This was the worst Holiday Inn I’ve ever stayed in. They didn’t have enough towels to replace the ones that were dirty from the day before. Rooms were very outdated and dirty. We had to wait for towels to be cleaned in order to shower. They never cleaned the pool or pool bathroom while we were there. Someone threw up at the pool and it never got cleaned! The beach was across the road which we knew before we came. However, the place to get our chairs and beach towels was very run downed. The spot right next to it. Made it very uncomfortable for our family. Definitely not kid friendly. When the employees would show up to work anywhere from 11am-noon. They would blast their very provocative music. So loud and the music was so provocative. We would have to leave the beach and go somewhere else. Very displeased with our stay at Holiday Inn. It’s very obvious corporate never goes to make sure everything is in good order. So many repairs needed.

Great location and really friendly, helpful staff. Otherwise sadly, the gym is the only other thing accurately described in this glorified motel. Tired and gloomy decor, noisy both from the street and disturbed hearing other peoples' doors, and even toilets. Breakfast adequate, the pool bar never opened, and the private beach is 6 chairs on a deck. Fine for a 1 or 2 night stsy, but thats it. Outrageous that hotels.com are presenting it so dishonestly.

The gym falls apart and actually there are non-welcome visitors in the rooms…it is definitely not up to the standards of a Holiday Inn Express, specially seeing what the brand is doing across the Caribbean and Central America…. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was above expectations!

HIE is great for being close to the Junkanoo Beach area and vibrance of downtown, at a fraction of the other hotels. It is perfect for that. The breakfast is great and there is a pool. There are computers downstairs to use, a good sized indoor and outdoor dining area and great toiletries in the room. Rooms are small and the pool bar was not open.

The gym require attention. The rubber flooring was buckling. Water leakage led to the use of a bucket to collect the water. I assume that’s why there was moldy scent in the room. Other than than that the stay was good . Would recommend to others.

The room was cleaned daily, the staff were helpful, the pool was also clean. They also have a section on Jankanoo beach where guests can have free towels and beach chairs. By and large it was a nice hotel in downtown within walking distance to most places.

The young lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly, but the hotel was not well maintained. The pool was closed (for cleaning) and honestly I prefer the beach anyway but in the evening it would have been nice to be able to go for a swim. There was NO hot water. I prefer cooler shower especially after being in the heat all day but it wasn’t cool it was down right cold. Be careful sitting outside because the locals will come up and try and empty out the cigarette tubes looking for half smoked cigarettes. The breakfast was ok once you got past all the flies and gnats that held up shelter in the bread boxes all night. If you stay for more than a couple days plan on a different option for breakfast as the breakfast served was the same everyday. Again the staff was super nice, greeted you every time you entered but the next time I will choose a place a little higher end, because the Holiday Inn is not the same in other countries.

The view from the room was great. Unless you are on the second floor the balcony doors do not open anymore than a few inches. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. However the floor in the room was so dirty , over 6 days it was never washed, even when we asked ! The bathroom is very tiny, hard to move around in. The headboards in the room were old and stained. They have an excursion person on certain days of the week, which was not helpful, she tried to charge us more for the excursions than the websites. The beach across the street is loud , the music starts around 10 and goes til 8. You do have access to the beach chairs, but they are old and dirty. The pool area is small but no one was ever there so it was a bit more peaceful. The pool bar was never open while we were there.

I was even introduced, by the staff, to endless vacation club as legit. I lost around 5 hours of my vacation time with them and figured out it was a scam.

What I would expect for $70-90 but I had to pay $300. Plus an unexpected $19 dollar service charge when I arrived for booking through Expedia. Small room on 2nd floor overlooking a busy intersection with loud cars and motorcycles. TV and safe did not work. Couple of roaches. Musty smell to room and hallways smelled of cigarette smoke. Neighbors were loud in their rooms and hallway. Will not stay there for more then $90 ever again.

