Romantic Penrose Cabin w/ Pond, Trails & Hot Tub

This is a veey private place. Quiet cabin. Get location. The hot tub was wonderful!

My husband and I had a wonderful getaway. The cabin and property were wonderful. Very clean and we loved the pond, outdoor fireplace and hot tub! Location was perfect for day trips to go hiking to see all the beautiful waterfalls. It was wonderful to be able to bring our dog so she could join us on the hikes. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had. I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Peaceful Getaway! The cabin and property are so beautiful and truly special. There is so much to do right on property! We enjoyed hiking the trails, feeding the fish, roasting marshmallows at night, and our kids absolutely loved the rope swing! The cabin was very clean, well organized, and had everything we needed. Robert and Stefanie were delightful to work with and very helpful. We made wonderful memories at Peaceful Getaway and can’t wait to return!

Did some hiking around the property...so quiet and peaceful taking a walk in the woods. Hosts were great to communicate with. Very helpful. Cabin was clean, everything worked...nice appliances...once I figured out the wi-fi setting on my phone it worked great..internet connection was quick...May sound a little strange, but the towels were big and fluffy. I love good towels...short drive to Hendersonville, Brevard, Dupont state forest. Great hide away...If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world, you should come here. Highly recommended...One of the best places I have stayed at. 5 days/nights Definitely a place to come back to.Tom

This cabin lives up to its name. The location is 15-20 minutes driving distance to town. It is tucked away in the trees gently on the mountain. The owners are close and responsive. Any needs are met within less than 1 hour. You have a large covered well lit fire pit pavilion. A gas stove fireplace in the living room. The cabin is well maintained and has modern appliances. A spacious modern bathroom. An easy to access and use hot tub. A great place to disconnect and rejuvenate. I have recommended to friends and family.

I can't say enough about our stay here! Absolutely gorgeous home, had everything we needed, super clean and located within 25 minutes of all the trails we wanted to hike. Our first day we hiked Triple Falls and had lunch at Square Root (pet friendly too). Day 2 was Looking Glass Trailhead, grilled steaks and s'mores by the outdoor fireplace. The hot tub was perfect for sore muscles at the end of the day. We will definitely be back!

This was glamping at its finest. The cabin and the property had everything you could imagine. The property had a hot tub, a sheltered fireplace, covered deck, two hammocks, and beautiful lighting. The inside was wonderful, too. A dinner table as well as bar seating. Comfortable furniture. Washer and dryer (full size). Lots of kitchen amenities. Plenty of cookware, dinnerware, and silverware. A lot of meal prep basics were included, too, such as salt, pepper, and spices. The bathroom had a huge shower along with plenty of towels. The cabin is storybook charming. It was the perfect place to go to escape the heat in Central Florida in August. The temperatures ranged from about 60 degrees in the early morning to 76 mid-day. Pisgah National Forest is only about 20 minutes away and has beautiful trails with easy hikes to numerous waterfalls. There was a waterfall you could walk behind and another you could slide down into 55-degree water. Even though my husband and I are both in our 60s we slid down Sliding Rock several times. The cabin's owners, Robert and Stefanie, live nearby but they give you your space. Though they respect your privacy, they are quick to respond to any requests. One of the nicest touches is the "s'mores kit" in the kitchen, and the "hike" message made out of kindling down by the fireplace. It's these touches that make the stay even more enjoyable. This cabin is easily our go-to vacation location.

We happened to plan our trip for right after Hurricane Helene when the parks were closed, but this property really made up for it! It is as good or better than the pictures, with short hikes and an awesome outdoor fireplace. Wonderful hosts, great for kids, pet friendly - 5 stars.

