The cottage is very close to the entrance of Crater Lake NP. It’s very well organized, in a quiet neighborhood and surrounded by beautiful nature. There are some really nice hikes nearby. We also enjoyed having our own firepit to make smores! Would love to visit again.

We loved staying in Mazama house. The house was clean and comfortable. The layout was great for us and our two girls. Terri was friendly and helpful. The outdoor fire pit and provided wood along with smores sticks were a hit with our girls, as was cornhole. The coffee and tea provided in the kitchen was nice. The location was also good for exploring Crater Lake. We also enjoyed the nearby, small organic grocery store. We would be happy to stay here again.

This property is a perfect location for visiting Crater Lake and surrounding national forests for additional hikes. The property was clean and all the appliances were in good working condition with the exception of the washing machine which was out of order during our stay. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Such a beautiful setting! At the edge of town and you look over a lovely field to the mountains. Little tiny grocery 1 block away. Not a ton otherwise near by. You wont get closer to crater lake unless you are at the lodge! Clean house, lovely yard with a fire pit. Kitchen/utensils adequate for cooking. FYI no washer available and no dishwasher (other than your kids. :). Loved our stay -would definitely go back if in the area!!!!

House was immaculate and easy to find. Easy check-in and great communication with Terri. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare some simple meals. Just wish I had known that you need to walk through the first floor bedroom to get to the stairs to the second floor, which means that first bedroom is not private. Luckily, we were all good friends so we dealt!

Everything was wonderful at this property and it was just as described on the VRBO listing. Great communication, very clean and a nice place away from home on a long road trip. Kids loved playing games and we all enjoyed relaxing around a fire at night. Perfect location to travel to Crater Lake National Park.

The location was just perfect beautiful valley and close to crater lake. It’s an older farmhouse style cabin the surrounding yard is beautiful with hanging blooming baskets . There is no tv . But that was no problem.

Terri is a fabulous host and is incredibly accommodating. She is friendly and helpful, and her dog is the best dog ever! Just came over for pets every night and was extremely patient with our young kids. It was a fun little extra to have a “pet.” The location cannot be beat for Crater Lake. At only 20 mins away, we were able to explore the park early before the crowds. We loved playing in the huge front yard, playing cornhole, making s’mores or watching the cows across the street. The house itself is cozy and quaint. Very comfortable beds and linens. But, it is old — so just be warned that the layout is a little funky / non traditional (have to go through one bedroom to get to the bathroom, closet or upstairs to the other bedroom), the stairs are incredibly steep (not suitable for the elderly or little kids; we had ours only go down on their butts).

Lovely property, so serene. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. Extremely comfortable and overall a very peaceful place to relax with the family while visiting Crater Lake. Terri was wonderful and provided clear instructions about what was nearby and what to see and do. We had a lovely time!

The deck had areas with no railing. There should be bannisters on all steps. The steps and level changes should have a yellow stripe. The living room smelled like Raid. The shower needs more cleaning or possibly redoing the caulking.

This is a great house to stay in if you’re exploring Crater Lake. It met our family needs well. We enjoyed the outside space and views as well. I didn’t give it a full 5 stars because the stairs are quite steep and I don’t remember that being said anywhere in the listing, and there was an ant issue in the kitchen. Overall, I would still recommend this home.

We traveled here for NYE thinking we would get to see the lake. Unfortunately that wasn't possible because there was TONS of snow but this place is located in a fantastic place when the lake is accesible. Quiet, calm place super close to the lake entrance. Only issues were minor, if you are traveling with kids you should know there is No TV. Truly a place to unwind and disconnect. Stairs are a little hazardous, even one of us adults took a tumble so just be careful. Kitchen is equipped nicely with basic dishes but the oven had no baking sheets. Foil is available but makes it a little harder to maneuver hot food with. The oven could use a good strubbin too (I'm a neat freak tho). There were also tons of flies inside which I thought was odd because temps were crazy low outside...I'm wondering if they are breeding inside. All in all, nothing that would make us not stay here again. Seems like a cute place you can enjoy better when it's warmer inside. Owners are super communicative up until check in and then they let you have your privacy which I always appreciate.

This was an excellent location to visit Crater Lake National Park. The property was like it was described & like the photos showed. The property was very quiet, relaxing & was well equipped. We had excellent communication with the VRBO contact. While the place was generally clean, I do think it could use an overall cleaning with special attention to the bathroom. Otherwise, we had a great stay in the Mazama House.

The house was exactly as shown in the listing. The first thing we noticed was that it was spotless! We had everything we needed for a delightful stay. House and grounds are welcoming and very comfortable. It took about half an hour to get to the Rim Village in Crater Lake NP. Overall, an outstanding experience!

