Keep in mind that this is a historical home that has been converted into 5 units so it’s a little bit quirky. In this unit you walk through one bedroom to get to the restroom and also the other bedroom. We stayed with our 2 sons so this was not an issue for us. Also, the bathroom is tiny. You cannot wash your face in this sink. The back bedroom does get kind of hot but if you open the door that leads to the patio it cools down quick. The patio with the hot tub, and the location are amazing. You can walk to the grocery store, shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The beach is a 10 minute walk down Linden Ave. even quicker with a bike. The house was clean, the beds were so comfy, the host was responsive with the questions I had. There’s beach towels, extra bath towels, blankets, and pillows as well as a fully stocked kitchen. I didn’t cook anything this trip considering all the yummy restaurants we wanted to go to but I saw there was even a blender and an air fryer. When we were at the house, we were on the back patio enjoying the weather and the hot tub. It was a lovely extended weekend stay and we will absolutely be back to this property.

A great stay! Will gladly return. It was better than expected. Lenses typically make spaces look larger than they actually are. Not the case here. It was all very roomy.

Wonderful, stately apartment near the beach and steps from some of Carpinteria’s favorite restaurants. Well stocked kitchen supplies, cute back deck and private hot tub were huge pluses. Host and check in process was easy. We had a minor issue with noise (not the host’s fault) and the host was proactive and helpful. One thing to note is that the one bathroom is only accessible by walking through one of the bedrooms. Great for groups of people who are comfortable with each other.

Our family took a quick weekend away up in Carpinteria. We have visited many of the other beach towns along the coast, but had yet to visit here. The home was aptly described and very walkable to restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, and even vinyl. We enjoyed our time, but had a major problem with a non-functional refrigerator. One of our favorite things to do on these home stays is to cook and eat together as we have so little time in our regular routine. We purchased food for the weekend and stored it in the fridge before finding out the the fridge was not keeping our food cold. Our host Jana was very communicative and we followed steps of purchasing dry ice at Smart and Final while unplugging the fridge for the entire night. Unfortunately, the dry ice froze some of the food, the rest spoiled, and the fridge still didn't function in the morning. Jana reimbursed us for the dry ice and our spoiled food, but it definitely dampened our fun weekend and we had to spend more money on eating out. We go on vacation to de-stress but this added to it. Overall, we did the best we could and tried many of the neighboring restaurants. There are plenty of them! The hosts are purchasing a new fridge for future guests, but that did not help us during our stay. So, overall we enjoyed our time, but it could have been better.
