We stayed in mid-May and it was chilly, so the beach was not used at all. The home is cute, clean and beds were very comfortable. Great location to go between Port Austin and Caseville. Lots of outdoor chairs and grill available.

Nice property. Please note all pics showing Beach and waterfront are a short walk past attached cottage (that is actually on the beach). This really is a shared property with beach access. Owner was very good in communicating upon my request.

This was our second trip to “The Thumb” and we have fallen in love with the area. Paul and Jade have created a quaint cabin with everything you’d need. It’s roomy (we had 5 adults), with a fully appointed kitchen, a washer and dryer which was a HUGE help, comfortable beds, a nice fire pit, air conditioning, and best of all just a few steps down to the beach! Neighbors were very friendly as well. Paul and Jade were also very prompt in communications whenever we had questions. We HIGHLY recommend Sandy Cabins and can’t wait to come back!

It was a great experience. Paul was very helpful with our needs. The property was very clean. My only suggestion is on the Vrbo app you should make it clear Unit B does not face the water. We assumed it did according to the pictures. Thank you for a nice stay.

My family and I had an amazing time at the Sandy Cabins! It was our first time visiting Port Austin, and we made memories that will last a lifetime. The cabin is very cozy, with a rustic feel. It has plenty of space for your family, plus everything you need for the perfect up north experience. The beach is just steps away and is absolutely beautiful. We went there every day during our visit. Besides the beach, the cabin has a great fire pit and Adirondack chairs for the best up north campfire experience! Perfect for making s’mores! The cabin is also close to many activities and restaurants. This was my daughter’s first up north Michigan trip. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience for her. Last, but certainly not least, Paul is an amazing host. He is very accommodating and quick to respond to any messages you send him. We will definitely visit Port Austin again, and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!

Clean and comfortable beds and pillows. We loved the beach, can’t beat Lake Huron! Walts meat market is one minute away and has everything you many need. Short drive to downtown Port Austin. Great host and we will visit again. Amazing soaking tub with plenty of hot water.

We loved staying at Sandy Cabins. The cabin was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was as advertised. Our fur babies loved the sand and water and the lake front location was perfect. We think this might be our new yearly weekend get-a-way with our boys!

This house worked Perfectly for our party of four. The beach is beautiful and it is located on the highway right in the middle of Caseville and Port Austin. It was well stocked in a semi-private setting. The only downfall was the spiral staircase. It is meant for smaller people and could be hard to maneuver. We would stay here again for sure.

This was a lovely home that was perfect for our extended family. We rented both the garden and beach sides. I would highly recommend this property, very well-stocked pet friendly for an additional fee and the most amazing beachfront. The neighbors did a great 4th of July display for an added bonus.

Loved my stay. I ended up traveling alone with my Dog and it was a great experience. The beach is right in front; note you can walk this beach for miles. As a hiker, there are so many local trails that are glorious. The microwave was not working (no biggie) and was delivered a new microwave the next morning. Wow!!!! Not expected. It’s so cozy here; real up North feel which is so nice. Side note, there is a store across the street, Walt’s. You can walk. Loved it! Going back for Cheeseburger and cannot wait.

As a hiker, there are so many local trails that are glorious. The microwave was not working (no biggie) and was delivered a new microwave the next morning. Wow!!!! Not expected. It’s so cozy here; real up North feel which is so nice. Side note, there is a store across the street, Walt’s. You can walk. Loved it! Going back for Cheeseburger and cannot wait.

Nice property. Please note all pics showing Beach and waterfront are a short walk past attached cottage (that is actually on the beach). This really is a shared property with beach access. Owner was very good in communicating upon my request.

Clean and comfortable beds and pillows. We loved the beach, can’t beat Lake Huron! Walts meat market is one minute away and has everything you many need. Short drive to downtown Port Austin. Great host and we will visit again. Amazing soaking tub with plenty of hot water.

Excellent! The beach is quiet and perfect. Close to Caseville and Port Austin downtowns. Second stay this summer, nothing not to love about the cottage!! Will be back.

It was a great experience. Paul was very helpful with our needs. The property was very clean. My only suggestion is on the Vrbo app you should make it clear Unit B does not face the water. We assumed it did according to the pictures. Thank you for a nice stay.
