Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe

Shame I had to pay for the carpark as a guest. I know that the cheaper hotels do this but I wouldn’t expect it from your company, especially as there is nothing of significance near to your High Wycombe property.

The property is VERY well soundproofed so you do not hear the motorway from inside the hotel. There is not enough parking either at the hotel or across the road in their designated spaces in the 'park and ride' so don't be back late or you'll end up parking in the 'park and ride' and moving your car early in the morning to a designated space. Plus parking costs £4 per day. I had to keep asking for more coffee, tea and milk and, on one day, we weren't left spoons or stirrers to make hot drinks with. Apart from those gripes, the hotel was excellent with plenty of food available at breakfast.

Really lovely hotel, great service, lovely rooms and a great free breakfast BUT we booked this hotel because it advertised having several EV chargers. As we were travelling a great distance late at night this was vitally important to us. On arrival we were told that all chargers were closed and unavailable. This is the second time this has happened to me at a Hilton hotel. It meant that we spent much of the next morning trying to find a suitable charging point within distance of what little charge we had left.

The hotel was clean and seems quite new. Parking cost £4 for 24 hours. Bed was a little on the firmside, but didn't affect sleep. Noise was very well insulated, even though the hotel is next to the M40. We found the buffet breakfast very good.

Very clean, comfortable, amenities in room, bar and lounge area, nice and open.

Great rooms nice beds big TV and very clean and comfortable. New decor. Parking is £4 overnight but food is very nice enough but very expensive. Mains were minimum of £18. Two meals plus three drinks came ton £80 which was as much as the room. Eat out.

Easy to find and check in. Only downside is having to pay for parking. Clean and functional room, very well soundproofed. Good brekky included.

Parking was full a few late nights. The overflow parking is to far to be walking from late at night. To hotel should aquire overflow parking directly across the street

New fresh hotel and comfortable. Its really annoying that the trend of charging extra to park a vehicle during the stay is continued here.

Always a great nights sleep with a decent little gym, only thing is the lack of food on offer yet breakfast is perfect

The breakfast was excellent quality.A lot of different options on offer from cooked to continental to healthy fresh options .Front of house receptionist was very cheerful,polite and friendly on day of departure and when we were checking out . Cleanliness of the room was super .

Bed bugs in room

This is a relatively new hotel so the decor and feel of the hotel a good. However this was let down by the cleanliness of the room. Hairs in the shower tray, dirty shower head and waste of inches of dust under the bed. Not too much of an issue unless you drop something on the floor to be met by a cloud of dust coming out at you. Also very disappointed by the very noisy springs in the mattress. So don’t move an inch at night of you want a quite nights sleep. I have reported this to the hotel with video and photos but no response.

Very disappointed with the cleaning. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned only the tap was wiped to look shine. The toilet still had poo markes from the previous people and dirty shoe foot print in the bath. I have never seen such thing. Didn’t complain as we didn’t have time had to leave shortly and the room was for a purpose of a short stay but I would never put my feet again into this dirty property. The housekeeper needs to be retrained. Or replaced. We stayed in room 429. Lazy dirty people!!!

Stayed in 12 hotels during this trip. This Hampton in High Wycombe was by far the best and was not the dearest by any manner. It is an almost perfect Hôtel. Great staff. Spotlessly clean. Amazingly designed rooms where everything just works. Space at sink for your supplies, large comfortable shower with good water pressure and hot water. Kettle, fridge, hairdryer, iron, big screen television, air conditioning, comfortable bed, lots of space. Just a really well designed and cared for Hôtel. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We found it a bit cold in the reception/breakfast area , this would of been great a few weeks back when weather was so hot.We turned air con off in our room but still found it cold at night. The room could have done with a bit more of a dusting in some areas as I dropped my phone down side of sofa and discovered big clumps of dust behind .But other than this we had a very enjoyable stay.

Reception service and attendants at the restaurant and breakfast were great, but very poor room service, I went back to the room at night tired and there were no towels to take a shower, they didn't replace the toilet paper and they didn't clean the bathroom. The facilities in general are very good.

Lovely relatively new hotel, clean, comfortable & great service, only negative was the motorway outside our room could be heard all night, feels like a slight design fault for a new hotel built next to a motorway, would have expected better glazing

One of the most spacious rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Nice quiet place perfect for unwinding. Pillows are large and fluffy!

The hotel was clean, the staff were polite, clientele appeared to be more so business men/women so no other children. The room wasn’t anything special considering this was a Hilton compared to a premier inn or travel lodge hotel. Although clean. The adult bed was extremely hard and both adults had sore backs the next day very uncomfortable waking up hourly and uncomfortable tossing and turning. The sofa bed was even worse. Was like sleeping on the floor. No mattress effect, our little boy was up at 5am as he was uncomfortable in the sofa bed.

Very easy to get to and good parking. Staff were helpful. If you park at the back of the hotel and enter your reg at the check in desk, the parking is free. Room was very well appointed and comfortable. Had a fridge, iron, ironing board, hair dryer , safe and kettle. Can't think of anything else that anyone would need.

Room very small for two people. The bed was great - big and comfortable. The fridge temperature was not cold enough to keep my milk fresh and I had to throw it away. We were on the M40 side and could hear traffic through the double glazing. Breakfast was very satisfactory apart from the horrible sliced bread which was like cardboard. Evening meals limited and over priced so many people using deliveroo etc. On Sunday the bins outside the hotel had not been emptied and rubbish from takeaways was blowing all over the street and into the car park opposite. The staff were lovely.

