Comfort Inn Apalachin - Binghamton W Route 17

There is no lighting marking the entrance to the hotel. The outside seating area had chairs that were broken. The carpet had huge stain on it. The keys didn't work the second day. I was told by property that they couldn't change card I payed with. Expedia told me the property had to change it. The hotel was ok for the price. Walls in room needed to be painted badly. I think the a/c wasn't working as elevator and lobby of hotel were super hot. The area surrounding it is an abandoned hotel.

Stay was nice.. hallways and lobby were extremely hot but other then that everything was good

Very friendly staff. Hallways and elevator shabby. Fitness room equipment needs work. Breakfast was fine.

The bed sheet had a stain on it, and the carpet in the room was inexplicably damp. But the staff was very friendly, which was a big help. Also, the "fitness center" is not worthy of the name.

Everything was good except that there is no sign or lights outside. It is impossible to see it after dark. I drove 5 miles past it until I realized that I was too far. It shouldn't be that difficult to show some courtesy to the customers, and put up a well lit sign at the entrance.

The staff tried their best. Our bathroom ceiling leaked from upstairs. Clearly this was not new. All the flooring and paint were in horrible repair. The common areas must have no ac as they were hot. I would not stay there again. Badly needs a facelift. Hotel was full so they should have the funds

It would be extremely helpful if management added some lights at the entrance of the property. State Road 434 is pitched in virtual total darkness. I had an extremely difficult time to see the street that leads to the entrance of the property especially since it was raining on that particular night.

Loved having a handy laundry facility.

Parking lot very dark. Marijuana smell inside and out. Carpets very dated and needed vacuuming.

This was the worst place that I have stayed at ever. First thing that we noticed was the moldy smell. My husband looked at the air filter on the air conditioner and it was black. There was dust balls on the walls, stains on the walls and hairs on the comforter. We tried to stick it out but after two hours we left and found another hotel room. They refused to refund us. This place should be condemned.

Nice bathroom and shower, good lighting, very comfortable bed. Easy access and convenient parking. A bit far from BU campus, but all of the good shops and restaurants in-between made that okay. A nice, almost 4/5 hotel with a 5/5 staff that made it worthwhile. Would stay again.

Wifi network was compromised and unsafe to use. Room smelled musty. Carpets were dingy. Room itself was clean. Charger connection didn't work. Coffee at breakfast was like Nescafe instant and undrinkable.

We had a health issue and needed to get in our room early. They were able to allow us that. That act of kindness meant more then they will ever realize. The room was immaculate, very big space, bed was amazingly comfortable. It was quiet, we got a wonderful nights rest. Easy off, easy on main highway. 2 restaurants next to it. The only negative is the light near the bathroon sink is not bright enough. I had to sit near a window to see to put makeup on. We will definitely be staying there again.

there were mouse droppings on the furniture and floor. also some how someone had a key to my room and attempted to enter while I was sleeping. thank god for the metal lock.

My room was is extremely poor condition. There were NO shades on the window to block out the spotlights from across the yard. The TV dIdn’t work, the charging plugs in the table lamp didn’t work and there was a large burn mark stain on the rug. The only saving grace was the kind and attentive desk clerk who moved me to another room, which wasn’t much better. At least there was a shade on the windows.

The Vestal area is always safe when I come back to visit family and friends! Comfort Inn gave us a very clean and spacious room; the queen beds were very comfortable to sleep on. A good ten minute drive to the nearest plaza. Staff is also super sweet, professional, and welcoming. I will definitely book here again!

It’s a dump. Bathrooms appear to have been renovated. Bathroom was clean. Hallway & room smelled. Most furniture was damaged & carpets may have never been cleaned.

Non smoking facility. 2nd floor and our room reeked of Marijuana. Carpet in room wet. Wall around air conditioner wet and molded. Mold around sink and on shower curtain. Odors were smothering.

The first room I checked into, the deadbolt on the door did not lock. The next room I was in had light fixtures that were not working in the bathroom and near the main entrance. Other than that, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

Also, the free breakfast didn't get restocked regularly, so when we showed up at 8 AM, a lot of the options were totally out and there weren't many choices in terms of what to eat. But beyond these 2 gripes, I feel we had very good value here.

