Web site says "newly renovated rooms". Bath fixtures looked like they were from the 60's. Renovation looks like it was paint and flooring. The flooring is carpet tiles that were peeling up. Heater/AC seemed louder than most. Needed an end table next to the bed to set your phone etc on. Top sheet on bed was extremely wrinkled leaving you to question if it was left in washer until it dried or if it hadn't been changed. In general room was clean and bed was comfortable. Site has nice deck to sit on and view the lake. Wi-Fi only worked out on deck and not in rooms.

This motel has been recently remodeled, so everything was in great condition. They don't have the "extras" but they cover the basics really, really well - perfect for a family trip.

I knew this was not a top-rated property when I booked, and in most ways it was just what I needed--a reasonably priced place in a tourist town during the busiest holiday at peak season. That said, the lack of any closet space or anywhere to hang clothes was a drawback, as was the very spotty internet; you had to search around the property to find a connection. But the staff did what they could to help with that. And, the outdoor deck is a great feature. The hotel has just been updated and has a new owner, so what I experienced may be a work-in-progress. But I wouldn't want to book this for a multiple-night stay.

Very clean and and all basic amenities (fridge, microwave and Keurig). Very close to ferries to Mackinac Island and they allowed us to remain parked in the lot. Only downside was the water only was tepid even after being run for a long time.

Very clean and quiet. Our tv needed two remotes. We had only one. The gal at the desk tried to get one for us. But there wasn’t one to be found. They need a better tv set up!! They allowed us to keep our vehicle in their lot for free while we went out to Mackinac Island. They called a shuttle for us. Very nice.

Definitely a no-frills motel. Very bare bones, but super easy in and out and good for an overnight stay.

Basic, no frills hotel. Room was clean and had the standard amenities. Front desk people were nice as well. Good place to stay while in St. Ignace.

The property had an excellent view of the lake! Dining options were very close and walkable. The ferries to Mackinac Island were also very close. Room was clean and the checkin was fast.

Beautiful and clean, perfect place to grab a bit of summer ☀️ Really enjoyed the big patio/ deck with views of the water! Such a lovely, well maintained home away from home!

This hotel is a study in how little a hotel can get away with doing and still have a satisfied customer. It is the very definition of “no-frills”. The facility is a refreshed version of an old 60s or 70s version of a motel. And by refreshed, I mean a coat of paint, carpet, new beds annd linens, and some new plantings. It’s one of those kinds of places that all the doors and windows face the parking lot and there is a separate little Office at the front. Vending machine and ice in the breezeway. Know what I mean? The room was perfectly serviceable. It had everything we needed from a large mini fridge, microwave, table and chairs, bed, dresser, TV. All the basics. I could go on about it shortcoming ( bare bulb from the ceiling light, only one reading lamp between two beds, bathroom door didn’t lock or latch), but, the beds were new and comfortable, the carpet was clean and new, and the water pressure in the shower erased any bad things you could say about this place! I mean, it was incredible- No joke. I don’t of course know how it was in the other rooms but room 109 had a shower alone That would make me stay in this hotel again. So, in a nutshell, no amenities- you’re staying in a white box with blue carpet, it’s conveniently located to all the Mackinac Island, ferries, and decent restaurants, but don’t expect anything extra. It is nothing more than a place to rest your head and get a good shower And it does those two jobs very well.

It was convenient to ferry docks and restaurants. It looked clean at first glance. The bathroom was clean. Then I saw webs in the corners with insects caught in them. The second night I saw a cockroach in the coffee maker. Ugh. The staff was shocked when I reported it. Said it was a first.

The room was perfect! Clean, fresh and reasonable price! Bed was most comfortable we have slept on in a long time! Several comfortable pillows on the bed. Microwave, refrigerator and kerig coffee was all clean and appeared new. Would definately stay here again and highly recommend.

No front desk greeting or "enjoy your stay"! Just handed a key. Entered a room that felt like 90 degrees. Fortunately, the AC functioned, and after about 30 minutes we had a temp that we should have had when we walked in. There were no surface, hooks or rack in the shower area. Are guests supposed to put their towel or clothing...on the floor while showering? The bathroom door would not shut completely. The sink drain had a rusted out flange, chipped enamel and gunk. Judging from the thickness, of the bathroom towels, they must be World War ll surplus. Otherwise, given that our stay was a quick hitter, it did the job...barely.

Generally clean. (Mould in bathroom.) Bare bones dorm-style particleboard furniture and plain decor. We think this was a handicap room, as sink and toilet were both very low to ground, but no grab bars were on the bathroom walls. (?) The sink was plumbed backwards. So it served the purpose, but would not stay here again if other options were available.

Our room was clean, quiet, and my bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly, and I was grateful they allowed us to check in a couple hours early.

When there’s cobwebs with bugs in them up in the corners, that pretty much says it all. Stayed my one brief night and wouldn’t go back.

No vineyard or views, it's a place that sells wine. Room was clean and smelled clean, staff was friendly and helpful. There are some cute shops nearby and the water and dock across the street were handy. Very nice area as well.

Just dirty. No hand soap at the sink, no trash can in the toilet room and the heat/air unit not usable due to the filter being full of dirt. Rubber mat in shower was not usable just dirt. Wall and back of doors were full of dirt and the table was sticky. Will not return and should not have good reviews. I left feeling gross and dirty.

I read a lot of reviews and stayed here for the location and cleanliness. Both of those things are true. It's a good location and the rooms are clean. The front staff is also very friendly. I would not stay here again though because it's very loud, lots of parties going on right outside your door, also, lots of smoking going on right outside your door. My neighbors sat on a chair in front of my door and smoked for hours, my room smelled like smoke most of my stay. There is also very poor wifi.

Overall, very good facility. Hotel staff very friendly and professional. Clean. Great view. Somewhat noisy (heater and adjacent rooms).

The Bayside in was clean with friendly staff. We could hear guests in room above us.

Clean room with comfortable bed. Couldn't figure out how to operate the tv.

Good place for adults. TAKE YOUR KIDS TO GREAT WOLF LODGE. If you need to sleep mak esure you get the second floor. We had a a kid above us that was stomping around all night. Nice.room. only complaint was that they must have had a fresh hatching of spiders. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean shower and tall people fit just fine.

Black out curtains were inadequate, way too much ambient light coming in at night.

There for a quick overnight stay: arrived 8pm ish with a reservation and all was ready. Easy checkin, very basic room: clean, all the regular amenities. Only negative was that the wireless while they have it, it was so slow I never connected.

Liked how clean the room was. Everything was good exception the air conditioner. It didn’t cool the room properly. It was too humid in the room.

Great location right across form the marina and walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants and the ferry to Mac Island. We arrived super late after sailing across the lake and the staff made sure we could still check in even though their office was closed.

Alex was a tremendous help. She worked to get me a refund/cancel of a double booking. (still waiting to see this) Found that we had no hot water and upgraded us to a room that did. It was a lovely stay, after a rocky start.

The person who checked us in was very friendly and gave very helpful suggestions. The room was clean. Good parking. Would recommend and come back.

The people we saw at the front desk were nice and helpful. The people who spoke to me on the phone were very nasty! The lication was handy for taking the ferry. That was our purpose. This is a rather old motel with nothing special sbout it. Really quite expensive for what it is.

The staff was very helpful and we we quickly changed to another room when able. We were very tired and wanted to rest after walking the bridge. We were given a room that had a functioning TV.

We stayed here on our trip to Mackinaw Island. The hotel is very convenient to the ferry terminal. The hotel itself is nice, clean and well maintained. The only critique I would offer is there is no breakfast, not even coffee in the office.