It's actually much nicer than what you'd expect. The location is great, parking is easy. Staff is very nice. The rooms are big, well equipped and clean. Breakfast was great.

Stayed here several times and loved it but this time the staff on reception could not have cared less. Tried to get a round of drinks but both stayed silent with phones at their ears and ignored me until I left. My party went elsewhere for drinks (Uber into town). Left a bad taste and Holiday Inn next for us.

Most of the staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. One woman at breakfast was rather brusque and bossy and a initimidating in her manner. I believe she has a disability with one of her arms. I had forgotten that the breakfast time was different on weekdays than on the weekend and arrived a bit late when the coffee machine had already been switched off. She treated me like a small child to be told off, which I found to be an inappropriate way to address any customer. Therefore, I recommend better customer service training in manners and professional conduct for the kitchen/breakfast staff. I found the room to be clean and comfortable, though the bathroom is a bit small and you have to step up to get into the shower cubicle, which is not very convenient. There was a dirty stain in the carpet in front of the room across from my room which I reported and which was then only partially cleaned. I liked that the room was quiet and the the cleaners did not wake me by making banging noises while cleaning adjacent rooms, as has happened at many other hotels that I have stayed at. The hotel has a big Waitrose just a few min walk away, which is very convenient. However the prices at the Waitrose were quite high. The reception staff were all helpful. However, I had a major issue with the taxi driver from the company called by the hotel. The taxi driver was rude + very aggressive and I asked him to return me to the hotel within minutes of leaving as I felt concerned for my safety.

Absolutely brilliant stay at this hotel. From the welcome to the check-out, all staff were fantastic. The room (king) was excellent and clean and the shower so spacious. Shout out to Lorenzo who was 10/10 and a credit to the hotel

The property looked amazing, clean and very modern They had double charged me for my stay and chasing up to gain an explanation is like drawing blood from a stone. They have put me on hold and disconnected my call and refused to respond to my emails. Expedia have tried a numerous amount of time to contact them but no luck. Its a shame the customer service spoiled my stay from start to finish. I found them very rude upon arrival, and asking a question regarding parking was like they couldnt give me the time of day. Hotel was lovely, I would give the hotel accommodation 10/10 Customer services 0/10

Front desk could not find our booking through Expedia and we had 10-15 minute wait We were tired and just wanted to get to our room so not very happy

Well located hotel for visiting High Wycombe. Very quiet room with a comfortable bed and nice hot shower. The pillows were too soft but that is personal preference. Breakfast offered a good variety. Members of staff were all very friendly.

Simple hotel, good value, good for transport just off motorway.

Fine accommodation twenty yards by from the Handy Cross High Wycombe bus hub - primary reason I picked this location, and it was perfect

Stayed with my 8 year old son, as we went to LEGOLAND for the day. Good location about 30 minutes drive from LEGOLAND. Clean and modern hotel. Excellent breakfast! My son especially enjoyed the fresh waffles for breakfast! 😀

Lovely hotel, clean & comfortable with friendly helpful staff. Location wise, it’s a taxi ride into town centre. There is nothing in terms of food drink shopping etc within walking distance.

The hotel was impressive, a large comfortable room, a big bathroom, plenty of space, clothes hangars and a safe. The breakfast was outstanding with top notch with an excellent choice with a very friendly team on hand to guide. It was a twenty minute walk into town with a bus station right beside the hotel and while close to a busy road the hotel was very quiet. We will be back.

Great hotel with an excellent location. We stayed on our way to Heathrow Airport, having travelled from the North. It’s just off the M40, free parking and good rates. The hotel is fairly new and in perfect condition. Many plus sides. Only negative is that the 5 wasn’t working correctly and without the ability to open the window you need temp control as I was too hot!

Really convenient, clean and bright. Utterly soulless and in a coach park…but opposite Waitrose.

Great hotel, stylish decor, looked fantastic from the entrance to the rooms. Amazing shower and nice bathroom. The staff were exceptional, especially the breakfast team. So friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, really enjoyed the waffle makers and variety of food. Down sides would be noisy road, I thought the windows would be better sound proofed like at airports. Only one pillow per person on first night which I should have asked about but didn’t consider until I was already ready for bed. Didn’t sleep well but the next day I asked for two extra pillows and then I asked again and got them. Don’t agree with having to pay for parking as an additional cost, but I was expecting it from booking.

Nice stay. Have stayed previously. Very nice rooms and friendly staff on reception. This time disappointed with breakfast which is the main reason we chose this hotel over others nearby - cooked breakfast cold. Cold plates. Inedible scrambled egg. Tasteless mushrooms and the bacon cold and fatty. Waffle maker was not in use, which for my daughter is a big part of the breakfast experience due to all the toppings available. Some people asked for waffles and they were made in the kitchen but when we asked they said no. Disappointing breakfast experience

Absolutely lovely hotel . By some busy roads but you couldn't hear the traffic as it's got good glazing . Spotlessly clean and tidy Think the only downfall and criticism was the price of the food I believe it was £24.80 for a burger meal whereas everywhere else I stay they are priced around the £15 mark but Waitrose a short walk away and had a delicious Katsu Rice Bowl , Duck pancake roll and some sushi for a lot less

The only real downside to the stay was the state of the scrambled eggs at breakfast, powdery and tasteless.