Entire hotel was hot , breakfast was 6-9 in a Saturday. Got down there at 8 and all that was left was some stale bread , half a sausage patty and a little bit of scrambled eggs , was never refilled . We sat there until after 9. Paid nearly $200 for the room, had AC set to lowest setting 61 and room was very warm and uncomfortable . Couldn’t sleep it was so hot ! Never got WIFI to work so couldn’t even watch tv from Roku stick .

We have always found it to be exceptional here. Clean, comfy, lots of hot water. Waffles for breskfast are a nice touch. We do stay here fairly frequently. We did have some things unpleasant we have never experienced before: 1. They changed their tv provider & added "smart" tv since the last time we were there. The channel choices were terrible. At first, we had no channels. The desk clerk had to come up to the room & reset the modem or something. The desk clerk insisted it was much better because we could just stream all our own services (netflix, disney , etc) but there is no way I am ever going to connect my devices/accounts to a hotel tv. Hubby is mobility-impaired & watches tv for entertainment. Having access to NONE of what he watches while there is definitely a downside! 2. On our second night, we could hear the people in the room above us walking back & forth loudly for several hours late at night & very early in the morning. It sounded like an elephant stomping back & forth overhead. And it meant I got only 3 hours of sleep that night. We have never had this there before. We have never felt we had to be careful of what room we might end up in there, but we now have a room number we will refuse to be in there if we book again.

We usually love Comfort Inn, but this one had stained carpets, although the beds and room were otherwise clean. There were only filmy curtains on the window, so now privacy and lots of sunlight. The TV was very limited, with no NBC and a CBS affiliate from Tennessee. Fox was the only "news" channel.

Walking and running on the floor above was very loud. It was as if the ceiling/floor was very thin. Use white Noice from your phone or a sound machine. As a place just to sleep and have something to eat in the morning, it was adequate, especially for only $100 for a week night

Hunter the guy who checked me in was great. That man needs a raise, knew everything and was super cool. Best employee I have spoken to there.

Room was good, but staff incompetent and manager/owner unresponsive. Nonsmoking room had obvious cigarette smell and we were switched immediately. (Kid with active asthma.) At midnight, someone opens our door, and leaves quickly. Then hotel staff and other guest bang on door and try to open demanding to know who we are. Woke us all up, scared us terribly. They said room was supposed to be empty. I told staff my name and that I’m a guest. I called front desk to discuss, and same staff member informed me that room was supposed to be empty, and acknowledged that he found my name and am a verified guest. He offered no apology. The next 2 days of our stay, I asked to speak to a manager/owner three times to discuss, and never got a call back. I called again a couple of days after we got home, left another message, and still no response. Scared of hallway noises and locks opening tabs couldn’t sleep the rest of our stay, just miserable. If you make a mistake, acknowledge it, apologize, treat your guests like valued guests rather than criminals. And return a call to hear a customer’s complaint. This Bing U. family will never stay there again.

I waited for about an hour to check into this hotel because front desk fell into sleep during checking in.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and comfortable. breakfast was fine. Minor leak in bathroom faucet, which we reported. Outdoors could use some weeding

I liked that is only ten miles away from the university and is a quiet area right off the highway and food options nearby. Not nearly as crowded and busy as downtown binghamton and johnson city. Would definitely book another room.

Close proximity to the highway ans walkable to two seperate restaurants.

Close to En Joie Golf Club where we saw a concert. Clean and reasonably priced.

Breakfast was horrible! Literally nothing to eat!! No milk no fresh coffee just some bread some jelly and some old cup cakes thats all!! 1/10 just for breakfast!

Check in took seconds, my room was just off the elevator, Parking was quick and close to the building. Breakfast definitely could of been better but that is what I expected from a hotel. I would definitely stay again.

The room was nice though the hotel has shabby edges. I could not get the tv to work. The room was noisy, like someone above was lifting weights but after awhile that quieted down. The free breakfast was weird - cold fake eggs and weird sausage that tasted like cardboard- after i took mine other people came so the lady, she was nice, opened up a plastic bag and cooked this stuff that resembled eggs but they were bad too.

Front looked good. Back was messy. Smoking area messy. Holes in shades in room. I liked the shower. Best I've had. Friendly desk clerk. Needed a luggage cart but none were available. Not enough breakfast for the anoint of people that day.

Great breakfast! The room (and I assume most rooms) need to be renovated. The carpet in our room (201) was coming up.
