Hampton Inn & Suites Richmond Short Pump

Was a great stay. Would have been perfect except for one unplanned day where the water was turned off for 9 hours.

Nice clean room. Well ran facility. But $10 a day for parking is ridiculous. Also we were not made aware of the parking charge until check in.

So i usually stay at Hampton inn when i tracel because generally has always been at least satisfactory. This time no different. The issue was the fee for parking that was snuck in for 10 dollars plus tax. Everyone travels in a car so it was a way to sneak an additional charge on to the cost of the room.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. Friendly front desk staff. I’d definitely stay again. Had to pay $10 to park of which I was told they recently started charging a parking fee.

The pool was very dirty it smelled like someone was sweating and peeing in the pool area.

Staff were extremely kind. Property was clean and well appointed. One elevator needed attention.

Nice Gym. Clean

It would of been a excellent across the board except they shower doesn’t have hot water. It’s luke warm and every other time we stayed here the shower water was HOT… I always look forward to taking a long HOT shower when I stay in a hotel not luke warm water. Shower pressure was good but turn that hot water heater up. This is a Hilton chain hotel they can afford hot water for almost 200 a night.

Great pool. Our grandson loved it!!!

Great location. Close to shopping, restaurants, coffee, and bars. The fitness center was very clean and had tons of equipment! The only thing I didn’t love were the sheets, they were very scratchy.

Had to switch rooms as the door was broken is what we were told. A lot of blood on the blanket. $50 worth of food wasted because the refrigerator was not working.

Spotless! Staff was over the top helpful especially Susan at the front desk because I interacted with her so much and also Ceci who was the manager of the kitchen and she was lovely, pleasant lady and so helpful and made mini waffles for me one day and her cooking is divine

The hotel was clean, easy to access, and near restaurants and shopping.

I liked how clean the property was when i arrived. The front desk assistant was absolutely helpful, energetic and very professional. I didn't like that the room didn't have Dove soap, shampoo,and lotion. I wish hotels would have Dove as an option in the bathrooms. The room was comfortable and clean. There was some dust on the ac/heating unit.

There were several issues with our room, the most concerning was an intense mildew like odor. Additionally, the refrigerator was not cooling and the plate for the microwave was missing. The staff was very nice but little was done to correct the situation.

We had a wonderful stay, staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating, hotel was clean and quiet, highly recommend.

The rooms are very pleasant loved that they had channels on the tv so you didn’t have to pay for.

Love this location! It’s right at the top of short pump so plenty of shopping and dining in the area. The room was very nice; it was a good size and clean. It looked new or renovated. Plenty of parking and the room we stayed in had both a mini fridge and a microwave, which was so convenient. Will definitely stay again.

Nice sized room for their cheapest rate. Bed was comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water. Nice pool but no hot tub. At check out, front desk staff went out of her way to be helpful. We were very impressed. The woman running the breakfast was energetic and friendly - she put out hot things regularly so all guests had a nice breakfast. Great breakfast. This was our second stay there. First was so nice that we came back. Right across the street is the sprawling Short Pump shopping.

I loved the way the rooms were decorated. So modern and new age. Super clean. Bathroom was fabulous. Hotel as a whole was so quiet and clean and in a great area of short pump. I will be back again and again. Cant wait until my next stay.

Some of the staff was very friendly, but one of the workers felt like they couldn’t be bothered when we tried asking a question. Room was clean, the only issue was the AC unit. It worked fine, but it had a weird smell coming from it the entire time

This hotel is always 5 star.. 5 star staff, rooms and safety. We have stayed her like 10 times. We stay here every time we come to DC to get away. They are the best

New, clean, and conveniently located hotel. People with pets - be warned, the pet fee info on Expedia is WRONG. The hotel management had zero empathy for this and indicated there is nothing they can do about what Expedia says. We paid a different (higher) fee posted on the hotel’s website. I won’t book a pet friendly hotel through Expedia ever again. Or at least not without checking with the hotel.

After reserving a room with 2 queen beds when l arrived we were given a king room. When l questioned why l wasn’t given the room l reserved l was told that they were sold out. My email confirmation that l had printed confirmed that l had reserved a two queen room l was told it was because l booked through Expedia. No im sorry for the inconvenience. The person at the desk said you can just tell me if you would like to cancel or he reservation or not. He did nothing to try to help with my situation. Just that basically l shouldn’t have booked with Expedia. Poor customer service to say the least.

William was amazing at check-in! So personable, really welcoming! After a long travel day, his warmth was truly appreciated! The coffee/tea bar with everything you might need and available at all times is a really nice touch! The room was extremely clean and the ONE products available in the bath smelled divine! This hotel is very conveniently located to lots of shopping in Richmond as well as easy access to the highway. I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel! Thanks for a most enjoyable stay! I will be back!

Front desk not always staffed. Had to wait and/or call for someone through the staff door. Some drama and cursing heard. Parrell (sp?) was exceptionally pleasant to deal with.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed for a soccer tournament and the second night also happened to be my daughter’s birthday, William from the front desk was helpful and offered to store the surprise balloon bouquet for me.

We arrived 10pm very tired and stood at desk for 10 mins waiting for someone to come out. We heard someone and peaked our head in back and then told that she was coming and that she already heard us come in. We were also told housekeeping was not available. If we needed any fresh linens or Toiletries to come back to desk. There was only 2 towels when we got to room so next evening i went to desk and asked for 3 towels and washcloths and asked if i realky needed 3 of each..i said yes and got an eyeroll before she gave me the towels. That evening we came in thinking we would watch bball tournament on tv together in lobby. We asked for remote and told no the lobby was closed and not allowed to watch TV. Someone else not in our group was trying to get tv on and got it on from side of TV with bbal on so we did sit and watched. The receptionist was still talking about us not being allowed. I went over to ask her why? She said bc a group stayed there last night and ordered 10 pizzas without their permission. I told her in all hotels i have staed we have always hung out with friends without issues and that we would vlean up any mess. She said she wasnt going to have this conversation and walked away from me to the back office. There ended up over 30 people not all in our party together in lobby watching final four. I just thought it was aweful service throughout the 3 night stay.

Hotel was nice and clean. The room was what you would expect...it was clean and comfortable...breakfast was good. The staff was very nice. Would stay again.

The best thing was the nice lady that made coffee at 4am! Thank you for the early morning coffee! Most hotels don’t have coffee that early! Good job!

Front desk staff was very friendly even when they were slammed with a very busy check in crowd! I appreciated getting a first floor room near an entrance/exit for my dogs. Great breakfast options. Thanks for a great stay, it was our first time but we will definitely be back.
