Looks to be a new hotel. Very clean. Located in a quite area. Please provide Recycle Bins at least in the lobby to drop plastic bottles and cans. It may not be mandatory per county rules, but a brand like Marriott should show more environmental responsibility.

* Horrible bed. Felt like they took a pile of cardboard, covered them in a blanket & stuffed everything into a mattress cover. * Noisy AC. In 1st room. * Inconsiderate, noisy guests playing loud music, playing cornhole, yelling and tailgating right outside our window. (Had to tell front desk the 1st 2 nights we were there) *Eventually were moved to the 3rd floor which was a hassle because we had to pack everything up and move upstairs. * The keys would not open the side door, even though we were told it would work. Unloaded all of our stuff and carried it to the door, only to find out it didn't work. So, we loaded everything back up and moved the car again to the front and unloaded our stuff again to bring it in. * TP was very cheap & ended up buying our own & used that. * Shower dripped on the metal drain all night so we put a hand towel down to quiet it. * Found a water bug (?) in the bathroom in 1st room * Chose hot water for washers but only filled with cold water. * Shower door in 316 was installed improperly and doesn't shut tight.

This hotel is very convenient to the airport yet not so close you have all the traffic and noise. It is one of Marriott’s Boutique Type Hotels that we prefer over the bigger hotels. You don’t sacrifice room size or any guest services. The staff is great very friendly and helpful. The lobby area is cozy and you can relax there or in the breakfast area as there is nice place to plug in your computer. There is also a nice exercise area and an outdoor pool for when the weather is warmer. There is an iron and ironing board which came in handy, The beds were very comfortable and the big screen TV is a real plus. We have stayed in other Marriotts like this by other airports and prefer them for the same reasons.

Rooms I think we're clean . Doors were open at night after we got back quite late from a concert/2am. No one was in the lobby and the elevators functioned without card key. I came back down to retrieve items from car. Never saw any employees. Heavy perfume/air freshener scent in lobby. Unpleasant.

Even though we confirmed we wanted maid service at the beginning of our stay. They never came to clean the room. We had to go ask for clean towels. Also, the evening we wanted to go to the pool there was a sign saying it was closed. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly.

We were greeted by a nice young lady and given our room. The bed sheets were not changed and were dirty. Had hair and something gritty on them. We went back down and a gentleman was there and when we asked for a different room he seemed upset and was rude about the situation. I will never stay there again

We like how the hotel is close to 129 and shopping and restaurants in Alcoa. It’s located in the newer area being built up with commercial buildings. The hotel itself is clean and the 2nd floor was quiet during our stay. The room is spacious. The smell was meh and the pillows are too soft for our liking. The bath towels could use more softener. Overall, it was a good one night stay at the Fairfield. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff was friendly.

The heating/ac unit did not work properly. It was very hot in our room both nights and nothing I did on the thermostat changed that. The shower never heated beyond Luke-warm temperature which made showering uncomfortable. The rooms are spacious and mattresses are ok but the pillows are just lumps of cotton and no good options to use. Finally, the hotel charged me on the card I simply reserved with and the one I swiped to pay with onsite - double charging me. The front desk said I’d have to wait days to get my money back and sent me 2,000 points which is equivalent to $16 for them holding an additional almost $600 for days and days. Would not stay here again.

The hotel was great. The only thing that needs to be addressed was the bed. Very thin mattress and too soft (at least for my liking). This is the only issue I had - otherwise, I would stay here again - but different room.
