behind each evening, and the cabin is thoughtfully stocked, clean and cozy.

Dennis was very accommodating. The property was very clean and exactly as listed. We stayed here for our son’s college graduation so we weren’t at the property very much but there was firewood available to use in the fireplace and lots of outdoor seating. We will def be back again!

We have been here several times over the last few years. Dennis is always a phenomenal host! The woods are beautiful this time of year and snow was everywhere. This visit, our puppy decided to chase a skunk, so that was a little adventure for us! ;)