GPS did not bring us to the property, owner didn’t respond til the following day. Neighboring hotel helped us locate the property. The master bedroom is a cut thru to the restroom and other bedroom. No door on bathroom side of master, no privacy and noise of other guests using the restroom. We had 6 towels for 4 adults with a 2 night stay. Washer and dryer didn’t work, no lights in dining room. The refrigerator made a noise, you get to sleep it stops then starts making noise again waking us up. Bathroom smelled of sewer
GPS did not bring us to the property, owner didn’t respond til the following day. Neighboring hotel helped us locate the property. The master bedroom is a cut thru to the restroom and other bedroom. Our family stayed here for two nights for a visit to Crater Lake. We stayed with our five children, ages 3 yrs up to 14 yrs. We found the home to be very comfortable and a great location for visiting Crater Lake. We stocked up on all our grocery needs before arriving. Having the yard for the kids to run around in after a long day in the car was perfect. The view was beautiful from the yard and we loved watching the sunsets both evenings. The layout is a bit unusual, which didn't matter at all for our family, but it may not be the best arrangement for two couples sharing. The living room has a pull-out sofa, from there you walk into the main bedroom which has a very comfortable king bed. You have to walk through this bedroom to get to the bathroom, which is at the base of the stairs to go up to the second bedroom, which has a queen bed and a twin. The stairs are steep, but our 3 yr old had no difficulty. Everyone in our family slept great both nights and it was a wonderful home to come back to after a long, but amazing, day up at Crater Lake. Terri was great to communicate with and we wouldn't hesitate at all to return here!

The location is very peaceful. The flowers around the house were amazing! Washer was out of service, and with spending days hiking around the park we were unable to do laundry. Communication was not replied to in regards to the laundry.

No door on bathroom side of master, no privacy and noise of other guests using the restroom. We had 6 towels for 4 adults with a 2 night stay. Washer and dryer didn’t work, no lights in dining room. The refrigerator made a noise, you get to sleep it stops then starts making noise again waking us up. Bathroom smelled of sewer

We loved staying in Mazama house. The house was clean and comfortable. The layout was great for us and our two girls. Terri was friendly and helpful. The outdoor fire pit and provided wood along with smores sticks were a hit with our girls, as was cornhole. The coffee and tea provided in the kitchen was nice. The location was also good for exploring Crater Lake. We also enjoyed the nearby, small organic grocery store. We would be happy to stay here again.

My family and I stayed for two nights while we explored Crater Lake and the surrounding area. Crater Lake is a must! The host was wonderful, greeted us while we unpacked and gave us a quick run down of the area. If you plan on visiting Crater Lake and want some place close to stay, highly recommend.

This was an excellent location to visit Crater Lake National Park. The property was like it was described & like the photos showed. The property was very quiet, relaxing & was well equipped. We had excellent communication with the VRBO contact. While the place was generally clean, I do think it could use an overall cleaning with special attention to the bathroom. Otherwise, we had a great stay in the Mazama House.

House was immaculate and easy to find. Easy check-in and great communication with Terri. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare some simple meals. Just wish I had known that you need to walk through the first floor bedroom to get to the stairs to the second floor, which means that first bedroom is not private. Luckily, we were all good friends so we dealt!

Terri is a fabulous host and is incredibly accommodating. She is friendly and helpful, and her dog is the best dog ever! Just came over for pets every night and was extremely patient with our young kids. It was a fun little extra to have a “pet.” The location cannot be beat for Crater Lake. At only 20 mins away, we were able to explore the park early before the crowds. We loved playing in the huge front yard, playing cornhole, making s’mores or watching the cows across the street. The house itself is cozy and quaint. Very comfortable beds and linens. But, it is old — so just be warned that the layout is a little funky / non traditional (have to go through one bedroom to get to the bathroom, closet or upstairs to the other bedroom), the stairs are incredibly steep (not suitable for the elderly or little kids; we had ours only go down on their butts).

The cottage is very close to the entrance of Crater Lake NP. It’s very well organized, in a quiet neighborhood and surrounded by beautiful nature. There are some really nice hikes nearby. We also enjoyed having our own firepit to make smores! Would love to visit again.

Such a beautiful setting! At the edge of town and you look over a lovely field to the mountains. Little tiny grocery 1 block away. Not a ton otherwise near by. You wont get closer to crater lake unless you are at the lodge! Clean house, lovely yard with a fire pit. Kitchen/utensils adequate for cooking. FYI no washer available and no dishwasher (other than your kids. :). Loved our stay -would definitely go back if in the area!!!!

The house was exactly as shown in the listing. The first thing we noticed was that it was spotless! We had everything we needed for a delightful stay. House and grounds are welcoming and very comfortable. It took about half an hour to get to the Rim Village in Crater Lake NP. Overall, an outstanding experience!

We traveled here for NYE thinking we would get to see the lake. Unfortunately that wasn't possible because there was TONS of snow but this place is located in a fantastic place when the lake is accesible. Quiet, calm place super close to the lake entrance. Only issues were minor, if you are traveling with kids you should know there is No TV. Truly a place to unwind and disconnect. Stairs are a little hazardous, even one of us adults took a tumble so just be careful. Kitchen is equipped nicely with basic dishes but the oven had no baking sheets. Foil is available but makes it a little harder to maneuver hot food with. The oven could use a good strubbin too (I'm a neat freak tho). There were also tons of flies inside which I thought was odd because temps were crazy low outside...I'm wondering if they are breeding inside. All in all, nothing that would make us not stay here again. Seems like a cute place you can enjoy better when it's warmer inside. Owners are super communicative up until check in and then they let you have your privacy which I always appreciate.
