The stay was very comfortable, the person who checked me in was very friendly and very nice. The hotel elevators were not working due to a storm. Not the hotel’s fault. The person who checked me was sure to tell me before I checked in in case it would be an issue. He accomodated me on a lower floor. Breakfast was good and the person taking care of breakfast kept everything clean and filled. Would have liked an option for more fruit, but overall it was very good

Stayed for our weekend trip to Massanutten Resort. Great hotel that is very pet friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. Will definitely stay again in the future and would highly recommend to families especially if traveling with pets.

Stay was ok. We've stayed at 2 hotels in the area, this and the Hyatt Harrisonburg, and the Hyatt is superior. I thought the EV charging was free, but it was actually the most expensive charger I've ever used. 1$ every 15 mins. The Blink charger at the hyatt wasn't free either but it was about 1/2 the price of this. The Hyatt is better in every way. It is newer, cleaner, better breakfast etc...if you can swing the extra go for the Hyatt

Stoped in for the night before a visit to JMU. First thing I noticed was how clean & modern the lobby was. Our room was just as clean & comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast had a variety of things. Breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast. We did get down after break hours were over but we were still able to get breakfast. My only thought was to offer more variety of fruit—Granny Smith apples & mandarin oranges. I would have liked to have bananas. It was a great one night stay, we all slept good & left feeling full.

The Comfort Inn Harrisonburg is one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at in recent years. We were very impressed with the hotel cleanliness, upkeep, breakfast quality and friendliness/helpfulness of the staff. If there were any negatives it would be that the hotel does not have either an indoor or outdoor pool.

Dated hotel. The lobby seems like it was renovated but the rooms are old and dingy. Very musty smell when you walk into the room. The check-in staff was nice and breakfast was pretty decent but the rooms seems dirty and are in dire need of an upgrade.

Generally poor cleanliness. Outside areas full of garbage and cigarette butts. Breakfast completely unedible. Specifically the hot items were overcooked. Tables were not clean so finding a place to enjoy the inedible food was difficult. Room was broken. Huge cracks in bathroom. Door frame and door was not plum which provided a nice qtr inch gap whereby people could litterly look right into your room if they wanted to. AC unit did not work.

The extra added touches make this location special. The staff asking you what room you would like, the soft towels, the large double sink bathroom with a drain that actually has a stopper that works, the long bench so both your suitcases can rest easily on it, the double footstools so two people can relax at the same time, the soft blanket in the closet for when you feel chilly. Everything was clean fresh and appeared new. There were many breakfast choices including cheese omelettes, sausage, blueberry muffins, French toast, waffles, and cereal. Unfortunately both milk pitchers were empty when we were there. Overall an excellent place to stay!

The ac unit made a loud whining noise. I went to the front desk and asked for another room, and was told by the attendant that they are all that way and they are in the process of replacing them. It late after a long day on the road and we decided to tough it out. It got worse during the night, and sounded like a dying goat. I could not sleep past 230 am, and finally got up at 4 am and left the hotel. There was a new attendant at the front desk, and I told him about it and he asked why we did not ask for another room. I conveyed my conversation the with the attendant the night before, and he just shook his head and said that was incorrect, and they should have moved us to another room. He was very nice an apologize and said he would get it the room fee credited back to us, but it is a bit hard to do since we booked it on hotels.com. Will see if it comes through, I have my doubts.

Nice and clean. Front desk staff is mediocre at best. I had water back into the office to find somebody to check me in. As much as we like this hotel, the HVAC in our room, this time was not kicking out cool air, making it very difficult to sleep.

My biggest problem came when we checked in. I have checked in early at many many hotels over the years. Hundreds of times. This place was very slow and not many people on site yet they charged my wife and I 30 dollars to check in early. I will never go back because of this.

We have stayed here a few times now traveling with our baseball team. The people are always friendly and the hotel is always clean. However, on this last trip we had a 4:00 game so we went to check in at 2:30 and they asked for a $30 early check-in fee because the college had a football game. How unfair is that?? To charge me an extra $30 for 30 minutes or anytime for that matter on a room that I’m already paying $250 for. Which is a lot more for than I have paid in the past. If the room is ready, why should I be charged an extra $30? Not a good look!! We are already supporting your business in a bad economy and trying to squeeze your customers is not ok!!

A group of 4 families booked the rooms we checked in the hotel receptionist was so rude called our kids hooligans . She was being a jerk and was a racist . She addressed as people like you do this and that and stereotyped us. We were chatting in the lobby around 10:00 she could have been polite and asked us to keep it low but she yelled at us and said she will call the cop on us . This was a pure racist attitude

Had a terrible experience, the receptionist at the front desk , was very rude disrespectful, We were (all friends) were sitting in the lobby after the days schedule chit chatting and playing some games. Out of nowhere the receptionist yells and says lower your voice or i will have to call the cops. We were all shocked as we were not expecting the rude voice. There were few more guests at the check in counter. She didnt bother to have the decency to not yell at the adults in front of the other guests. Once the desk was cleared my friend and went and asked her, how can you be so rude and yell in front of the other guests. She goes ahead and has the audacity to say that our kids were behaving like "hooligans" and were making noise earlier during our check in. She was racially profiling us and categorizing us saying you all behave like this. She seems to be not fit to be a receptionist. She doesn't fit the qualifications of the hospitality industry. There is a way to convey your disliking. Please take some action. I also would like a refund of the stay as our stay was completely ruined by this behavior. We 4 family's came to the hotel to have a good weekend.

Fairly close to the highway. In a community with numerous stores, restaurants and gas stations. Rooms and hallways are quiet. Check in staff were polite and friendly. Next road trip through the valley I’ve found my new favorite overnight spot.

Everything is great at Cofort Inn. The staff is friendly and helpful. My husband enjoyed the breakfast of eggs, potatoes and fruit. I am vegan so i have to bring my own breakfast. The only problem is with the coffee it is awful, so weak it tastes like dirty sock water. We always use Comfort Inn wherrver we go and that is a problem with the entire chain-- horribly weak coffee.