There are 2 cozy hammocks in the trees partially downhill in the front where we could sit, look up & see beautiful wooden lanai in the cabin. Further downhill is creek(creek up through woods) fed pond w/ a fountain that you hear in the day, a deck with matching, cozy seating and a pavilion with a beautiful wood burning chimney surrounded by everything you need & more comfortable seating. Across the pond my son, dobie & I discover the seated rope swing that was tied so high up in the trees, my son felt like he was soaring into the treetops... Maz would get quite the work out trying to catch him! Even more magic happens at night when the fireflies come out on the property. The kids loved catching & releasing them. THE CABIN Great layout! Most important to who is reading...It is very clean, beds are especially comfortable (all 4 of us agreed), the matching leather couch & chair w/ ottoman look brand new and you just melt into them. For those who don't have dogs, you would never know they allow them as it is that clean. We loved the super cozy blankets, they were many & everywhere! Hosts made us feel very welcome leaving little gifts w/ notes from wine, candies, a couple eggs in a basket from "the girls", drinks in the fridge, even a welcome basket for the pup. Homemade sugar scrub, white robes hanging by the shower, countless children's books in kids "bear" room, countless games & dvds. The woodwork in the house is beautiful, the kitchen is immaculate, stocked well, organized w/ upgraded appliances...mugs made me smile each morning. My hubby was thankful for the inviting hot tub as his soccer days have caught up w/ him, so he was in that every day. There's also a convenient, wooded, fenced in area for the dog to play, etc.HOSTSGreat people! We got to meet Rob, & Stevie, his retriever, in person as he offered to come down to guide us on the hot tub. His wife, Stephanie felt like a long lost friend in our text chats. We had a storm hit & she immediately communicated w/ us that power was out & when to expect it to turn on. That ended up being our fav night as we played charades by candlelight! Truly cant wait to come back.

The cabin was beautiful, well equipped and smelled great. We loved the hammocks and the outdoor fireplace next to the stream and pond. It was everything we were hoping it would be! You will not be disappointed with this cabin rental.

We love Peaceful Cabin getaway. The cabin is fabulous. The cabin has every comfort you need. Hottub is meticulously clean. Nicely stocked kitchen with quality appliances. Clean and quality. We love the tranquility of the mountain setting. Every morning we took off leash walks with our golden - it’s his paradise. Wooded trails, streams, small waterfall, etc. Just a few miles down the road are hiking trails with many different large waterfalls (hooker falls, triple falls, veil falls and more) Biltmore is 30 minutes away. And it’s in the heart of craft brewery country. We visited Sierra Nevada, Bold Rock, Sideways, Oskar Blues. Such a great place to stay and visit.

This was such a wonderful few days at the cabin! A stress free few days with my son before school returns and time with my mom. Never did we feel “too remote” or unsettled being just women. With a 14 year old, we also couldn’t be too far from a grocery store and town (bottomless pit). VERY ACCESSIBLE! 15-20 mins from anything we needed (hiking, biking, food). We were 15 mins from DuPont Forest for the day. The cabin is very tidy and clean, and my mother is a germaphobe! No animal smell at all- since this is a dog friendly spot. All the details have been thought out for you. The hot tub was SUPER CLEAN. No sand or grit or mildew. I’m always a little weary of public tubs. We did some fishing and had fresh trout dinner over the campfire with lemon— delish! Taught my son how to clean a fish. We made lots of memories and already planning our return! Wish we didn’t have to leave- so glad we found this charming spot! We will be seeing you soon!!

This was a great kick off to our vacation. Just the two of us and our dog. The house was easily one of the cleanest places we have stayed. The owners take pride and it’s clear which we really appreciated. The surrounding property was as beautiful as it was private. Our dog loved it! There is a fenced in area off the hot tub so you can keep an eye on your dog which was a thoughtful touch. Not a criticism just a note for future renters. Wi-Fi is spotty so of course don’t stay here for work/emails. Bring some cash as well. The trout in the pond are unbelievably beautiful but if you want to fish bring some cash as there is a charge (rightfully so). After the initial firewood that is a charge as well. Also bring cash for the cleaning crew tip. Would absolutely stay here again, thank you for having us!

