The room view was fantastic over the nile which made up for the terrible fishy smell and broken balcony chairs. We were offered seat pads to cover up the neglect. The room key did not retain memory and needed daily refresh. We seemed to be our fault. Tea section was limited to black tea. I personally dislike single use plastic toiletries bottles as they are bad for the environment. The hall carpets could do with regular cleaning Pool area needed a refresh. Disliked walking through the shabby smoking area to get to the pool, we were unable to use game area ,No ping pong ball or bat. Heavy use of plastic, tea spoons, toiletries, Buttler, ketchup, sugar single use.

We never give bad reviews but this hotel did not seem like it was worth the price. We stayed in hotels in Cairo and Aswan before this and much better. First off the staff couldn’t find our booking which was concerning. Then our room the air conditioning did not really work, everything was out dated (which we don’t care about but seemed maybe this is why air didn’t work). The restaurants weren’t very good we ate out of hotel every night. The staff at the restaurants were nice though when we ordered drinks. The shower did not really work the pressure was basically non existent and While My husband was showering it just turned off. The location was good and view of the Nile was nice and the pool was nice though.

The hotel rooms are in poor condition - and definitely not worth the money we paid for. The air conditioning wasn't functioning properly (luckily it was February so very pleasant in the evening), and the room was stuffy . Towels were worn out, and the breakfast whilst well stocked was poor in quality. Definitely not 4 stars as advertised by the property.
