I stayed in the Fawn Lodge for two nights and it was absolutely wonderful! The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. Everything was exactly as described. As an avid nature lover, my stay there was a little slice of heaven. We really enjoyed sitting out on the back porch or around a fire, just listening to all the wildlife around us. We heard coyotes howling, elk bugling, owls calling, and even heard a bobcat. Deer were wandering around on the property, and we even enjoyed a short visit at our campfire from a porcupine. I spent my mornings bird-watching from the porch. After our long days exploring the area and looking for wildlife, the cabin was a warm and welcoming place to spend the night (and the beds are super comfortable). I am a regular visitor to elk country, and I will certainly be staying at the Fawn Lodge again in the future.

This place a great place we had a great stay beds were comfortable. Shower was nice a hot. We cooked our breakfast there and dishes were right there to be used.. fire pit with plenty of wood. Lets just say we really liked it.

Beautiful clean cabin. Close to elk watching areas, beautiful mountain scenery. Only one restaurant in town but much more by rt 80. Cabin has all you need plus gas grill to cook your meals. Fire pit outside too

The Fawn Lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. The fire ring area was fully stocked with firewood and 4 nice chairs. Lots of bottled water in the fridge and plenty of towels in the shower area. There were even snacks on the table when we arrived.

Fawn Lodge is a great cabin designed and constructed for what it is intended for. A great mountain home away from home with all the amenities provided anyone would need. It has the wonderful quirks and charm of any great mountain camp/cabin. Loved this place very much and look forward to staying here again.

It was a very nice cabin we stayed in very clean Loved how quiet it was it rained all day Saturday but did stop enough to light the fire pit which was very relaxing in the evening very thankful for the porch at least we got to sit on the porch when it was raining will be backNext year

Even though other cabins were nearby, our cabin was private and secluded enough to give us plenty of privacy. The rear area of the cabin had privacy fence up to block the view of neighboring cabins. We loved it!

We loved our stay! We pulled in the driveway and was greeted by some white tail deer. Cabin was exactly as pictured, clean, comfortable, quiet, perfect! I contacted the host before our trip and response was fast. We had deer, and turkey come up past the cabin, no elk or bear :( We went to the visitor center and took the horse drawn wagon ride. We loved it, thank you so very much for letting us stay and enjoy your beautiful cabin!! Look forward to many more trips

Everything about our stay was perfect and could not have asked for anything more from the communication of the owner to the amenities of the Lodge! When you are told you do not need to bring anything except coffee and your provisions, he is correct. Would stay here again and highly recommend this accommodation in the heart of Elk Country in PA.

We had the best time in Elk Country. It was mine and my husbands first time there. The cabin was clean, perfectly located near restaurants, and the visitor center, along with plenty of hiking trails. The owner was wonderful and communicated well. Highly recommend!!

The accommodations were beautiful. Had all the supplies we needed. Nice clean bedding. Clean towels. Very nice place to stay. I enjoyed the fire pit and there was wildlife everywhere. Got to see deer, elk, turkeys and a bear. I want to thank the host for a lovely place to stay.

The cabin was fantastic. The owner had the heat on at time of arrival. The entire experience was wonderful. Camp fire while deer were eating only a few yards away. We felt cozy nestled in the hills. Made breakfast both morning with plenty of kitchen utensils. Saw turkey, deer and elk. We will be back. Highly recommend. Thanks for a weekend of fun. Peg Liebel

Came out here for mountain relaxation and hoped to see some elk along the way. Thing is elk are elusive creatures this time of year. We did spot two at quite a distance at the Winslow Hill viewing area. Every evening like clockwork a herd of deer came down off the mountain to graze right behind the cabin. Drove out to Kinzua bridge but didn’t know they were doing work on it. Check website before making that drive. Not a total loss as we had a reservation to tour Straub brewery in St Mary’s that day. Saw elk and bobcat tracks at Beaver Run Pond as well as eagles nesting. The cabin is a great central location for a visit to the PA Wilds and I would return here without a second thought.

Came to see the elk. Visitor center and viewing areas we only a short distance from our lodge. As far as eating out the were not many options in the direct area. Of those the meals were ok.

Everything about our stay was perfect! We loved the cottage! It was perfect and had everything we could need. We had deer, chipmunks, squirrels, and even a turkey stop by. It was very centrally located near all the elk, parks and trails. Yet still a short distance from St. Mary’s and shopping.

We had the best time in Elk Country. It was mine and my husbands first time there. The cabin was clean, perfectly located near restaurants, and the visitor center, along with plenty of hiking trails. The owner was wonderful and communicated well. Highly recommend!!

This place a great place we had a great stay beds were comfortable. Shower was nice a hot. We cooked our breakfast there and dishes were right there to be used.. fire pit with plenty of wood. Lets just say we really liked it.

This home was beautiful and conveniently located near all the viewing for the Elk. The kitchen is stocked with all the dishes you would need for you stay. The house was very clean. We will definitely be back next year!

Loved, loved, loved our stay!!!! This home exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and comfortable. Our hosts thought of every detail. It was like being at home. Thank you for making our trip so pleasant. :)

Beautiful clean cabin. Close to elk watching areas, beautiful mountain scenery. Only one restaurant in town but much more by rt 80. Cabin has all you need plus gas grill to cook your meals. Fire pit outside too

The Fawn Lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. The fire ring area was fully stocked with firewood and 4 nice chairs. Lots of bottled water in the fridge and plenty of towels in the shower area. There were even snacks on the table when we arrived.

Came to see the elk. Visitor center and viewing areas we only a short distance from our lodge. As far as eating out the were not many options in the direct area. Of those the meals were ok.

This cabin was just what we needed for our long weekend stay in Elk Country. The cabin was clean and well stocked. It was perfect for us. We enjoyed exploring the area and saw about 75 elk over the course of our 3 day stay! Would definitely stay here again.

My cousin & I booked The Fawn Lodge for our annual trout trip. Owner, Tom, gets an A+for cleanliness and an A++ for the incidental amenities. Without exaggerating, if whatever it is isn’t already there - you probably don’t need it. DT

I just took my kids up to the cabin for a few days. It was super clean and ready for us. It had everything we needed to make it a wonderful family vacation. We look forward to going back again next summer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Everything about our stay was perfect and could not have asked for anything more from the communication of the owner to the amenities of the Lodge! When you are told you do not need to bring anything except coffee and your provisions, he is correct. Would stay here again and highly recommend this accommodation in the heart of Elk Country in PA.