The staff at this hotel were extremely helpful and professional. The floors in the room were so dirty that my socks turned grey. Had to wear our crocs in the room the entire stay. Went down at 8:05am for break and there was nothing left. The loud music from across the street on the beach, car basses and motorcycle mufflers from the road was extremely loud and obnoxious. Loud noises all the way until after midnight made it hard to sleep. And on a Sunday ?! That’s wild. For the price it’s not worth it. We wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel room door would not lock upon leaving without having to use the key card to unlock it first. The hotelroom was situated with the window to the street and therfore very nousy from passing traffic. The mattress was worn and had soft indents in it. The shower water did not get hot after running it for 3 minutes. The remote control for the tv did not work for the volume. The outside gate locks to the street did not work. The designated beach area is very small and with the speakers of the neigboring bar blasting extremely load majes it impossible to relax. Positive: the breakfast was good!

The ride from the airport is about 25 minutes. Gas is expensive on the island so cabs are also expensive. We decided on the Holiday Inn because they offer daily breakfast which was satisfying enough. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The hotel itself was clean. Our room was very small. The furniture was old. The bathroom was small but they did offer shampoo/conditioner and body wash which was helpful. The shower water was lukewarm, but the bed was comfortable. We were disappointed with their beach set up. They have a hut right across the street from the hotel that supplies loungers, but there was no set up. We had to go back across to the hotel to inquire at which point they said they would send someone which took almost 2 hours. Even then we received super hard plastic longers with no cushions. We were surrounded by plastic water bottles and food containers left behind. There are other vendors on either side that rent chairs for 10 dollars. They took the time to rake their side of garbage and seaweed and place their chairs out nice and neat. The Holiday Inn will just bring loungers out when needed and again not comfortable at all. The 2nd day someone was there when we arrived but we basically had to drag the chairs out ourselves. The area has alot to offer with food vendors and restaurants. Food and drinks are pricey. I didnt like that there was a woman in the hotel lobby every morning trying to get people to go on a trip to sell timeshares. It got annoying.

Hotel room was a bit outdated and the walls are very thin. You can hear all the cars and the music from the beach huts at night. It is especially loud on the weekened with people revving up their motorcycles in the middle of the night. Overall you get what you pay for. It is a walkable distance to Nassau and Arawak cay. The restaurants nearby are not that great and very pricey. The free breakfast they offer will save you a lot of money. I wouldn’t stay here again but I do not regret booking it. The staff are great and helpful.

This hotel is right in the heart of things which made it fun and convenient for our stay! The staff was always helpful and more than friendly. The view was beautiful of Junkanoo beach. The rooms were nice enough but the bathrooms are so tiny you can barely close the door and are in need of a remodel. Our tub didn’t drain even after attempting to have it fixed so we never felt quite clean after taking a shower. Overall though the stay was very enjoyable and we would definitely come back again!

The manager and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I had an issue with the vault in the room and the manager took her time to come and assist me with having it resolved. The kitchen staff and room attendants were also very helpful and friendly. Every day my room was cleaned and beds were made. I truly enjoyed my stay and hope to return soon. This is the perfect location to stay in Nassau. Right across the street from Junkanoo Beach and close to the attractions downtown and easily walkable to the fish fry. Clean and basic The hotel is in a good location for walking to places and it has beach access across the street. The beds and rooms are clean, and for the area, it’s reasonably priced. They also hold your luggage after check out for no additional charge. Rooms have a microwave, fridge, safe, and complimentary coffee and tea. But, for my money, I am looking for basic amenities and courtesy and this hotel is sadly lacking. Staff at the desk are courteous, but the rest of the staff are not. They are loud and noisy in the morning way before 7 am making sleeping in after a long flight impossible; hallways are not carpeted, so sound echoes a lot. The hotel is a bit run down and they don’t have adequate hot water. After 4-5 minutes, our shower went cold. There is not enough seating in the breakfast area. Chairs are a commodity. There is food variety like French toast, real scrambled eggs, I know as I had shells in mine, sausage , bacon, baked beans, yogurt, bread choices, cereal, coffee and juices. However, many labeled food items had other food inside or the item was not there. For example, open the breakfast potatoes tray and the dish was empty— not being served that day. The food was ice cold. As one of trays was not working at all, and the other tray was barely keeping the eggs and sausage warm. They were cold after reaching our table. The thermostat in our room didn’t work. So we were not able to find a comfortable temperature for sleeping. Next ti

This is the perfect location to stay in Nassau. Right across the street from Junkanoo Beach and close to the attractions downtown and easily walkable to the fish fry.