Very nice, clean, well appointed cabin. Very secluded quiet location that was just what we were looking for. Would definitely consider visiting peaceful getaway again in the future!!

Maz would get quite the work out trying to catch him! Even more magic happens at night when the fireflies come out on the property. The kids loved catching & releasing them. THE CABIN Great layout! Just as the cabin is named, it truly is a PEACEFUL GETAWAY! If you are looking for a private, well-appointed property that is like a resort in itself all to yourself, look no further! The cabin is immaculate and very beautiful. The communication was superb and the owners went above and beyond with special touches to make sure our stay was even more enjoyable than expected. Due to our limited time away, we were not able to enjoy all that the property and area had to offer and with that, my husband and I look forward to the possibility of returning for another fantastic and peaceful getaway. This was my best VRBO experience. The two main things I would emphasize about this rental are the property’s setting and the host. I got turned around the first time I went to the property. It was dark and I ended up getting my truck stuck. I called Robert and he was there to help me within five minutes. He had a neighbor with a tractor on his way within 10 minutes, but he was able to figure out a way to get my truck unstuck by himself. He was incredibly gracious about the entire episode. Thank you, Robert! Beyond that, I could tell that it is extremely important to him that his guests are well taken care of. The house is stocked with everything you need, and the incredible property surrounding the house is meticulously cared for. If you want to be off by yourself, this is the property for you! You have an extremely large acreage to yourself without any visible neighbors. It’s large enough that he has approximately half a mile of private trails. So beautiful!!

I spent a week there with my daughters. The cabin was beautiful, everything was as promised, and the location was a short ride from our favorite hikes, natural water slides and camping/fishing spots. I definitely recommend.

This was my best VRBO experience. The two main things I would emphasize about this rental are the property’s setting and the host. I got turned around the first time I went to the property. It was dark and I ended up getting my truck stuck. I called Robert and he was there to help me within five minutes. He had a neighbor with a tractor on his way within 10 minutes, but he was able to figure out a way to get my truck unstuck by himself. He was incredibly gracious about the entire episode. Thank you, Robert! Beyond that, I could tell that it is extremely important to him that his guests are well taken care of. The house is stocked with everything you need, and the incredible property surrounding the house is meticulously cared for. If you want to be off by yourself, this is the property for you! You have an extremely large acreage to yourself without any visible neighbors. It’s large enough that he has approximately half a mile of private trails. So beautiful!!

This was such a wonderful few days at the cabin! A stress free few days with my son before school returns and time with my mom. Never did we feel “too remote” or unsettled being just women. With a 14 year old, we also couldn’t be too far from a grocery store and town (bottomless pit). VERY ACCESSIBLE! 15-20 mins from anything we needed (hiking, biking, food). We were 15 mins from DuPont Forest for the day. The cabin is very tidy and clean, and my mother is a germaphobe! No animal smell at all- since this is a dog friendly spot. All the details have been thought out for you. The hot tub was SUPER CLEAN. No sand or grit or mildew. I’m always a little weary of public tubs. We did some fishing and had fresh trout dinner over the campfire with lemon— delish! Taught my son how to clean a fish. We made lots of memories and already planning our return! Wish we didn’t have to leave- so glad we found this charming spot! We will be seeing you soon!!

I can't say enough about our stay here! Absolutely gorgeous home, had everything we needed, super clean and located within 25 minutes of all the trails we wanted to hike. Our first day we hiked Triple Falls and had lunch at Square Root (pet friendly too). Day 2 was Looking Glass Trailhead, grilled steaks and s'mores by the outdoor fireplace. The hot tub was perfect for sore muscles at the end of the day. We will definitely be back!

We had an awsome stay at Robert and Stephanie's home. It was exactly what we were hoping for. We loved the seclusion but didn't feel like we were too remote. It was the oerfect balance. We will definitely be back!
