Deep Water Lake House

Great little lake house. Back porch is great for morning coffee. The dock and boat lift are perfect for my bass boat. The dock fishing is good as well as the lake fishing around the house. fourth time we've stayed and can't wait to get back already planning next trip.

This place was awesome. Everything was as described. The screened in porch was where we spent most of our time. The double deck is a great idea for the sun lovers and the fishermen. We will be back!

The backyard was amazing, the house is actually a double wide that has been modified to be more efficient and comfortable. My pontoon was supposed to have been able to launch there at the house but because of height of the cover , limbs overhang the driveway to backyard to get to boat launch, we had to drive over to another location to launch boat. The description says deep water house, but in reality the water was deep enough for a boat, but only around 5ft deep to 7’ to channel, I was expecting 12 to 15’ ft water at edge of homeowner property and water, but was beautiful back yard, house was clean, except for trash left by last tenant. And one last negative was at the boat dock spiders were everywhere, my youngest daughter got bit on her legs , not sure if spider bit but was swollen with red dot and circular around bite mark. I’m not scared of spiders, but younger people and wife are terrified of them. We enjoyed staying there, it was ok. I would rate on a scale including everything between 6.5 to a 7 on a 0/10 scale. Thanks for a good time with family.

Our visit was great, the outside space and dock are incredible. Very clean and great location. Would definitely stay here again. Having the screened in porch is the perfect expansion of kitchen/ dining space.

We enjoyed the back porch immensely as well as a safe place to dock our boat. We brought kayaks as well. People were catching fish all around us.

We enjoyed our stay here. Place was clean and decorated for Christmas. Master bedroom bed was amazingly comfortable. We couldn’t watch tv in the 2nd bedroom because neither the Roku or the Dish tv was working. There are 4 tvs inside the house: 2 on Roku and 2 on satellite which is extremely weird. It would make sense just to have them all on Roku. The 2nd bathroom is extremely small and you can barely even move in it. We didn’t catch any fish, not even a bite. The back deck and lake deck were lovely.

Wonderful property! Well maintained with a beautiful backyard and view of the lake! Can’t wait to come back!

We arrived to an unexpected torn up yard, as the septic tank was replaced, but the mounds of dirt were still in the front yard. We messaged the host to see if we should expect contractors and were told no, so we looked past this unexpected eyesore. The property was nice, but needed some additional cleaning as there were several cobwebs in corners. All of the bathmats were sopping wet, so we threw them in the dryer. There is not a hottub on property as listed. All no big deal and could be overlooked. The neighbor came by to introduce himself (an interruption to our hopeful uninterrupted 1st family trip) and let us know he would be cutting the yard. We figured with all the rain he wouldn't be cutting, but he proved us wrong and cut the next day. On our 2nd full day, the grass was cut, a contractor came by to put up gutters and the pest control company came. All interruptions to our getaway that were not relayed by the host. All items that could have been handled between checkout and checkin times between guests. On our 3rd day, the AC stopped working. We contacted the host to inform that the AC quite and was blowing warm air. It was already 75° in the home when we decided to pack up and leave a day early, as the AC was not going to be fixed quickly. It was 85 degrees two hours later when we left. Humidity that was steadly around 60% during our stay, kept growing with the warmth! The boat house, other than spiders/webs everywhere, was the nicest part of the property.

Everything as advertised. Only problems were hot water in small bath and back bedroom was not clean. Large amount of dog hair left on floor

We enjoyed it very much, the dock with the boat lift was great for our boat, fishing was good, the lot was great, fenced in yard for the dog was perfect. House could use some updating in the kitchen and secondary bathroom, but all in all it was great, and we will return.

Back porch, back yard, and fishing deck were good. here was black mold in the washing machine; I took a sample home in case I get sick from inhaling the fumes when I opened the door!!!!!Bed linens piled on floor in closet with broom and cleaning supplies on top of them, which makes me wonder if they are putting these dirty linens on bed or those washed in moldy machine.Pillows had yellow urine looking stains on them; we had to buy new pillows and cases.kitchen and bathroom cabinets very dirty!kitchen linens had food on them.kitchen doors falling off hinges.No dish rack in kitchen and no dish washing detergent.Main bedroom bed dangerously high for anyone under 7 feet; I fell off trying to get out and bruised my hip terribly. I had to buy a step stool. My husband who is 6 feet tall could not easily get in and out of bed.All in all, this place is a health risk!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Thanksgiving ever! It was beautiful, comfy cozy due to cold weather and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner thanks to the cabin amenities. Never want to leave but had to go home. We will be back to get out of New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Liz Durham

There is nothing to say except I want to stay a whole month next time! Everything was amazing! Loved the house, the yard, the dock. Comfortable and well stocked, didn’t need for anything but our own food! It’s everything and more! Will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful home on a very quite street. It's close enough to town but not in town. We love this home and love staying here.

This was such a wonderful retreat for us to bring our 2 families together for a family reunion in Piedmont. The house was full of details and amenities, more than I ever imagined. A tackle box was ready to go for our fishing adventures, the firepit called our name, and that screened-in back porch was a delightful way to end each night. The house has some wear and tear, but the decorations and care that have been put into it make up for it. We can't wait to come back!

This property would be outstanding in a warm, good weather setting. We were unable to utilize all the outstanding facilities available due entirely to the cold weather season we chose. I would love to go back during a more pleasant weather season. We also found some very nice restaurants and a "Super Walmart" within a short distance drive from the cabin. We had selected this as a meeting place for two families that was approximately halfway for both of us. The Host was very approachable and, although we did encounter an initial problem with check-in, it was completely beyond his control. He graciously was able to make other arraignments, which he did not have to do, and it went a long way toward ensuring the success of our visit. Thank you, Sir.

We have enjoyed staying at this property so much. I love the relaxed fishing and kayaking and that I can bring my Chihuahua. My granddaughter has a super cool Pawpa Ellis, who lives next-door, and he is very special to her. The property Host, Robert, is VERY accommodating and responsive. We will gladly rebook this property and continue making family memories!

This is our 3rd stay at our favorite lake house!! New upgrades are awesome! We enjoyed kayaking, catching Crappie, roasting hot dogs and making S'mores. The Cedar swings were a favorite for all. House nice and clean and has many useful amenities. We fried our Crappie and had other wonderful meals during our stay. The Hosts are easy to reach and super accommodating. We will see you again in the Spring!

A wonderful relaxing stay. Loved the hometown vibe. Not touristy at all. The screened in porch, land, dock and outdoor living was wonderful. Would definitely recommend and will be going back. It was a hard week of fishing but we met a wonderful neighbor Mr Ellis who keeped us in fish all week. And gave us some words of wisdom on fishing.

This is our 2nd time to rent a cabin thru vrbo. Both times was great. Overall beautful view of Weiss Lake, relaxing and comfortable cabin. We all had a great time, Loved hanging out on the screened proch and deck for fishing. I have referred a friend and we will like to return for another stay in this cabin on Weiss Lake in the future. . Audrey

This property is in a nice neighborhood. The large fenced in yard was great. Our dog was able to roam without much supervision. Our family had a wonderful time.
