The property while older has been updated. Very clean and staff were exceptionally friendly. We used the restaurant and food was good. Enjoyed the starbucks coffee in the morning. There was a charge for parking which I thought was unnecessary.

The parking lot of the hotel is very small. We got back on a Satursay night at 9:00 and were told to park in a handicapped spot because there were no other places to park. I didn’t feel unsafe in the area (there was always a parking attendant out front) but I didn’t get the feeling that it was the best part of town. They have a Starbucks in the lobby and a nice restaurant. The pool was nice as well. Wish they would have had a free breakfast. Overall I would stay there again.

The room was nice and clean, bed was comfy, has everything you can need. The food was good in the lobby, had some live music to listen to. Pool is a little small for the size of the hotel but it served its purpose well. Only down side was I found a lock of hair in a wrapped up washcloth and that was weird, disturbing, gross and funny all at the same time. Aside from that everything was great.

I loved everything about this place.Except for the bathroom doors .When traveling with children the bathroom should have the option to close or lock the door .It wasn’t private an for that I wouldn’t stay with my kids again but I would go as a couple.Thats just me .

The location is easy to drive in and out off. The front desk staff in the evening especially are disrespectful, cold and rude. I have stayed there 4xs- and have never gotten a smile out of any of them. Especially, Lucas Tucker in the night shift - who I will be calling corporate to place a formal complaint against his comments. They are definitely not mid-west nice.

Notified on arrival they charge $20/night for parking. On departure, they had charged $27/night for valet parking. No courtesy coffee in lobby, but the bar doubles as a Starbucks from 6am-noon. No continental breakfast, but the lobby restaurant is happy to charge you a fine-dining experience for fancy hotel food. I ordered the same thing from the restaurant 5 straight nights and was charged a completely different price every night ($10, $12, $17, $18, & $20). Never hit happy hour, just random charges for the same thing. Just felt like they nickled and dimed the price up from "reasonable enough" to "wowsa!" Pool is 3.5' deep. Its a soaker, not a swimmer. Gym was solid, thankfully. Staff was pleasant.

Was completely unaware about the early check in fee, on top of fee for “complementary” breakfast & self parking fee/parking permit. Staff was rude upon arrival; when I approached the counter for check-in, the person over the counter said his shift was ending and his colleague would immediately help me. Which I respected and waiting for his colleague for over 10 minutes. His colleague ended up helping a family of 4, skipping me, after I waited patiently. The next staff member who helped me was able to check me in and after I asked if they had any dolly’s to help me carry my belongings, his immediate response was “we don’t keep them on hand.” Meaning do you all not carry any generally?? Our room could have been in better condition. The wall frame was peeling, curtains filled with gnats, fridge was radiating hot waves & made things smelled burnt. Not to mention the towels we had in the restroom already had stains. The restroom door and cabinet had dents and damage as well. If this facility is represented as a “resort,” then act like it. After all the Doubletrees I’ve stayed in, this one was by FAR THE WORST.

We stayed at this hotel for a concert next door at the convention center - it was the perfect location. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was clean, spacious and really nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant located in the hotel and the food was good and the cocktails were delicious. We'd highly recommend staying at this hotel in downtown Tucson.
