1 out of 3 elevators was not working for over a week. No other access to get to the rooms. Long wait line to access elevators. The breakfast area was very busy, however the staff were prompt and kept up the areas clean and fully stocked at all times. The staff were very friendly.

The air conditioner in the room wasn't working, I flagged an employee in the hallway who want able to help me except directing me to use the hallway phone to the front desk since I couldn't figure out how to use the type of phones they had in the rooms. The front desk gentleman said he would send someone up. He never did. It was wholly uncomfortable in that room. They need a full length mirror other than just a bathroom mirror. The complimentary soap, the napkins in the napkin holder, the toilet paper roll, all previously used, so not sanitary. The sofa bed ridiculously placed so that you have to move furniture to open it for use. I appreciate that it had a working microwave and larger sized freezer/refrigerator. I appreciated that there were dishes and a stove in the room. I want to say I remember a dishwashing machine in the room .... But I didn't have a need to use it and actually can't remember that. The valet parking while expensive was very helpful as the parking is quite limited. I ordered take out but they wouldn't let the delivery man upstairs

Very good stay. Room was clean and very functional. Personnel where pleasant and helpful. Location was ok train was a bit of a walk. Parking is expensive but the guys are great

Short commute to manhattan for half the price and twice the space- we liked the spacious room with sofa bed and the bathroom was very clean - room was quiet - breakfast we copious but very busy and long line for the self made waffles. The only thing that was very inconvenient was the long time to wait for the elevators with a very busy hotel. Many people were complaining - we ended up using the stairs even if our room was on the 11th floor.

Great location, near the subway station. The area is not the best but one can walk during the day without a problem. The hotel was clean, the staff were nice. The elevators were the only problem, one was broken, so the other two were packed with the cleaning people and visitors and stopped in every single floor.

Overall, the property was okay, but just okay. The staff were really great and helpful whenever we needed them. The common spaces were fairly well kept but occasionally got a little dirty. The laundry room only having one washer and one dryer for a hotel this larger was a little surprising (and disappointing when considering the wait on them). The overall experience was okay but, in the future, I think I’d choose a difference Residence Inn property.

I mentioned the leak in the entrance of our room to the reception! She said she would send someone to take a look! When we returned to the room the water was still there! Next morning when we woke up the whole room was soaked in water! Management did nothing about it! Worst hotel ever!

Towel was very old and not clean. The hotel’s neighborhood was really bad. One of staff was not friendly. Only one front desk for many customers. Too small breakfast area for tons of people. Waste of money to stay there.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable for 2 people. The staff at the front desk and in the dining/bar area were friendly, helpful and kind. We felt we got a great hotel for the price and easy to access the subway. While it seems like its not in the best neighborhood, we did not worry about saftey. Highly recommend this Residence Inn in Long Island City!

The first room I was in had a roach in it and I had to gather my stuff with a my 4 month old son and move in the middle of the night. The next room smelled as if a cat had sprayed all over the room. The check in is horrible and charges $100 incidental while the conditions are not satisfactory. The elevators are not safe. Every time you take the elevator the doors malfunction or it sounded like it was grinding against the elevator shaft.

Upside: New, clean, good sized room with kitchenette, excellent staff. 6 stops on the F train (ten minute walk) to midtown Manhattan Downside: Neighbourhood is poor and rough at the edges. No real amenities other than some national fast food chains near the subway stop and a couple of badly stocked bodegas. You will not find a cafe or nice restaurant nearby.

A/C was not working on the very first day after we checked into the hotel. Switches were broke and we had to struggle to keep it off before we slept. During breakfast staff is not of much helpful. Bread toaster are very old and it took ages for each person to get it out which contributed to lot of delay and frustration for the guest like us to get on with our day. ok for the money but if you are going to stay for an holiday with family I do not recommend… The sofa bed was broke and not usable for the third person so please don’t fall for the “marriott” brand it’s not worth spending this much money

If you are a team of three people and you are planning to sleep on the sofa, better rethink of it. Totally unbearable, although I consider myself an easy to sleep person. If we step aside the sofa, room was satisfactory in terms of aesthetic and functionality. An other disadvantage is the location. No view at all unless your room is somewhere above 10th floor. A constant noice, I couldn't result whether was internal or from the chimneys in front of us. Let alone, the neighboorhood, not at all an easy place to return after sunset. Breakfast not that much of a variety or a quality, satisfactory though. Staff (all but one) willingfull, polite and helpfull! Room cleaning and bed linen change completely satisfactory.

Heat didn’t work. There was also no instructions on how to work it. It was cold/drafty and so barely slept. Also booked a city view room. It was half a city view on 15th floor AND it was and ADA room. Didn’t book that either. Very disappointed in Marriott

The staff at this hotel really know about hospitality and made my stay extremely enjoyable. In particular, for my 10 night stay, Front Desk staffers Asha, Jeff, Marcus, and Slidell went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. They all had great personalities and showed that they enjoyed their jobs!! Also, kudos to Manager Iyana who helped resolve an issue I had. Please give them some sort of recognition because this type of service is rarely seen! Ms. Lee

Couldn’t get breakfast because there was way too many people & there was no place to sit. There should be a room for breakfast, not the lobby or bar area. There was also no AC in our room, we tried to call down and no one answered. There was always a line at the desk. Luckily we only stayed a night but it was pretty brutal with kids.

I had a cancelled flight tonight at LaGuardia and came to this hotel to find a huge check in line, HUGE is an understatement. The three staff members at the front desk worked the line with lightning speed, never acting flustered or panicked and they were very friendly and efficient with each guest. What scared me to death thinking the check in would take forever was surprisingly quick and the room is very nice, exceeds my expecatations.

1500 characters is not enough to express how rude their staff is. The Assistant Property Manager Illeana (whatever) starts talking to customers with "first of all" complete with eye and head roll, the front desk staff was extremely rude including the Wendy red-head toothbrush edged clown, the other short female clucking around screaming Inhave Expedia on the line as if she needed a dog bone validation that she was in fact doing her job, the security officer who looks at you with the deadest eyes, the Jamaican lady manning the breakfast bar shoulder checking you in the choas so that you drop food and the valets that brought us the wrong car and couldn't manage the line of cars blocking the exits...my favorite was having to beg for towels when the lady next to me was complaining she had a stopped up toilet and made requests several times to have someone look at it...the area is not one that can be gentrified because of the projects on the corner. There was a line out the door because the elevators weren't working and staff screaming at guests to take the stairs.

The hotel is very nice and well managed. It's a good hotel in all aspects. Two things to know. First, there is huge construction site across the street. If your room facing it, expect noise starting 5 am. The hotel is close to the F train which is excellent but the 5 min walk from the station to the hotel was a bit scary. doesn't feel too safe. But nothing happened so I am not sure if it's just a feeling. Otherwise the hotel was very good and stuff was very kind.

The property is very nice but situated in a non-touristy and industrial looking area. Close to the subway (5 min walk) but the area doesn't give the impression that it would be safe to walk late at night as a non-resident. Spent a lot of money on Lyft getting back from the city at night. What I saved in cost per night was eaten up in commute. I think it is a great option and quality stay, especially if you have a vehicle!

The free breakfast was not up to the mark. Most of the times the staff kept on telling that it's over. Even if you visit on time. No options for vegetarians. You need to only eat potatoes everyday.
