For an overnight stay there isn't much to complain about. It's clean, budget friendly, service is pleasant and the parking is well lit. The beds are a bit hard but it's a 2 story motel so that's not a surprise. I believe the establishment was refurbed inside and out so it looks brand new. I recommend it for a quick stay.

Very pleasant and clean motel ! The young lady at the front desk at check-in /out was friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my room…the room was so clean, it sparkled. Everything looked brand new. The furnishings are perfect for the room, a “minimalist” design and had everything for a relaxed stay. The space is efficiently designed and had a small sofa /table, desk, fridge and microwave. The shower was walk-in and very large. The bed was comfortable. Everything in the room appeared new, including the flooring. Everything was in working order and clean as could be. The parking lot is well-lit. I arrived after dark and felt very safe as a solo female traveler. I’ll definitely stay there again. This trip was for a cruise from Galveston, which was an easy 25 minute drive to the cruise terminal.

When turning on lights, seen a roach run. Husband squashed another, sticky drink ring on night stand. Gym stuck to glass shower. Floor was nasty. I do not recommend. We took off thin blanket with cigarette hole and slept on top of covers in clothes and checked out 1st thing in am.

Unfortunately, our sheets had not been washed when we arrived. We had to go to the front desk and ask for clean sheets. She gave us clean sheets but did not offer to change them or any apology. When we got back to the room, she had not givrn us clean pillowcases so we had to go back and ask for them. The free breakfast was not good, only two very small muffins in cellophane, like Little Debbies. We were very disappointed with this hotal. We thought about asking for a refund.

We booked this in advance based on the 8.5 star review. That was fake news! We knew right away we didn't want to stay after seeing the state of things, however because it was Mardi Gras weekend, we had no choice but to stay as even this hotel was at 100% capacity when we arrived. This was a very rough stay. The walls/floors were disgusting. The pictures don't do it justice for how filthy it was. There was dirt/stains everywhere. Just to be clear, I'm not that picky so it really was that bad. I didn't take pictures of this but when we went to take showers in the morning, we found that the walls of the shower had never been cleaned. There was still tile chalk from where the tile had been cut and installed but we took a washcloth and wiped down the walls to find mold/mildew coating the entire shower. When I say disgusting, I mean it. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere a little more pricey for piece of mind.

The air conditioning didn’t work so it was very hot in my room there was also a hole in the ceiling ( room 218) when I walked in the room smelled like cigarettes and also had cigarettes burns in the bed the sheets and pillow cases looked dirty 0/10 wouldn’t recommend

The Lone Star will get the job done but its the bare minimum. The beds were firm but not uncomfortable. Sheets, towels, and comforter were extremely thin. It could definitely be cleaner but it wasn't gross. Walls are thin, if you have loud guests next to you - you will hear everything. At one point my key card stopped working. The front desk replaced it but didn't ask me my name - kind of worrisome. About an hour from IAH, lots of places to eat surrounding the Lone Star. If you arent picky and are staying a short time then this no frills place will work.

We have stayed in this property several times as it is near our family that we visit. They only have coffee, muffins and juice however there is a McDonalds, and Wendys that is across the street and a Sonice that is in the parking lot. Property hass been clean, with good beds and quiet everytime we have stayed here. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Very hard to get inside the doors! No person to help except by text. A/c was not cooling well. We ended up having to move the bed closer to the mini split that was cooling the room.

The property staff is very nice and quick. The motel is very clean and surrounded by restaurants, Krogers, cvs and gas stations. The water was great pressure and had good hot water. I was very happy to stay here. It was also conveniently located to all attractions. Definitely recommend staying here.

I received notice that if i didn't confirm my arrival by 4pm (check in didn't start until 3pm), my reservation would not be held. It was a prepaid reservation and should be held until i arrive even if it's 1am. I should not have to reconfirm a prepaid reservation.

So my stay was ruined by people doing auto repair work outside my room. I asked when they would be done at 10 pm and they said soon. At that time i called hotel and said that i hope sound was done by 11 pm. At 11 pm they were still working. Called hotel and was hung up on when I asked them to deal with it. Called back at midnight. No response. At about 130 or 2 am they were done. I woke up at 7 am at talked briefly to morning clerk. He told me that was too bad. Sigh. Wont be coming back if I can help it

Front desk staff was very personable and accommodating. They allowed us to check-in early and made out business trip 10x smoother because of it. There was leftover hair in the shower/bathroom from a previous guest, otherwise the room was very clean

Customer service was horrible pillows and bed lining dirty, electronic device that was in my room was missing and the front desk would not speak to me and when I called he kept hanging up. I would not recommend this facility to anyone human.

The property was fine the room was fine. The check in was horrible the man was rude from the start. Being the first time doing online reservation I was not aware of having to give a credit card at check in which I did not have someone else paid for the room! I asked why I need a credit card the room is paid for he proceeded to tell me I could go somewhere else the card was for any damage to the room. I had 2 extra people with me and fully intended to pay cash for them but I went to my car thinking I could use my debit card and when I turned around there he stood saying you have more with you! You can go somewhere else I told him I fully intended to pay cash for them. It ended up I paid for them no problem and had to put up a 40 deposit and he was mad when I asked for a receipt for the deposit at check he sent the maid or wife down to inspect the room. So never again will I stay at this place… if he had not started from the start telling me to go somewhere else things may have been different.

Great place for the price! It’s either new or freshly renovated. Check in was easy, beds were comfy. Room did have a fridge and a microwave which was not advertised. Hotel only offered coffee and juice however there was a McDonalds, Wendy’s and Sonic within walking distance. Located just off of I-45, very convenient location! We enjoyed our stay

Newer property but there is no hot breakfast so the ad says “breakfast 6-9” is not actually true. (They have packages of puddings and fruit and muffins). Nice staff and clean rooms. Microwaves and nice size fridge. Bring your own body wash and shampoo

Nice place to stay for the night but when it comes to their amenities like breakfast, it was a very sad breakfast that was not to be had. We went in to have some breakfast and they did NOT provide it, even though their listing states Free On-site Breakfast.

When I booked this it was called Palace Inn. We had stayed here 2 other times. I assume new ownership hence the name change. When booked it said breakfast included. All they had was coffee and juice. No coffee pot in room and no kleenex. We will now look for a different place to stay before our annual cruise out of Galveston.
