Peaceful Lakefront Living – 3-BR Home with Breathtaking Views; Pet & Smoke-Free

There was not a beach on this property but there is one very close by. The sea wall makes for a great place to sit and enjoy the lake. You can watch the boats go by and take in the peacefulness of the lake. It is also the perfect spot to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It made for a very relaxing weekend.

It was as described online. Parking was a little tight for two trucks and a boat. Overall we were all very pleased with the amenities and location. We will probably book it again next year

The property is in a great location; it is literally on the lake. We sat on the back wall and looked out across Lake Erie. However, we couldn't access it from the yard (the surrounding houses had stairs on their wall to access the lake). We didn't know where to go even though there was a paddle boat available because there were no instructions. I think the owner may be new to this because the property was missing a "Guide to Your Stay" binder with listings for groceries, gas, dining, how to use the stuff available to you, what's expected at checkout, etc. The owner was quick to respond to my inquiries. If we'd stayed longer, we would have asked for info on how to use the boat. The house is old and creaky, which freaked my young adult kids out, but it's an old house and they make noises. If you're sensitive to noise, this is not the place for you. If you want "high end", this is not the place for you yet. It certainly has the potential for it as the owner builds up funds to invest more into it. If you want comfortably lived in, this is the place. My sister and her husband came over to visit and we sat around the kitchen table playing dominos. There was plenty of seating for all six of us in the living room. We were comfortable in the dining room as well, but the dining bench would not seat 3 adults as listed. You could fit 3 small children, but not tweens or teens. There is also not a spa. The owner said he would remove that from the listing as well.

The house was to the most part clean. The broke down recliner should be replaced. The yard really needs cut. I\'m 6\'1" and the grass was just below knee deep on me. The firepit was in the corner with the weeds. Guess i could have broke out the mower and cut it myself. Some people came to look at the falling down house next door and they pointed out that the yard on the property was better cared for then the one we were staying at. The seawall needs help badly. The stairs going up are routed badly did not know if they would hold me and I only went up twice. Did not want to push my luck for the 3rd time. Listing said shoreline access, which I guess is true if you\'re up for a 12\' foot jump down. No stairs to shore. The view was really nice and made up for some of the disrepair. I do fear that someone will get hurt on those steps if not replaced very soon.

Andrew's house was a great place to relax and a convenient place for sightseeing. It is just as pictured. Andrew is very responsive. As for the few negative comments posted: when we were there the lawn was in good shape, the steps to the seawall are fine (could use a handrail), check in was very easy, the coffee maker has a switch in the back, and in addition to all the TV channels we used the HDMI cord to connect our computer to the TV and watch our personal streaming services. The internet worked fine (cell phone was hit or miss). We enjoyed the beach at Sterling State Park 20 minutes away. Detroit, Dearborn, and Ann Arbor are all within an hour's drive. The town of Estral Beach isn't really a town, but stores and restaurants are only a 15 minute drive. I enjoyed walking south on Lakeshore Drive and looking at the inlet and the wildlife. I even saw a moose crossing a narrow strip of water! Our only issue was with mayflies, but that's a seasonal thing and they were only bad the first couple of days we were there.

We chose this location to be near our daughter and son-in-law. The place met our needs as being able to see the lake from the property and having a short drive to a nice beach. It was clean and updated. We were there hot days but there were plenty of air conditioners to keep us cool.

Came out to Michigan for a quick weekend trip with friends to do some fishing in Lake Erie. The house was exactly as mentioned in listing, very clean easy to access and a nice quiet location. Great for a quiet getaway or a fishing trip or to visit the Detroit area. Owner was very attentive to any questions about the property. And very accommodating. All in all I would book again

Beautiful arches and woodworking. Enjoyed spending time with my family in this spacious home, plenty of room for all six of us! Having a restaurant within walking distance was a plus!

Nice house by the lake, everything as expected. House is located in a nice little town setting.

The TV/wifi/phone connection was poor. We were supposed to have access to a ton of channels, but the system kept freezing and shutting down. Only one bathroom and on first floor, with all bedrooms upstairs. The place served its purpose and had great view of Lake Erie, but really needs to be updated.

It was also an easy drive to Detroit, Windsor and Toledo for some day excursions. We had a plumbing issue left by previous tenets, but Andrew was gracious and very quick getting it fixed, especially since it was a holiday. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we return to the area.
