We stay at alot of hotels, alot. We absolutely loved this place its a one stop park your car because everything is here. Great bar, food , staff . Everyone was Friendly and helpful. Seriously the food was spot on and one of the best old fasions ive had, thank you Paolo for amazing service and laughs. Oh on the way to room we stopped to get a bottle of wine, yes they have a liquor store too😛. We will be back.

Wish the parking was more regulated so only guests could park in their spots. It’s inconvenient to have to park a block away and then bring in your luggage.

Have always loved LBI but to stay in the heart of the island at a beautiful welcoming hotel made our stay that much better. Quick easy walk to the beach, badges included, was able to get the badges before check in allowing us to take full advantage of the beach. Will definitely return

Loved that is is soooo close to the beach and they provide beach towels and beach passes! Super walkable, beautiful beach, clean facility! We stayed in the motel, room was great and staff was super friendly!!

Clerk at register desk helpful. Told him bathroom not very clean,tolet bowl, floor , shower, he sent someone soon. Trouble was attendant did not clean toilet or shower floor etc. Clerk said shower floor had stain. Guitar player from 5 to 9 was excellent. Unfortunately I was trying to take a nap and he was right under me in the restaraunt. Town is quiet after Labor Day.,Really relaxing.

Very cute, clean and perfectly located hotel. One block to beach. Rooms were cozy and nice and cool! Short walk to “How you Brewin”, Wallys and Scojos. My only complaint is house keeping was not part of our stay. It only included towel replenishment and garbage bag change. I would have enjoyed a bed refresher and a quick vacuum to pick up any sand remnants. When I vacation I enjoy those little perks and was slightly disappointed they lacked in this area.

Overall the hotel was very nice. It was clean and well kept. The downside was window AC units and quite a bit of ambient light from the streets. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The location is awesome so it makes up for anything negative.

Stayed for thanksgiving weekend. Room was clean and ready and warm when we got there at 10pm. Instructions for self check in were easy and clear. Bed was very comfy. Would happily stay again.

Hotel location, parking, staff were fine. Short walk to beach. Restaurant on premises. Room = 1 KING BED. Very Small but ok. AC was about a foot away from bed. Noisy, but cool. I did not use housekeeping at all - but they still leave envelopes for tips. Management - Please include a good wage (for housekeeping) in with your rates. It's awkward to feel like you have to pay for a service that is not needed on a daily basis. I thought this tip thing was a thing of the past.

This hotel was fine. The location is the best thing about it. It is also affordable by Jersey shore standards, which is why we opted for it instead of the pricier LBI Hotel. But for two adults and a small child the room was really tight, especially once you bring luggage and a crib in there too. Like hard to walk around tight. The only place where there was room to put our daughter's crib was halfway in the closet. Maybe if you're traveling solo or have great weather and spend all day every day at the beach you'll be ok. But for a small family, you might want to spend a little more for the sake of your sanity. We just stayed two nights and that was about all we could handle. We had some rain and the three of us cooped up in the room was not fun. A few things in the room were also broken. Our A/C didn't work when we first arrived, which the staff did promptly replace, and the dresser drawers kept falling off their tracks, which was just annoying. The bed was also really hard. I'm a sleep deprived mom who isn't normally picky about mattress firmness or whatever, but we both ended up with sore backs and necks. But if you're on a tight budget and this is all you can afford in order to enjoy the shore, you'll survive. It's safe and clean and meets the bare minimums.

The room we were in was extremely small which is fine. However, the bathroom was very dated and the air conditioner was so loud we couldn’t sleep. The property itself is very well kept and the proximity to the beach can’t be beat!

The room was small but clean. Oversized furniture made it look cluttered. The bathroom was clean and stocked with big towels and other linens. There was no closet for hanging items and the air conditioner, while clean, was inefficient. Four of the six drawers were filled with the extra pillows and blankets, leaving little room for our items.

Clean and quiet in mid-April off-season. Centrally located, 15 mins from Barnegat Lighthouse. Wally's next door restaurant very good food. I would have liked an in-room coffee machine, the one at front desk had no water.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room wasn’t fancy but it was clean and quiet and it nicely served my needs. My only complaint is the fact that there was no chair in the room. I don’t think this is too much to expect from a hotel. I am not a fan of sitting on the bed but really you aren’t left with much of a choice. But as long as this hotel continues with their reasonable rates (they really were a much fairer price than most properties), I’ll stay here again.

Hotel was very clean. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach which is really nice. Only complaint were that the mattresses were hard as rock. My friends and I woke up with back and neck pain every morning. But overall the location was great.

The location is good, the hotel itself isn’t bad. It can be difficult if you have a room upstairs you should be able to carry your luggage so if your elderly or have any type of ailments make sure your downstairs. The people above me were so loud from like1:30am - 3am & when I told staff they kind of laughed it off and said oh yah I think they have kids. I didn’t appreciate the lack of care but didn’t say anything else. The walls are definitely thin you can hear everything. It’s nothing fancy but for lbi it’s a good price.

When I asked if we could change rooms because someone had left a windpipe he was very reluctant and more worried about me complaining than to just see that we were comfortable. The next room was close to the garbage bins and very loud in the morning when they came to collect.

The property was nice and clean. The room I booked was much smaller than pictured. front desk staff was quite uninterested in talking/helping with any questions. the older gentleman that did maintenance was very helpful but the younger man at the front desk couldn't be bothered.

We were surprised when we first arrived—there was no one at the front desk. After a while, someone finally showed up, but he looked annoyed, like we were bothering him. If I’m paying to stay at your hotel, I don’t need attitude. Handle your stress—it’s not the guest’s problem. Unfortunately, the bad service didn’t stop there. At the restaurant downstairs, the bartender (a middle-aged white man) was flat-out rude. He ignored every woman at the bar, which made it pretty clear he had a serious problem with women. Completely unprofessional. I also injured my ankle trying to get to the ice machine—half the hotel felt like a safety hazard, with blocked-off areas that were still in use. The path to the broken ice machine was especially dangerous. Our balcony had no space to sit, so we ended up having to sit awkwardly in front of someone else’s window. Not ideal. That said, we still had a great time overall despite the hotel. One big positive: the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable—absolutely amazing sleep.

We had a super telaxed stay at Surf City Hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The surrounding was perfect.1 min to the beach, short walking distance to good restaurants, coffee shop etc. We enjoyed our stay in post season period ( end of September) very much☆☆☆

Last minute decision and so happy we choose surf city hotel! Room was cozy, comfortable and clean. Pleasantly surprised with discount for restaurant and Liquor store attached to hotel. Excellent location and walking distance to beach and others stores in town.

Our stay 6/17-6/20…bistro, bar, restaurant was not open till the following week.. room next to and above us was noisy all night.. furniture moving.. people walking.. office didn’t open till 8 or 9 AM.. couldn’t get coffee.. 190 per night was not worth it

Location can't be beat, 50 yards fron a quiet, lovely beach. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Bathrooms were a little downscale for the price, but immaculately clean. Hotel bar and restaurant are good, not great, but definitely fun and a good value for a short stay. Lively scene in the "nightclub" part of the large bar-restaurant. Good live music selection Age of nightclub patrons skewed mid-20s. Walking distance to lots of other good stuff, though Surf City is not the most "happening" part of LBI. On balance, a GREAT spot for a gorgeous beach weekend in LBI!

Everything was modern and clean. Food in the restaurant was very tasty. Beach tag came with room. On my first day I had no hot water in the shower, although I did have it in the sink. The next day I got up early and water was hot. I enjoyed my stay
